Insane. Just don't book them. Didn't show up, then cancelled my 2nd appointment and then booked me for a Chicago adress. I'm in San Francisco.

This is the most unprofessional person that I have ever come across in my job as a property manager. I waited basically all day for them to show up - it is now 5:28 pm - only to be told that immediate payment is necessary for him to begin the job. Employee could barely speak English and was just about the rudest man I've ever come across. Shame on you, Rescue Rooter, so unprofessional. Never before has a legitimate business refused to be paid after service by check. I will tell everyone in my community and management field to Not use Rescue Rooter. Any plumbing company is better than that.

We called them for a backed up toilet and shower. They put a camera in the pipes and also determined that the main line (original cast iron) could stand to be replaced. They then removed the toilet and snaked that drain which cleared the back up. That charge was $700. The estimate to replace the main line was $12,800. While dealing with Insurance Companies and Home Warranty companies after this, they both asked us to get the video only to learn it's not recorded. The tech informed me it would be $5000 to record is and put it on a USB; they price it high like this so you don't use the video to seek other bids. When I asked what my $700 paid for, he told me the toilet removal and snake was $700. He then hung up on me when I questioned the costs for just that. Their inflated pricing for the video speaks volumes given their exorbitant pricing on the work. A local East Bay Plumber will be doing the job for $5,000. Stay local and don't get sucked in by this corp plumbing company and their pricing schemes

Cancelled my appointment without any phone call or follow up. Inspite of making an appointment when I had a flood leak in the a garage. Unprofessional!

I have never been so grossly disrespected and lied to as I have with this company and its staff. I called them for a leak, they came out to inspect and then brought in a ""boss"" who in reality was a salesman. I am a 66-year old single woman who knows little about plumbing. He gave me the worst horror story about breaking up concrete and that it is better to replace the main water line for $10900. This was suppose to be done in 3 days. The salesman told me not to call the office if I wanted to move forward which I did anyway to confirm the price. The office was unaware of this.. When signing for the ""reduced"" rate I wasn't given a copy of the paperwork and didn't check the box that I was waiving the right to cancel.
My yard was torn up for two weeks. They kept telling me that the inspector would come within three days. In reality they had not submitted the application for the permit until much later. I called the office and told them to get someone out to my home to inspect because I had not heard from them. I told him what had happened and then when I got the statement for the inspection the company performed initially later, I noticed the comment there had been no damage noted. This rep came to collect the $9000 balance and said he would send the tech out to pump out the water. The tech completed the work that passed inspection. The clincher is that I had a second company fix the line where the actual leak was from the main to one of the bathrooms at a cost of $1800. I will report this to the State Contractors board but ladies and seniors please stay away from this company as well as anyone who wants to be treated fairly in Moreno Valley!!!!!
I only indicated one star because you cannot post without a rating otherwise I would not have rated them at all.

First day in daughters first home, there were terrible leaks that were under reported on disclosures. Called Rescue Rooter on San Leandro.
Not only were they able to find the leaks, one took 9 hours to repair.
Carlos and his team came, assessed the damage and repair costs were given. Carlos got us a same-day technician who worked on one of the leaks for 9 hours until it was perfectly repaired and copper installed.
Quality work is almost as important as the peace of mind my daughter and husband now have.
These folks are now our permanent plumbers and we could not be more grateful!!!

I called during the Super Bowl to get help with a clogged drain as their ad said $88 to unclog a drain. Four hours later the service man arrived and showed me his printed ""Statement of Charges"" sheet that showed $400 minimum service charge. I called Mike back at his (510) area code number and told him about my ""new"" price and he said he'd look into it.
Is this an example of ""Bait and Switch"" on your website?

I made an appointment on Friday to have a plumber come out and fix a leaking hot water tap in my bathroom sink. I gave the person on the phone the name of the faucet brand (German) and offered to e-mail her a picture of the faucet. She said never mind; the plumber would be familiar with the brands.I was told someone would be out between 9 and 11 am on Monday. When no one showed up within the allotted window, I called and was told that my appointment was for between 12 and 2 PM. Again, when no one showed up within the allotted window, I was told that the plumber was running behind schedule and that I could reschedule on Tuesday. I said absolutely not and so was told that someone would come between three and five. When the plumber arrived around 4:30, he tried to tell me that the leak was the result of having my hot water heater flushed lately and he wanted to do that. When I objected, pointing out that none of the other 5 hot water taps in my home were leaking, he turned to his colleague and asked if he had any expertise in this area. When the assistant said no, the plumber said he didn't do repairs. That's when I kicked him out of the house. If you call this company about leak, expect the plumber to offer to flush your hot water heater!!!

Carlos DelToro turned a review from a zero to a 4 with his ability to listen and make a negative situation into a positive one. He is professional and has the knowledge and experience in the water heater business that you can rely on. He gets the job done right. Carlos is an asset to the company.
