Horrible service and incredibly rude. I went there to buy flapper for my toilet and after waiting for 25 minutes, I was finally ready to be waited on. Then someone who came in after me said ""is he a plumber"". When I admitted that I was not a plumber they told me I would have to wait another 20 minutes or more. Very insulting, particularly because when I re-did my kitchen and bathrooms, I bought all my fixtures from Republic (and probably over-paid).

Would strongly recommend that you never shop there.

Horrible service. Unless you are looking at high-end fixtures, expect a ridiculously long wait and terrible service - several people sitting around chatting and laughing, unwilling to help.

Another rave review for Gary in Norwood! I had the good fortune to meet with him yesterday and he was an incredible asset in helping me pick out the right faucet for my kitchen sink. I can't attest to the friendliness, knowledgeability and efficiency of the other sales people, but if you can wait to meet with Gary, it would be worth your while. He made my experience at Republic . (Oh, and I love my gorgeous Moen faucet too! Priced right and in stock.)

Went in for an attachment for my claw foot tub. The lady salesperson was rude and dismissive. Before I could even explain she was shaking her head no. She directed me to Home Depot. WTH. This is a specialty plumbing company. I'm convinced she was clueless about what I was asking for but just wanted to not help. She was just as rude to theme t guy waiting. Never will go back.

This review is for Gary, one of the sales associates. My contractor recommended him and I am so glad he did!

First, compared to many other showrooms, you can see a lot more at Republic. (I had also gone to Monique's and Salem Plumbing.) Gary was great about showing me the different price options and what they would look like (ish), even if they didn't have the exact item in the showroom. Also, he was really flexible about working on a quick timeline to get the whole order in during the sales free weekend, much appreciated!

I never felt pressured into buying anything. The couple of places in which I went with the more expensive option, I felt like I did so on my own, being able to make an informed decision after seeing multiple options. Finally, I was really impressed with his customer service. At one point I misunderstood a part of our order and thought that the item that was delivered was wrong. I emailed him and he quickly looked into it, kindly explained to me my misunderstanding, and then took the time to look into other options with me.

In regards to the wholesale counter, they have a sign that says that they service tradesmen first. As the daughter of an architect, I was taught early in life that the number one rule is... Keep contractors happy! This place seems to subscribe to the same philosophy. I appreciated a place that really treated the contractors and plumbers well; they are making them their priority. However, if that is going to rub you the wrong way, maybe not the place for you.

Shockingly rude and condescending staff. I was lectured and told my preferences are wrong. I should have realized I was in for a whale size dose of arrogance when I noticed there are no prices on anything. Nice looking showroom though.

Ordered a tub and that guy said it might take 1 week to get here. Now it's been 3 weeks and he has yet to give us a delivery date. Will not buy anything from them again. I asked to buy a bath tub, the guy at the store was trying to sell me an entire bathroom and things I don't want....Also no returns so you are better off ordering from wayfair..

After days of driving to places and talking to people, we were so glad we spoke to Terry. We had ideas of what we wanted but we're not sure on the direction to go. He walked us through top to bottom our entire remodel and he isn't even our contractor! Very knowledgable and easy going. Priced out all of the items and his prices were fairly on par with what we've seen at online wholesalers. Great experience overall and highly recommend.

Merchandise (4 Stars):

I actually have bought several things for my bathrooms and kitchen here. Although Republic Plumbing is very pricey, I am a fan of the merchandise being sold here.

Problems:

-One problem is it seems a lot of items are out of stock and can take weeks to ship to their store or even when being expedited directly to your home.

-Another problem is, despite the fact that you place your order with and pay Republic Plumbing, if anything goes wrong with your order they take no responsibility and inform you that they did everything correctly on their end and the problem is with the vendor. As a result, you have zero recourse in the situation as you are dealing directly with Republic Plumbing and not directly with the vendor.

Customer Service (1-2 Stars):

The Good.

-I like their system that as you walk into the store you immediately sign-in and the very next available sales associate is assigned to you. This prevents you from having to chase down the sales associates. Very efficient.

Th Bad.

-The several different sale associates I have dealt during different visits/purchases came across as pretentious, condescending, and even downright arrogant.

The Ugly.

-During my most recent visit to Republic Plumbing, I was emphatically told the specs for a particular item I was looking for did not exist and was I made to feel stupid for even asking. I was shown something comparable but in a different size and was informed it could take up to two weeks to ship to their store.

Upon my own research I was able to find exactly what I was looking for online (rather quickly), buy it on Amazon.com, and have it shipped to my home within days; so I have question just how knowledgeable some of these sales associates really are.
