Beware! PLEASE READ THIS AND VIEW THE PHOTOS ATTACHED BEFORE USING RESCUE-ROOTER (Specifically the Clackamas Oregon branch). I can't believe the nightmare that Rescue-Rooter put us through. They will walk away from your home leaving you with a FAILED inspection. Please keep reading...unfortunately this review gives you limited characters to use so i cannot fully give all the details of the story.
Beware of Dave and Christopher and pretty much anyone from the Clackamas Oregon branch.
Rescue-Rooter did a pressure test on our new sewer line that they installed while we were at work. When they did this it erupted sewage all over our bathroom. Sewage was all over the sink, walls, ceiling (it was nearly impossible to get the sewage stains off of our ceiling) and sewage water was left to soak into our floors all day. We had to replace our floors, re-paint and replace all towels, mats everything, ourselves. It was like pulling teeth to get Rescue-Rooter to cut us a check for the damages they did. And on top of that Dave and Christopher tried to blame us for everything. It is disturbing the lack of respect they have. And this isn't even the last of it...
6 month later I receive a letter in the mail from the county (picture of letter is attached) stating that the permit that Rescue-Rooter pulled to replace the sewer lines on our property was about to expire and that it has not met all inspection approvals. I contact the county and they confirm that the final inspection was failed, due to the line was installed not to code and that we will be penalized if it is not corrected before the permit expires or we file an extension.
I then speak to the inspector that was on our site and he point blank told me that he informed Rescue-Rooter that he would fail our inspection. Neither Dave or Christopher informed us of any of this. This was their responsibility. I couldn't believe I actually had to speak to these people from Rescue-Rooter again.
I contact the Clackamas Oregon branch of Rescue-Rooter. I was laughed at, hung up on, they refused to speak to me and not one single person helped me. I am disturbed by how heartless these people are. from the receptionist to the General Managers.
I had to contact corporate to actually get them to do anything.
Janice from the Corporate office of Rescue-Rooter was very kind and she was able to calm me down. She was the one that pulled the strings to get our inspection approved.
Long story short. Please i am advising all of you, please take my advice, do not use Rescue-Rooter.

WHAT A JOKE!! In spite of a two-full-page ad in the phone book listing many services that they supposedly offer, when I called to get an estimate for a new tankless water heater system in my house, I was told that they only do drain cleaning and couldn't help me. Huh?!?

If I could give this company negative one star I would. I booked this company twice to service our drains for the new house we purchased. The first time I waited 5 hours and they called to tell me they had no idea when the technician would be coming but would call me an hour before his planned arrival so I rescheduled for another day. Again i was given a 4 hour window and waited 5.5 hours before calling and asking when the technician might be arriving again to be told by the manger Stacy that she had no idea when the technician would be arriving. I asked her if she had any idea what day might be good for them to actually show up in the 4 hour window. She said they usually do show up within the time frame given and I started that this was the second appointment and all told I have waited over 13 hours for them. She stated that she was sorry but that was it.
I wouldn't recommend this calling and scheduling with this company as they don't respect the customers time and do it care of you wait. She recommended perhaps calling someone else if I didn't like it. So you know what....I did I called First Choice Plumbing and I recommend everyone else does too.

I've used Rescue Rooter in the past so when the water started to back up in the basement, bathroom shower and toilets I called them. The Serviceman arrived and cleared out the line and suggested that we camera scope the line. We waited over 3 hours for Dave the salesman to arrive with the paperwork to authorize the camera work. It showed a brake in the line located on my neighbor's property. Dave suggested I sue/bill my neighbor for the repairs of my sewer line. Dave also said that they could start the work the next day. In the meantime I acquired two additional estimates for the work who's prices were half as much to replace/repair the sewer line.
My research with the city utilities dept. showed I could be sued by my neighbor for not obtaining permission or a prescriptive easement permit before the repair/ replace work was done on his property.
I called Dave with questions to review the work and confirm the materials list, and that a back check valve, catch basin/ dry well were installed. I didn't get a chance to speak with them, they arrived at 11:00 am and finished by 3:00 pm..
Dave called to meet, he became upset with my questions and concerns, he left without my signature and without any answers to my questions. Your workers removed 12 of my beautiful cypress trees and tossed them aside left to die. I replanted them, but they did not survive.
Again, I never signed any contract for the additional work and the work wasn't done correctly or with the proper permit or permission

88 dollars for a drain cleaning? Sounds good!
Ha! Methinks not!
Once he was in there and everything was all set up, the price magically went up to 375 dollars!!! What???
Yes. He had some weird ""oh it's because the pipe is a blah blah blah version of blah blah blah blah, so it's gonna be 375. Yeah. 88 bucks is only for this one type of pipe, despite what the ad says.""
wtf...
Didn't have much choice, and he promised they'd take that 375 and throw it towards the re-piping he suggested we get. So, hey, why not give it shot.
Two days later...
New guy comes, checks the pipes and offers us the price of 8,875 dollars for a job I was ALREADY quoted 4,000 for.
There you have it folks. BUYER BEWARE.
To rescue rooter? Hope that 375 was worth this review, wow guys... wow.

This is the 3rd time we've used this company for both our home as well as our rental property. They are fantastic!!
We were told they would come out and give us an estimate and if we didn't accept they would leave and we'd owe them nothing.
They sized up the problem and then told me they'd start at the cheapest option which was a special for $88 to unclog my kitchen sink. If it didn't work they would not charge me for trying.
Well, it worked after much time pushing the snake thru the pipes and I only owed $88.
They exceeded my expectations and I am happy to give them 5 stars!

If I could go less than 1 star I would! This place is horrible, quoted us one thing on the phone and then when they got here it was 4 times the original quote! The tech started storming out (after I said I wasn't interested at that point) without grabbing his things, and I had to stop him half way through the house to remind him of them. I then called and they said they wouldn't honor it either as it should have been further explained to me but it wasn't and I wasted half my day waiting for them. DONT DO IT!

Kitchen line block first quoted $88.00 plumbers went through the bathroom sink and then through the pipe.(BIG MESS). All in All they repiped the whole house ending in a bill for 15,000.00 dollars.I asked for a TOTAL break down of materials and hours.I needed how much each thing cost Like pipe fitting $5.00's ect.. I have not recieved it to put to My home owners insurance for a claim. What was to be a 2 hour fix became a
5 day fix....basement still smells of sewage.

So let me shed a little light on ars rescue rooter tactics; 88 dollar drain unclog? Really? That's just a ploy to get in your door, then it just so happens that a PRS with a camera is close!! ( come on) they then proceed to tell you all the scary problems with your drain line, but no worries the have ""options"" if you decline the options the drain tech will ""pop"" that drain in under 15 mins... hes paid commission and doesnt want to waste anymore time on you.. but, if you go for the way overpriced repair they have to make a couple phone calls to verify you are willing to get screwed.. but, there is a way out. If you call and complain after you have figured out you were absolutely screwed, the will give you all your money back, every penny as long as you sign a form stating you will not discuss it with anyone. Oh and the tech, prs. Loose all their commission... wanna know anything else?? Email me ..

Money grabbing. Do not trust. Called up but was told they were 'too busy' to come out... indefinitely, like ever. My job wasn't big enough for them to bother with.
