Laura M.Excellent experience with this company!
Emergency response time was super fast.
Kyle Caples diagnosed the problem and had options for me to choose from. Communication with him was great!
Kyle knows his job very well.
Kyle did everything to keep my costs down without compromising the quality of work.
Super clean. Efficient. Smart.
Katrin S.If I could give 0 stars I would.
We had water leaking from our upstairs shower into our kitchen.
The water damage service came to mediate the damage to our house.
We called this company in the afternoon.
I was given multiple appointment options over the phone and I chose the same day appointment.
I was so excited with the thought that I would be able to use my shower again very soon but then, 10 minutes later my husband gets a call from someone with this company (I assume the plumber) telling him that he won't come out for us.
Not even a offer to reschedule.
In the meantime we contacted another plumbing company.
I honestly have never gotten a call from q company before telling that they don't want to do work for us.
it's a pretty sad world we live in when a major company not a mom and pop outfit is nice enough to book you an appointment between 2 and 6 then turn around and call back before 1 telling me they don't have the equipment to clean out a drain! really a drain is what you do to put put food on your table and to top it off tell me you are too short on staff. I guarantee you will never get my business and probably everyone I show this too will also call someone else!
OH THANK YOU RESCUE ROOTER!
your the best
We hired Resue Rooter Jack Howk to clear our sewer line and they not only didn't complete the job, they lied about what the cause was and advised us that they needed to jack hammer a section of our basement in order to replace the sewer line, for a cost of over $6,000. After they snaked the pipe, they provided us with a video that showed the line was still clogged. They told us the additional work had to be done right away or we would have to call them back to clear the line again the next day. They used pressure tactics, were dishonest, and did not complete the original work we hired them to do. We subsequently hired a reputable plumber who came out, cleared the line, scoped the pipes, informed us that additional repairs were not necessary, and advised us that Rescue Rooter Jack Howk was known for these types of tactics to scam more money out of people.
We had a toilet tank valve replaced. Everything went well; the technician turned up on time, was kind and courteous, and replaced the valve in a very short period of time. I gave one star because I don't understand why I was charged $389 for less than 1/2 hour of work. Take away the likely cost of the valve and we're talking $700/hour.
Eliza B.We had the same experience as others. Were told they would come for emergency service. They didn't show. Called call center and were told we weren't on the schedule despite having a text confirmation and everything. Though the text said the wrong date . It's a mess. I'm a doctor- I get that it's hard to be 24x7. But don't advertise if you can't provide that service! Guess I won't have water to shower while I prep to see patients on a holiday.
On Friday morning, two days before Christmas, we woke up to the sound of rushing water and discovered we had a busted pipe. We immediately turned the house water supply off and called rescue rooter. A courteous attendant told me that someone would come out the following morning and to expect a call between 8-12am. At 9:45 the phone rang and a different individual informed me that the company that advertises ""same day service"" would not be able to come to our house until next week. When I asked which day, he replied ""Thursday."" Naturally, I canceled the order.
I had a very simple fix. I knew the problem was the flipper inside the toilet needed to be replaced as it was corroded and too small for the 'hole' it was covering. I run a business so decided to get a plumber out to do the work. I could have done it myself but chose to let a local plumber get the business. I was quoted $450 to replace the flipper - which I can do myself. When I said no, that is gauging me and way overpriced, the tech would not look at me, would not speak to me. I called the main office and both the service person and the manager were so rude and instead of calmly speaking to me, they were sarcastic and condescending. Refused to acknowledge that they were gauging the customer. When I said the service dept. said they were fully stocked with whatever parts I need, that was not true as they did NOT have the simple part I needed. Manager said it was not his job to tell the service worker what to say. Customer service was less than a 1. I still had to pay the $99 just for them to come out. I will never call them again. I am now off to get my own parts for $10.
Over the past 10 years we have given Jack Howk Plumbing over $6000 worth of business. In March 2020 they installed a Navien tankless water heater for us. Now, 2 1/2 years later when it has a problem, they tell us they don't service anything under 6 years old. This is the second time they have been ""unavailable"" for us for a plumbing issue. The truth is they can't be bothered with ""small"" jobs, regardless of customer loyalty. I do NOT recommend using them. We are getting much better service from George Morlan Plumbing.
They came to inspect a clogged drain pipe due to tree roots. Could not auger the pipe. Dug out and replaced damaged pipes the next morning. Refused to itemize bill, charging $4,485.20. Could only explain about $2,100 of the cost. Seemed like piracy.
But wait, it gets worse! They promised a manager would contact us to discuss the bill. They never did. Just put in a claim on our credit. But the week after the work was done the tub stopped draining and we had to call another better plumber to fix this. So in the end we spent an additional $400 to complete Rescue Rooters shitty expensive work AND they dinged our credit. Dont just walk away, run. These people are awful.
