People always roll their eyes when I say I use Restano. ""Oh they are so expensive"", I hear. I have never found them to be more expensive than anyone else, in fact it is quite the opposite, they usually win every bid. Their customer service is terrific, the folks that show up for service are polite, professional and answer questions. Human beings answer the telephones. Use them for your heating and cooling needs. Kudos especially to Joe.

I discovered a leaking shutoff valve just a few days before I needed to leave town, and Restano got me in on the day I contacted them! Love the office team (I talked with Cindy). I was glad to see the most excellent John W at my door, who gave me an advanced notice phone call for his earlier-than-expected arrival (always nice when you've been given a wide window). He has been here more than once (for a difficult job last year, done patiently and beautifully, and for an easy job today, done quickly but carefully). He was friendly, remembered me and my house, communicated well, and double checked my service club membership to make sure I got the best price. I want him next time (which is inevitable in my aging home)!

We have used this company for many years, mostly for large jobs. We recently called them to replace a part in a toilet that was self flushing. This repair was very simple and took only a few minutes. They charged close to $275! This represents over $1,000 an hour. WTF??? While they did a reasonable job installing a furnace, I would never hire them again. Their hourly rate appears to exceed the most expensive law firms in Pittsburgh.

One star but only for the office staff. The office was always courteous and professional during my multiple calls. Had a gas wall furnace installed by this company 2 yrs ago. It has never functioned properly since that time. The techs told me they have no time to contact the manufacturer and just kept charging me for ""fixes"" that didn't work. They got paid and I have a non working furnace. All I wanted is for this company to make the situation right. That didn't happen.

I've been calling Restano for several years now to maintain our heaters and AC units. Again, today they provided excellent service. It is wonderful to deal with such a great company. Our technician, Rob, is very professional and always does an excellent job for us. Excellent customer service from our first call to schedule until the job is complete. Great work!!

Upon discovering that my basement was full of sewage at 9:00 pm on a work night, I called the first company (franchise on the list), but they couldn't come until the next day. My wife and I were so beside ourselves and needed the problem resolved that night. I then called a local company, ""Restano"" and boy was I glad I did. Within seconds after I called their 24/7 line, Nick the plumber...contacted me, asked what the problem was and indicated that he would be at my house within the hour since he was coming from across town. As soon as Nick arrived, he assessed the situation and took the time to explain the issue, how my system works and how he would attack the problem. Although the job wasn't easy and it took some time to clear, Nick worked extremely hard and tried various options until the problem was resolved. Within 1 hour, he fixed the issue and indicated that if it occurs again (within a reasonable amount of days) that he will be back at no charge to once again ""snake the drain"". He also explained other options if the ""snake"" doesn't work, which would include the need of a camera and more, but at additional ""reasonable"" costs for which we completely understand.. Nick also explained other options to receive discounts on any plumbing issues within the future, upon signing up annually to have my furnace cleaned and checked,. This would give us some peace of mind if this would occur again, but most importantly help with additional costs per an emergency call. Considering that I had similar issues in the past, I'm going to call their main office to make sure I sign up first thing in the morning.

From the very minute that I contacted them and from the time Nick left our home, their customer service was outstanding (above and beyond) and we couldn't be more pleased with Restano. Thanks Nick and thanks Restano!

Please don't waste your time on the national chains if you live in the Burgh. So glad Restano answered our call for help.
