Jared/Cooper and their team were great to work with in my repiping my house. Repiping a whole house is a major project. They were conscience and made it a priority to reduce any impact to my family during the project. In addition they were attentive to my needs and requests i made of them throughout the process. I highly recommend their services if you issues with your existing plumbing/pipes.

Re-pipe Specialist did a great job with our pipes. They were very professional from the start to finish. Even with COVID, they were able to come a little early and replace our pipes. I never knew that water pressure could be life changing. The financing options were great and they were able to match a lower bid that we had. The best part is the life time warranty.

We recently had the water pipes replaced in our house that was built in 1953. Repipe Specialists did an outstanding job. The subcontractor they used, Keemer Plumbing, I would use again in a heartbeat. I am very pleased with the job they did.

Paid top dollar for bottom quality from sub contractors. The only good thing was they were quick as we needed to get the house repiped before we could move on with the rest of the remodel. Paid 6 grand for an easy job with open access as the house was gutted. All that for a couple botched toilet stub outs and a mess of pex running out of the utility room with no apparent fore thought to organization and lots of cutting corners. Pushy salesman that required a $2k down at the estimate. Would have been better off finding a plumber to repipe as our tile contractor had to fix all the plumbing in the showers anyway. Very disappointed in the work

Re-pipe specialist did an outstanding job in our home and our water pressure is fantastic. The work was done one day sooner than expected and they kept the job site clean. The workers were all professional and extremely helpful.

I was referred to Repipe Specialists by a friend who used their services in the past. I contacted them today to see if they could send someone out to my home by the end of the week. I was told it would be March 6th before they had anyone available, which is bad business in my opinion. Not only did they lose a sale, but I will not refer anyone in the future. People do not call a repiping company because they need something done in two weeks; it's usually needs attention asap.

With our house being built in 1959 I was concerned about the 3/4"" mainline from the meter to the house and the 1/2"" piping in the crawl space under the house. I had heard the Repipe commercials on the radio for some time. After a while I made a request on their web site. It did not take long for them to contact me. An appointment was made. Todd came and went over the scope of what we wanted. New Pex mainline from the meter to the house without trenching, galvanized pipes replaced in the crawl space with New Pex Pipe and not to replace the copper pipe feeding into the added back addition of the house just connect to it.
Todd told us that we need to bring up our house to current building code by installing a pressure regulator on the main line entering into the crawl space, expansion tank on the water heater with earthquake straps on the water heater. He also recommended that the mainline be 1"" and the lateral lines feeding to all sinks, shower, toilet, and washing machine be 3/4. Because all the piping was in a 4' crawl space under the house there was no need to cut into any sheet rock and because we had some extensive remodeling a few years earlier and pex pipe was used to extend into the crawl space and connect to the galvanized pipe. Therefore all Repipe needed to do was to connect to the existing pex pipe.

Todd gave us a bid of a little over $7,100.00 that was after discounts for senior citizen, requesting bid over the internet and being a retired fireman.
He wanted us to schedule the work to be done within a few weeks. This was in March. I told Todd my wife and I wanted to talk about it before we committed. My wife and I agreed the bid seemed high. But I was impressed with pex pipe product and the fittings. I called Todd and agreed to have them do the work but we wanted to wait until the middle of September and was willing to put a $1,000.00 deposit. That gave us time to save for the rest.

September arrived we were contact by Repipe Subcontractor Tyler. A start date was scheduled for the 12th of September but did not get started until the 13th because of unforeseen illness of his crew. On the 13th the project was started.
Tyler was great to work with. We went over the original bid he felt the 1"" main line was to much for the size of our house and suggested 3/4"" mainline and 1/2 lateral lines and he would adjust the bid to reflect in the change of the size for the pipe, fittings and pressure regulator. The difference saved use about $80.00. They were able to complete all the connections in the crawl space on the 13th and 14th but were not able to get the main line from the meter to the house until the 18th.

On the 18th Tyler and crew arrived to install the mainline without trenching. A hole by the water meter was dug and another hole by the foundation was dug. A pneumatic device was placed in the hole by the water meter and worked its way to the hole by the foundation.

Tyler and crew always kept me informed what they were doing and if I had any questions he responded with respect for the question. He and his crew always respected our property inside and out.

When they were done Tyler went through and made sure all taps, showers, tubs and all other water sources were flowing water efficiently also that they cleaned up after themselves.

Overall I was pleased with what Repipe did. But I did conclude the price was somewhat excessive, took longer then expected and after a few days both my wife and I commended we felt the water pressure was lower then it was before. I put on a pressure gauge on an outside tap. The pressure was about 52 psi. I adjusted the pressure regulator up to about 70 psi and solved the pressure problem.

Would I recommend Repipe. Yes for the work that was done. No for the price and up selling.

We had a whole house of galvanized steel pipe. The water ran BROWN, so we had to do something.
We called around, got a couple quotes, and Repipe was comparable to regular plumbers... but Repipe, via Evergreen Plumbing & Restoration, uses Uponor Pex, which is Grade A stuff, and they give a Lifetime Warranty. Can't turn that down. They also gave a few extras, bringing our 1976 home up to modern code.
They walked us through the whole process, made sure we understood and had all our questions answered.
Very professional. Fast. Courteous.

Couldn't ask for a better experience. And the water now runs clear.

I got a quote and said, no thanks. This is why: Todd Pierce, the flashy salesman of Repipe Specialists is a nice person, but he is definitely a salesman. He has a very convincing sales pitch, and the company will take good care of you, but there are some problems.

I got four bids from various plumbers in SLC and Utah County. The bids were 1) $3,311, 2) 4,005, and 3) $4,830, where Repipe Specialist bid $7,852, and that included the 20% holiday discount since it's a slow time of year they say. Normal price for my house in the spring or summer would be $9,815 he said. So watch out...they'll get you if you're not careful.

I have done a lot of research, and contrary to what Repipe Specialists would have you believe:
1. Pex pipe ratings (A, B, & C) are not quality rating. They just each have a different manufacturing process. So they all will last 50-100 years. It doesn't matter which brand you get, as long as it is A or B. Don't get C. They each just have different characteristics. For example: A is slightly more flexible than B, but A has chemical leaching 50-200% higher than B, so they say it is not as healthy. A is more expensive than B, and so are the fittings. B is stiffer but bends well enough. B has more coil memory but will straighten with a little effort.
2. Repipe Specialists are using some plastic fittings, that most people say you should stay away from and use brass fittings. The expansion method is new but considered good and can only be done with type A pipe. The other two companies which bid lower, use crimp or cinch/pinch connection methods. And when done with a gauge, are effective. 99% of the plumbers in Utah use crimp or pinch connections.
3. It is clear that low-zinc brass fittings are the best to use. But just realize that most of the plumbing supply stores have gotten rid of their high zinc content brass fittings, so most everyone now uses low zinc fittings. Even the pressure regulator (PRV), that goes at the beginning of your new pex, where your main line comes in the house, is also low zinc now for everyone.
4. Most plumbing companies do not offer to bring in a drywall team to patch the drywall holes that are made during the repipe process. Repipe Specialist do offer that option, but in my 840 square foot home, they wanted to charge me $1,971, and that's with the holiday 20% discount. Drywall can be done by a sub-contractor for less than that for sure.
5. I can get the same Delta ""Pressure-Balancing"" tub and shower faucet which Repipe Specialist use for just $217. Todd told me it would cost me $300-$500. Wrong! He said they buy in bulk and pass the savings along to the customer which is why he was touting his $200 price. They are available all over the internet for this price, and even less expensive if you only need the shower portion and not the tub spout.
6. Everyone uses the 1/4 turn ball shut-off valves.
7. Repipe literature said that their ""installers are the only certified repipers in the industry."" False. First, they must mean Utah. Second, they must mean using Uponor brand products. And third, Told Plumbing out of Pleasant Grove are also Uponor certified installers, according to the Uponor website.
8. Repipe Specialist also quoted me to replace several things that don't need replacing. Like the braided stainless steel water supply tubings. He said they have to do it because they guarantee their work, and if you call them with a problem, they won't be able to prove the existing braided supply line they left was not theirs. You will think it is was their part and their fault.
Well, I think I've revealed enough now. You get the idea. Choose carefully. Repipe Specialists will do a good job, but you'll pay a hefty price. Don't let the fancy literature that they leave with you when you receive your bid trick you into paying twice as much.
I suggest that Repipe Specialist stop saying that they charge half of what most plumbers do in all their literature and verbally. In reality, they were twice as much money!
