I asked for a quote to have my inflow water pipes replaced. They sent an elder gentleman with a cane to do the quote. He went outside looked at my outside faucets turned on the water and said my pipes were oxided and the flow was low. I didn't see a low flow. Then he came inside turned on the faucets said yes low flow.
He complimented my water heater.
He then proceeds to write the quote saying it was around 7,000.00 to replace the pipes. I said no that's too expensive. He then suddenly remembered they were having a sale so he then quoted around 5,000.00. Then at that point he asked me if I had asbestos under my house. I said no because we had our outflow pipes changed about 2.5 years before and they removed the asbestos from under the house. He said do you have proof because otherwise you'll have to pay for an inspection and removal. Wiich I felt was a hidden cost because he didn't disclose that until he thought about it. But he didn't know the cost of that.
Anyway I said no still too much. He then tried qualifying me for a loan at around 360.00 or so a month. Still too much for me, I'm on a fixed income. But doesn't matter I didn't qualify. He then asked me if I had credit cards to pay for it I said no.
He was disappointed.

When I called them I expected someone to crawl under my house and actually look at the pipes for corrosion or leaks and maybe some pictures not just arbitrarily turn on my faucets and say yes low flow.
Even after I told him no he proceeds to tell me the virtues of their pipes.
I again told him I wasn't interested and he finally left.
Would I recommend them short answer no just based on the salesman.

Horrible company to deal with. The person in charge running the show was clueless and not very knowledgeable of plumbing. If an issue arises, be ware they wash their hands. And make an excuse to make it not their problem. Highly steer clear of the company.... many reputable companies to pick from.

Cesar from Repipe Specialists came to my home and persuaded me that our home needed a complete repipe. That was the first of many lies. There was nothing wrong with the copper interior piping. The only pipes that needed to be replaced were the ones under the slab. The lies continued from there including:
-- They were experienced plumbers. They were not. They sub-contracted the entire job to plumbers from other companies. No employees from Repipe Specialists were present on the jobsite.
-- They would be neat cleaning up after themselves. Not true: They left piles of wet drywall dust. My wife and I spent hours cleaning.
--25 holes would be put in walls, but a drywall contractor would repair and make the walls ""paint ready"". Not true. The promised contractor put two coats of drywall coating on the walls. Ridges, grooves, and noticeable marks remain on the drywall. No texturing was provided. The contractor said that he does not make the walls and ceiling paint ready. We have to hire that out elsewhere. Estimates to make the walls paint ready will be several hundred dollars at least.
--Cesar promised to be hands on and always available for problem solving. He never answered our calls. No one answered at the main office. Once the contract was signed, we never saw or heard from Cesar again. He left one phone message that did not answer our concerns.
--Repipe Sp. told me a city inspector would be coming providing the day and time. When the inspector failed to show, I called the city and they said that Repipe Sp. had never made an appointment. I ended up making the appointment for the next day.
--I filled out a survey at the end of the job. It was highly critical of the company. No one from the company has made contact. They took my 11,000.00+ check and ran.
Needless to say, I cannot recommend this company.

Just had my home re-piped by Repipe Specialists and they did an excellent job of explaining the process and completing the job. The patch work and texturing were excellent. The re-piping was done in one day and the patching took one day. Highly recommend.

My tremendous anxiety about the process was unfounded. My neighborhood was experiencing a large number of pinhole leaks and copper pipe failures from cheap Chinese copper tubing that was used in the late 80s and early 90s. I decided to be proactive and get this done before a problem occurred. We received a quote from John O. and one other company. I liked John's professionalism and frankness about the process.

The first crew, the plumbers, showed up on time, walked me through the house, explained the process, and then got to work. Like ants at a picnic. They just swarmed the house and got to it. No screwing around. Taping, putting up plastic protection, protecting stairs and floors etc. It was a process but within an hour the cleverness began. Opening holes exactly where they needed them and replumbing the house quickly and efficiently. It was a bit overwhelming but rather interesting to watch. Shockingly, by 430pm the water was on and they were cleaning up. Wiping down the house and cleaning pretty thoroughly.

The second crew showed up a few days later after the first City inspection. Now this is where the anxiety was. I NEVER thought they would match the texture and truly believed I'd see patch holes and outlines of the holes (82 in total). This is an art form. I just finished painting, and no one can tell that these guys were even there. I am gob-smacked at how well they did. They don't sand so there is limited dust, and the texture is perfect. With super light sanding before painting, you cannot tell where the old texture ends and the new begins.

If you are contemplating this project, these are the guys. Great team. Great communication. Great job. Highly recommend. AND....the water, since it is not going through the foundation any longer, is hot at the showers 20 seconds faster. Yep...I timed it before and after. Less waste!

It was inevitable: 70-year old ranch-style house in Fullerton developed a slab leak. The only good news was that it was caught quickly before much damage seemed to have developed, but it wasn't that simple. The leak was between two rooms and damaged carpet and drywall and custom kitchen cabinets on opposite sides. It was obvious that a complete repipe was in my future. After talking with two plumbing companies and getting estimates, I found Repipe Specialists. Their estimate was about HALF of the other two and I was a bit worried about that but I found that a couple of my friends had good experience with Repipe Specialists before so I felt ok after that. When they showed up to do the job they were in and out in about 6 hours for the piping, and about the same for day 2 when they patched all the walls perfectly. I was super impressed with the care they took and the clever ways they solved some tricky access to the existing faucets, showers and fixtures. All in all, I was relieved that everything they promised came to fruition as they said. I heartily recommend.

I needed my entire house re-piped due to mulitple leaks over time. Ross, the sales manager was excellent in how he presented the various materials, process, and cost, and also how quickly he was able to schedule the job. I have a 2 story house, and on the 1st day, a crew came over and covered , moved heavy items, cut the drywall, and installed the pipes. The 2nd day, another crew came over and very professionally replaced the drywall and seamlessly textured all areas. I highly recommend Repipe Specialists, as they exceeded my expectations.

I contacted Repipe after we had a slab leak. We had three proposals- Repipe was the best value. The project manager called, we setup a time for appointment, he was right on time very professional very courteous. He explained the process for repiping with PEX. We agreed to the price, his crew arrived the next day on time. They had the entire house re- piped by 5 pm. We had water. The next day the team arrived to patch all the holes, then the third day the drywall team came to mud the patches. We were very pleased with the quality of work the crew were all very professional and courteous. I definitely recommend Repipe. Job well done
