I call my management company because I noticed that the air wasn't working properly. They dispatch these people. As a renter, I had no choice but to use them. They never fix things they only replace them. I guess that's how they make their money. The guy was there less than 10 minutes before he says ' they don't make this unit anymore, we have to replace it'. But when he arrived, the AC was working. They get approval from the management company and the ball rolls on. I have no say. When the office worker calls an hour later to let me know that the unit would be changed out I ask what the problem is because it was on when the guy arrived and I hadn't had any more issues with it. She rattle off some short technical response. It takes about 5 days (in the summer) to change out my AC unit that they said didn't work.If my AC didn't work in August, in LAS VEGAS, how does it take that many days to come back and change it out? If it truly didn't work, I wouldn't have been able to stay there.
They were also called because I had issues with my toilet. Again, no fixing just replace. It was installed so poorly that it moves when you use it and the flooring is now pulling up at the base. In short..This place SUCKS!
Rudy G.On 12/12/17 I returned home from funeral to a house that smelled like gas and the heater wasn't working. When I called this company at 1530 I was greeted by a very sarcastic customer service rep. She actually asked me and I quote, ""How do you know what gas smells like? Do you work for the gas company""? This was the beginning of the worst customer service experience I have ever received. To make this easier to understand, National Home Warranty and Residential Service Center are one in the same. I finally convinced the rep to send someone out to my house plus I called SW Gas who also dispatched a tech. I was told they tech would be at my house by 0700-1100 the next day. You guessed it by 1500 the next day no one had showed up. I started calling RSC and all I talked to was the answering machine. Finally at 1700 I called NHW to see if they could prod RSC to getting the tech to my house sooner. 5 minutes later RSC called me, ""He is on the way"" and she hung up. When he showed up the first thing he said was do you know about the $65.00 co-pay? Wow no hello no can I help you. I said now I do. He repaired the leak got my heater running and scooted right out my house. Ten minutes later the heater blower quit working. I had asked him to look at it because there was a whine in the motor before I left. I started calling RSC and yet again I get instant voicemail which made me call NHW to get RSC to send the tech back. She got mad at me because I did not know the tech's name. I told her it's pretty hard to remember a name when first he never introduced himself and second no name tag. He came back and after 40 minutes tada he removed my heater motor. The next day RSC called me which is the only time I ever got a nice CSR person on the phone. She explained to reinstall the motor is a two man job and would I be home on Friday between 0900-1300. I confirmed the appointment which meant no one would be there on Thursday to repair my heater. You guessed it on Friday no one had showed up by 1300 at 1430 I called NHW because by now I had time to read the bad reviews and do some research. I now knew Residential Service Center and National Home Warranty are at the same address and are the same company. Of course I received more sarcasm and BS when I called NHW. I asked her to nicely stand up and walk down the hall to RSC and ask for an ETA. She told me in very colorful language how she doesn't have the time to check on their schedule. I told her that I am a disabled veteran and the cold was wreaking havoc on my spine and nervous. I begged with her to please get someone to my house because I was in extreme duress. I also told her that I had to cancel a VA appointment that took me six months to get because RSC did not show up as schedule. She actually laughed at me on the phone then hung up. I decided to use my last trump card. Since, I am also a realtor I called the owner of this company and left him a very detailed vm. I also told him that I would never ever recommend his company to my clients or other realtors in the area. I also threatened to go to GLVAR about the company to make sure no one else uses them. 20 minutes later two techs show up install my blower motor and by 1530 were out the door. I went to leave at 1600 and try and make it to the VA and I couldn't get out of my driveway. Both vehicles were in front of my house and I could not find either tech. At this point I have to admit I finally lost my mind. I started beating on both vans. I found them sitting in the back of one of the vans watching something on a tablet. I told them they had less than 15 seconds to get their crap off my property or I was going to start ramming vans with my vehicle. I have never in my life been treated with such disgust in my life. I do not know how this company is still in business and I wish I could go on the news and warn the citizens not to purchase anything from these people.
Kierin D.We have been customers of National Home Warranty for over 12 years. Overall, we have been blessed because they have provided good service for all these years.
We had a few hiccups with the pool contractor as there is only 1 pool vendor. And a plumber last year who came to install a new water heater who was intoxicated when he showed up.
We discovered a water leak in our home recently & called National Home Warranty. Derwin, one of their plumbers with Residential Services, came out. Let me tell you..... He needs to be promoted! He is AWESOME! He was responsive, explained the process to us, and told us what we needed to do going forward. He returned later after the restoration company discovered the leak, and replaced the toilet. He was very pleasant, knowledgeable, professional and a pleasure to work with. Give him a raise! You should be very proud of the employee he is & how well he represents your company. We cannot say enough about Derwin.
Praneeth A.Charged around $260 just for permit and few pieces of connecting pipes for water heater, which I felt is a total rip-off. Had to go with them because my home warranty uses them. Just for a drain pan they charged $40 while also not allowing me buy my own. At any other Hardware store it wouldn't cost me more than $20.
Gary F.Jessica, the new Manager of the office has been in contact with me about the previous issue we had with the Plumber they sent out. We have talked and resolved the issues we had. They did come out and fix the other bathroom of ours and the Gentleman they sent was very courteous and nice. He resolved the issues we had and cleaned up after. He did the right thing and took the toilet outside to fix it instead of in the house.
I am updating to a 4 and not a 5 only because of the customer service. The only difficult thing is getting a hold of someone at the office. But Jessica has stayed in contact with us for the issue.
Katya S.On Friday night our water heater exploded. We called our warranty company in the emergency service center, and they sent Opi out from Residential Servicd Center. He came and drained the water heater and replace it that night so that my family could have hot water. I'm thankful that my warranty company uses the company with relible and promt service. Thank youh so much, Residential Service Center team
Steven D.One of their guys lives on my block so I decided to try them for an A/C and heating tune up. Jessica in office was very pleasant and tech named Carlos showed up and did great job. Price was reasonable and tech was extremely courteous. Learned a lot about the units. Will definitely use again!
Shocked to see bad comments from others. Looks like their home warranty companies is who they should be complaining to, not the A/C company sent out by them. Precisely why I don't and never will have a worthless home warranty. This company however is great with good people and sucks why others don't know the difference
Jamal C.Had my water heater blow out on me yesterday so I called my home warranty company RSC and they had sent Carlos the plumber out to look at my water heater not only did he replace it in a very timely manner but was also a very personible person. I understand being good at what you do but the personality this guy has and his pride that he takes in his work is absolutely amazing. Thank You Residential Service Center and special thanks to Carlos keep up the great work!!!!!
Cody C.My recent experience with this company was excellent. Jessica in particular was an excellent individual to work with. There was a mix up with some services and she went above and beyond to find the solution and was consistently following up with updates until everything was sorted out and there was a final answer. Jessica truly is a great asset to their team!
Paulina F.Literally the WORST customer service I have ever experienced over the phone. My AC went out and National Home Warranty set me up with this company. Residential Services closes at 4pm in the afternoon even though National Home Warranty allows you to put in an ""emergency"" service request at all hours. Residential Services never called me, and when I tried to call them it went to voicemail... TWICE (at 11am on a Thursday). When I finally was able to talk to a real person she was incredibly rude and continued to tell me that she was unable to give me any kind of timeframe for our service then proceeded to hang up on me. I called and filed a complaint with National Home Warranty and practically begged for a different contractor but they said the other two companies they use were not accepting any more appointments. We are SWELTERING in a 100 degree house with three dogs. Shame on both companies.
