If I could give this company lower than 1 star I would. I have had 2 encounters with them and both were horrible. Both of my appointments, no one showed up during the scheduled time. No one from this company called either time to let me know that they would not be coming.
After calling them the first time they told me that they rescheduled my appointment. Who reschedules an appointment without telling the customer?!?
Second time. I called and confirmed my appointment the night before so that I would not have a recap of last time. My appointment was confirmed with an email. They didn't show up or call yet again. After calling them they made up some horrible excuse about how the technician was unable to pick up my unit from the warehouse and that department and all of management are off on weekends and I they couldn't do anything about it until Monday.
So moral of the story, I am living in a house with a broken AC in the middle of a hot Vegas summer, spent 2 whole days waiting around a hot home for them to miss their window and not even have the decency to call me.

Been calling for 3 days now. Holding 20 minutes at a time. I pressed the button to get a call back...but that doesn't happen. REALLY annoyed since this company is owned by the warranty company.

Working with Residential Services and American Home Shield, our home warranty company, was a nightmare. Prepare to be on the phone for hours with both companies & to tell them the history every time as though they save no information in their databases. RS didn't finish the repair, an oven light and ignitor light still not working. RS said there's nothing more they can do and that we should contact AHS. The interaction/communication between the two companies was terrible.
Our oven stopped heating on Thanksgiving 2017. After six visits to our home, this is what we encountered with Residential Services. They didn't diagnose the problem correctly and ordered invalid part numbers multiple times, broke 2 burners in the process of fixing the oven, at one point they left the oven with NO working burners and finally admitted that the original tech wasn't qualified to work on a Thermidor oven. At the end, my cooktop was completely torn apart with pieces in plastic bags all over my kitchen.
To summarize, we were without either an oven or burners for 129 days!

If I could give zero stars, I would. We have had nothing but horrible service that we have to use because our home warranty company uses them. They are NEVER on time for appointments. Like another reviewer, we had an appointment time that the guy missed. The CSR said the repairman had called and we didn't answer and had come to our home but we weren't there. WRONG ON BOTH COUNTS. Now we have three items that need repaired, one of which is a hot water heater. They claim the permit is $350. We called the county, and they said it is $50. The company will not install the water heater unless we pay that outlandish and fake fee. AVOID AT ALL COSTS....

**UPDATE - their service manager called and straightened everything out** original review: I called their phone number because they are the designated home warranty provider for A/C. BIG FAIL - the call center rep was a complete fail and could not help with any information at all. We are expected to blindly accept and pay $6,000 to Residential Service Center for an A/C unit and you cannot get any prior information.

Ive had this company on 2 properties for over 10 years. I will never again buy their service. My hot water heater broke and flooded my primary residence. I made an appointment and was home when they were supposed to come. I also have my parents in their 80's visiting from the east coast. I was at work and i missed the cell phone call and called back immediately. They said the technician was on site. A few hours later my parents called and told me no technician showed. So i was extremely mad and they said that there would be no technicians available till monday. Ive called to verify because ive been without water now going on 7 days with no showersor running water whatsoever i had to have my elderly parents go to a friends and ive had to rent a room just to shower. With all the assurances from their contractor residential service (i called again at 3pm today to make sure they were still coming) they are now closed and im on their 2nd no show. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE LIARS! They are horrible people for allowing this treatment to elderly people and should reimburse for the hotel service call fees and permits if they ever show. Ill ammend this when they take care of their end.

6-5-18 This is a good review for this contractor. On Sunday the air conditioner suddenly started blowing out hot air. On Monday I called the Home Warranty -National Home Warranty and claim filed. By noon Residential Service Center called and set service appointment for Tuesday 7 to 9 a.m. On Tuesday at about 7:30 a.m. Terry the service tech analyzed the problem: blown fuse replaced and Freon added for cost of $70 trip and $175 Freon. All went well customer service was great and problem resolved. Thankful for this and want to give them a good review.

I have been referred to RSC 3 times by my home warranty Co . Each time they are either hrs out of the time frame or they don't show up. The couple of plumbers they sent are un-qualified and broke my shower handles. This time waited for my 3pm appt , i called around 4pm they said it would be 6pm called back 710pm for them to say i am their last appt but the plumber will be there. I asked for a call to the plumber to find out when he will be here. Waited on hold for them to come back and state he wont be coming tonight and they are closed on the weekend so i will have to schedule another day . Wtf. What kind of company are they running there. Wish i could give them less stars.

Yesterday I was on my commute from work. Las Vegas traffic as usual, nothing out of the ordinary. It wasn't until I was about to take my exit that a van from this company decided to cut me off within maybe 4ft distance coming from two lanes down driving through where the lanes separate causing me to abruptly slam my breaks as I was going nearly 65mph on the freeway. Not only did I almost hit him/her BUT I almost hit the car to the left lane as my car swerved. The car behind me also had to slam his brakes causing him to swerve to the right leaving him with a few inches from the cement barrier. This van gave ZERO f***s and I'm not even sure they even realized what they did.
All I ask is for this company to educate their drivers because giving the circumstances in which this review came to be are not all too pleasant. Thankfully nothing serious came from this driver's reckless behavior but check them before a potential car accident does.

My appointment window was scheduled for today between 12-4pm. I used one of my vacation days to be home for this appointment.
I called them at 4pm to find out where they were, and was told that I was their plumber's next appointment. The plumber finally showed up at 6:15pm, and although he fixed my toilet, he recommended a new water heater be installed because the thermocouple had reverse-threading on it and he didn't have a replacement.
I only receive 8 vacation days per year, and this one was entirely wasted by Residential Service Center, and I'm sure I'll have to waste another one when they come to install the new water heater. This company is absolutely ridiculous, and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone... ever!
