When realizing we needed to have our house re-piped, our first thoughts were: We were very skeptical of having people in our home for a few days. Are they going to make a huge mess? Who are they?
We sat down with Jon, the sales person and began the process of a consultation. He was AMAZING! He totally put our minds at ease and thoroughly explained the process and answered our questions about materials as well as the questions above. We immediately chose Re-pipe Specialists.
The crew came in on the scheduled date promptly. They were very careful of mess making (they cleaned it all up spotless on a daily basis), as well as trying to do the job with minimal holes in the walls and ceilings. Passed inspection with flying colors and then followed up with a crew to repair said walls and ceiling. All together it took about 4 days to complete. They were VERY respectful, and helpful during this process. I'd highly recommend Re-pipe Specialists.

The best I can say is Repipe Specialists is adequate. Let's begin with the sales guy. A smooth professional who didn't explain the he was just that - a salesperson. See Repipe doesn't do the work. They are a clearing house for plumbers in the area. And the various reviews you see are an amalgam of several different plumbers. The company I got was great when they did the work. But not great at communicating. I took time off work for the job only to be told that I misunderstood (I didn't - I had a recording of the call) and the work was happening in the next month. It turns out Repipe takes a cut of the money but they don't actually do anything except bombard your email asking for reviews. True Blue Plumbing was quick and professional. The team that plumbed did the work in a day (including the house to street drilling)! The inspectors came quickly and the drywall was repaired, texted and painted (unexpectedly - I was told I would need to paint). You can't tell there was any work done. Except that my water is clear and clean and the hot water is hot in five seconds or less. Thanks for really great work!

They did a great job. I was a little more expensive than I had hoped. They do use quality material so hopefully that will be worth it. It took a little longer than planned to get everything finished. I now have to get an electrician to do the grounding. I had no idea this was going to be more time and expense as well. They told me it may be necessary but I had no idea it would be such a process. All said and done I would recommend them as they do god work and were great at working around my schedule.

When the estimator came to our house, I was very impressed with 2 things mainly, Jon Holman's knowledge and explanations. He was not only friendly, but explained everything exactly as it was going to be done (and was done).

The job was completed quickly and we had a bathroom available all during the job. I asked a lot of questions during the repipe and Justin (our installer) was very helpful and patient with us. I tended to ask a lot of questions and watched as the project progressed.

We never had to worry about any ""bait and switch"" deceptions. As far as I can see every single thing was completed according to our contract. And was done well. No additional charges!

The people doing the job were very friendly. They all answered my questions, even though they were all busy and working hard.

About my decision. I asked for bids from several plumbers (Including Repipe Specialists) and learned much along the way.

The highest bid wanted us to do much of the work and wanted to charge extra for an inspection and permit.

Another plumber asked to use our toilet before he left, then left the toilet badly plugged up.

One plumber drove by our house and sent us an estimate without even stopping to look inside the house.

The next plumber sub-contracted the job to another company, and the people from the subcontractor couldn't answer many of my questions - or even who the contractor was.

The estimates on our house ranged from $5600 to $10,000. Repipe Specialists came in between the lowest and highest bids. Most of the plumbers were more interested in getting their money than giving us a detailed estimate. Several gave written estimates that included their name, address, phone number and maybe a breakdown between the house re-piping and replacing the supply line to the house. I don't think they even specified the materials except they said that they would install PEX.

With Repipe Specialists and Justin - there is no competition in Vancouver, WA. The rest are laughable!

We have already referred Repipe Specialists to our friends and neighbors. I am planning on making copies of the 20% off coupon with a more detailed story of my experience to give out to my neighbors. At least I can say I warned them..... :-)

These guys are excellent. We have had leaky copper pipes and they repiped our whole house in one day. The estimator, Doug, was clear and courteous. Nic and his crew arrived promptly on the scheduled day and were thorough, careful and polite. The best part was a few days later the new recirculation pump they installed was still super noisy, they came back and replaced it no problem.

To be honest, I was very apprehensive about having Repipe do the ""re-pipe"" on my house. I had gotten one other estimate, and one partial estimate for the work, and had already done some major prep work ahead of time to try and save some money. But having done all of this - trenching my own service line, cutting (and patching) my own access, pulling insulation away from under the house etc, was all pointless when I could never get the plumber I was working with to even return my call, much less show up. I get it though, I was a pretty ""small"" job considering ROI for those guys, they aren't exactly hurting for work at the moment. But, it was to the point that I had to get this done, what with a giant lawsuit waiting to happen in the form of a deep trench in my front yard; right up to the sidewalk; and the many drafty holes in my walls. I had these guys figured one of two ways - 1) smash and vanish ala the money pit, or 2) wham bam slam it together and collect, so again, these guys were not my first choice (but should have been) but I was now desperate. Had I known then what I know now, I could have been done with this project months, yes months, ago and I could have saved myself a lot of pointless work and aggravation for what turns out in the end to have been not much of a savings in the grand total. That said, yes, they were a bit more expensive than the alternative I was initially pursuing, but what is the time and aggravation I put into this really worth, right? As it turns out, the crew that came out from True Blue were just terrific. They were fast, professional, personable, and worked around all of the obstacles I put in place trying to ""help"" them save me a few bucks. Another review wondered if they needed a full re-pipe as some of the pipe had already been changed out for copper. I also had some fairly new copper I had originally thought to re-use, but in my situation at least, the benefits of abandoning it, in terms of both installation and money, it just made more sense to abandon the newer copper, along with all the grotty iron pipe and run new pex. Which, by the way, these guys use only wirsbo which from what I learned researching this project is pretty much the only way to go if your using Pex. In the end, I am more than pleased with the work. I still think my very simple layout should have been a bit less money, but they use really quality materials, and did fantastic work, so, from a value standpoint, I have to say it was worth it. Especially since I can now get hot water to my kitchen sink faster than I can boil it, which previously was not the case! In closing, don't do what I did if your thinking about re-piping your house, the only investment in time and effort you should be making is to pick up the phone and call Repipe Specialists. They show up when they say, do the work they promise when they promise it, and do it well.

My estimator was very courteous and professional and gave me a quote on the spot. The subcontracted plumbing company, True Blue Plumbing was professional and followed up to correct a couple concerns I had. After my install, I saw the old pipes in the wall which were copper. At this point, I realized I didn't need a full repipe afterall.?I was told by a different plumber from a different company that since I had galvanized piping, I needed a repipe. No one ever verified this. And I don't know anything about plumbing. I was sold on a full repipe which was much more than just a repair of the problem would have been.

Repipe Specialists did an amazing job on our home! They were on time, did what they said they would, and the results are great. Very easy to work with, from sales to our contractors to payment. I'd recommend them to anyone that needs to have their pipes replaced in their home!

I was impressed with the professional work the team has conducted at our house. They completed the work in a timely manner and were very careful with the dry wall and the approach they used was such that the dry wall repair it is very easy and they didn't break any marble tiles in the bathrooms which was a great relief for us. I would use them any time I would need and also would recommend them to anyone.

We had a great experience with the sales person and the team that actually did the installation of the new pipe.

The capability of the new system was explained in detail, with physical samples of the products being used to replace our current metal pipes. The plumbers were excellent both in explaining what they were doing and ensuring that we had water available overnight as the house was a 2 day job (~2400SqFt). The day they finished the job, when hooking up the water heater, something went wrong with the heater itself. The plumber in charge had a new unit in his truck and replaced it with ours as it had been working before they started. I was very impressed with this crew and their work. When finished, the water coming out our pipes was clearer and cleaner than it had been in years, with much better pressure.

The ""Dry Wall"" contractor who came out to repair the openings told us he was not the usual person who did this. The usual person was unavailable, due to workload, etc... but the contractor who showed up for our job told us he ""Had many years experience at doing Dry Wall"". Long story short, I had to re-patch several of the patches prior to painting. There were noticeable issues with tape, mismatched or uneven gypsum, and texturing. Not major issues but really annoying, hence the 4.
