The owner of Residential, Bob Ostrowski, came out to my place to give a quote for a tankless water heater. He took his shoes off before coming in. He checked out my old water heater in my small old furnace room. He gave a quote of ""$3200-$3500."" This quote was less than a competitor. I hired Residential to come out to install the water heater. Three young guys came out to do the work, they didn't take their shoes off and tracked dirt through my finished basement. When it was done, Residential gave me a bill of $3900. Becky, their scheduler, said it was because they had to ""drill holes in the concrete to install the heater."" Apparently the owner, Bob, didn't notice that my small old furnace room has concrete walls? Their final bill was $400-$700 higher than estimated, so I recommend that if they give you a quote, you should add $400-$700 to it to get their actual price. I would have saved money if I had hired the competitor.

If I could. I'd give this place negative stars. The absolute biggest jokes of a company I've ever dealt with. I had my these guys come out and do a 21 point inspection on my furnace. Since I had just moved into the place and it was in the middle of December. Not kidding you. When I say this. Not even 12 hours later. I get a call from my wife while I'm at work. Saying that furnace kicks on then about 10 seconds later it kicks off. So I try and get in contact with this company and get someone out here. Right after she had called me and after calling twice. It goes to VM both times. Keep in mind. It's December it's cold with two kids in the house. So instead of waiting for them to come. I had to call an emergency company to come out and get this running. After this meeting company came out and checked on it. He had mentioned to me that the piece that was broken. Should have been replaced when this trash company was here to do its inspection. So I waited until the next day to give this place a call during normal business hours. I politely talk to the women that answers the phone about my issue. Her response to my was ""what can really do about this""? I asks for half my money back. Because they did come here to do a service but it wasn't done correctly. She argued with me for almost 15 minutes. Before telling me she would have to ask the owner of the company. I get a call back about 2 days later from the owner. He says to me that he'd like to come over and see what the problem was before giving me any money back. What difference does it make? I wouldn't be taking the time out of my day if everything was done correctly the first time.

My point is their are too many companies to choose from. Stay away from this trash place.

Residential plumbing has never let our family down. The plumbers are knowledgeable, kind, and take covid precautions. Most importantly, they fix our problems quickly! Our old plumber retired, and this company was recommended by him.

Repair for my toilet which needed a seal. Gasket was $7.63 but final cost was $141.63. $$50.00 truck charge+ $85.00 labor final total = $141.63. This was simple replacement of rubber gasket. 45 minutes basically to keep flushing my toilet and letting it refill. Overcharged and ripped off!

First time we used them, they were great. Made a quick job of removing an inline filter under our kitchen sink. So we were happy to call on them again to run a water line from the basement up to our new refrigerator. Mistake! The guy spent **4 hours** doing the following: punching a hole in the wall and framing it, then abandoning it as not possible; liberally dusting our basement with bits of wood, sawdust, and handfuls of solder (melted into the carpet, splattered on top of the dryer, and clogging the laundry sink); and finally putting a huge hole in our new floor as well, putting a valve there, and then covering it with a giant metal cap that had the fridge standing literally a foot out from the counter. We could hardly squeeze into the kitchen from the back door. They charged us over $400 for that mess! When we disputed the bill and sent photos, they said they'd come and look at it. Never did. We had to call them *again* to request an adjusted invoice. They ended up charging us $275 without ever looking at the job or even calling us back. I would not have called them -or- paid them, but my husband wanted it settled. We had to redo the job so we could push the fridge back against the wall. It's bad enough that the guy didn't know how to install a simple water line, but having our complaint disregarded and having to chase our bill just added insult to injury. I absolutely DO NOT recommend!
