My mom had the exact same repair last week for $400. I was charged $1026! The technician was kind and pleasant, but tracked mud and raw sewage water throughout my home. I would not recommend this company. Hyatt Hawk plumbing would have costed me $600 less. He's out of Ford City, Pa. I needed a phalang (sp ?) and a new toilet. Exactly what my mom got in her home. I got an estimate from Restano for $917, which included a total pipe replacement, of the pipe that goes from my toilet, down the basement, into the sewage line in my basement floor. I didn't need that pipe replacement. I thought it would be cheaper, in that case, not more. I paid $1000 in cash, and $26 from my debit card. I did not get a receipt for the cash, and I'm still waiting for a receipt through my email. I'm a senior citizen, living on my social security. I feel like I was taken advantage of, due to my age.

We have had Restano for the maintenance program for a number of years now, annual checks of the furnace and central AC and have always been pleased with service. The AC unit was well over 30 years old, but we were hoping to get one more summer out of it. Long story short, the Central AC unit died last weekend. One phone call to Restano and they sent a tech out that afternoon. We made the decision to replace, as opposed to repair, given the cost of repair, and advanced age of the unit. Mike, the owner, was out by Wed, providing us w/ options - so nice to work w/ by the way, and his guys, Jake and John were here promptly yesterday morning to install the unit. Our dealings w/ all of Restano's staff from my first call to the final installation were easy, professional and very helpful. We were amazed how quickly they were able to meet our needs. I did my independent research to get an idea of what a replacement Central AC unit would cost us and the price they quoted us was right in line. Despite the high heat and immediate need for the AC, no evidence of price gouging. We are happy customers and would highly recommend them. Special shout out to John & Jake, who installed the AC. Such pleasant, professional, respectful young men. They were efficient and everything was cleaned up so nicely!

My whole house air quit during the last ten days of the June 2024 heat wave. Temperatures in the house tended to be around 88 degrees. I called Mike Restano who came to the house the same day, despite being extremely backed up with air conditioner repairs and installations. Compared to the other HVAC salespeople, this unit was reasonably priced.
Within four business days, Josh and Will came to install both the whole house air conditioner and a new furnace. They were very knowledgeable and professional. The installation took only seven hours, and they thoroughly cleaned their working areas.
Anne, who handles financing, among other duties, was very helpful with acquiring financing as well as registering the furnace and air for warranty purposes.
This is my second dealings with Restano and I would highly recommend them to friends and family.

Prices are outrageous. 750 dollars for less then a hour of work. They have you by the balls when it's mid July and your AC goes out. Capacitor retails $25-$35, was charged $395. Proper mark up is 20% I'll give you $150 in labor so let's say $245 for a $35 part. 700% mark up seems excessive. The more I write it out the madder I get. Don't worry they did the same for a contactor too. So I paid Aprox %1400 for parts with a generous $150 a hour labor per item even though it took less then a hour.

I never write reviews but had to find the way to do it. I would not recommend this company. They well overcharged for a furnace blower and the time spent and they REFUSED to have an itemized list of where the money went. so the fee for coming out i have no idea if it was waived. Then they had to come back out 12 HOURS LATER because the vent was clogged and they should have checked in the first place. I don't mind being charged for the work but for $130 for a 10 minute task I can only assume is the cost for at least the hour to drive out as well which would not have been there if they finished the work in the first place.

We have been utilizing their service for a few years now, including the installation of our new boiler and an air conditioning unit. We have been very pleased with their service. They are easy to get a hold of, they answered our questions and are very professional and stand by their warranties...would definitely recommend them!

Called for furnace service Friday and went the entire weekend without heat so I could get the better service rate. When they came on Tuesday they replaced a single part R8184 G 4009, which retails for about $100. Easy access, quick replacement. Half hour of work including the troubleshooting. The valves happened to be closed and the gf who was at home didn't know, so he did have to come back (called him back within 10 mins). Total time from first arrival to second departure, 57 mins. Their business model is to knock off the $69 diagnostic fee if repairs are done. The tech said his computer was down so I'd have to call office for invoice. It had a single line with a generic description ""Replaced oil burner primary control"". They were unable to sufficiently explain to me how they got to their final fee of $507 other than ""we charge a flat rate"". I'll let you decide whether this was a fair price.

We had an AC installed and couldn't be more pleased with the prompt courteous service from both the Staff and technicians. The technician practiced all COVID 19 protocols and managed to finish in a good period of time leaving a good part of the day to enjoy new AC.

I had my furnace installed last july. The installation was a nightmare. The young tech installed the switch upside down, left loose screws laying on ground underneath furnace (he apparently gave up on trying to screw them in), filter compartment was set up so ridiculously that you couldn't help from pulling/hitting the wires, my painted basement floor was all scratched up, he left leftover wire/dirt on the floor. When he told me he was finished, I walked over to the furnace to see if he would tell me anything about the furnace. He said nothing. I asked him where the switch was and to show me how to get the filter out since it was clearly impossible to do so. He didn't seem to be interested in installing this furnace properly. I'm only giving it 3 stars because when I called to have these things redone, the tech was very nice and apologized and chalked it up to 'young kids these days.' Also, this furnace doesn't sound quiet to me. If I have any future problems with this furnace, man am I going to be upset.
