We needed a new water heater (our old one was ancient and on its last legs). Jim was super responsive (same-day), and came out and gave us a very reasonable quote the following day. Our job was certainly not "run of the mill," as the previous owners of our home definitely made shortcuts versus keeping things up to code. Despite the project taking much longer than he anticipated, the cost did not change. We feel super confident that the work Jim did will last for years to come. Also, he is a very friendly and affable guy - full of fun facts and interesting stories! He runs his business with honesty and integrity. Thanks again Jim!

I shopped for weeks to find a good reliable plumber. Jim is very honest and really wants the best for your project. I had many plumbers give me outrageous bids and try to take advantage of me. It's very hard when you're a single woman, and not familiar with the questions to ask or really know what the truth is. Jim will explain everything and you can tell he has a passion for what he does. Not only would you get a good plumber, you'll get a very honest one. Which now a days doesn't happen very often.

I called another company and they came out and gave me a ridiculously inflated estimate, while they attempted to re-work the pricing, I got a hold of Jim and he gave me a fair price and came out to fix my hot water heater that day. Jim stayed late to make sure that I would be taken care of and didn't have to take another cold shower! Jim is very knowledgeable, kind and clearly puts a lot of hard work and care into what he does. Jim at Republic has handled several plumbing repairs and installations around my house. I always felt as though I was their most important client, every time he came to my house. Prices were reasonable, work was super.

He even fixed things that were not strictly necessary to the repair in question, but that the plumber before had done incorrectly. He asked me first and explained the consequences of leaving it as it was. I felt like he was doing things the way hewould want them done at his own house. All this and still at a very fair price.

Jim is amazing. I've used him on numerous occasions and he has always been fair, courteous and quickly gets the job done. We originally used another plumber to install our tub, but he did a terrible job, so we contacted Jim who was able to fix the previous plumber's work. Then we got a flood in our kitchen and Jim was able to come quickly to turn off the water and then returned later to fix the complicated leak issue. We only trust him for all our plumbing needs. I highly recommend him!!

I found Jim on yelp after 6 other plumbers were unavailable on a Saturday. He was at the house in less than 2 hours and got the drain problem solved. He is also noticed a crack in the drain piping and is coming back to get that fixed. Reasonable rates and good work, will use again.
