On Tuesday, March 19, 2024, I had the opportunity to meet with Mr. Charles Gilbert as he performed an initial walk-through of my hardwood flooring restoration project. He explained the pros and cons, taking into consideration that another company had recently repaired my dining room floor using a different product.

Given the current condition of my hardwood flooring, which was cloudy, no luster, and unattractive, I considered my options and chose to move forward with this company. Mr. Gilbert decided to contact another gentleman to complete the restoration project as the initial gentleman had a family emergency, and he did not want a prolonged delay. I read the quote, agreed to the cost, and Charles scheduled a date. There were no delays in beginning the project other than questions that I had about the final process. Charles responded to all my questions to my satisfaction.

Mr. Gilbert along with Mr. Juan Diego (Pro), assured me they would do everything possible to bring my hardwood flooring back to ""life"" and give it the final sheen that I desired.

The day of the restoration project, Charles sent Mr. Keith Harris and Mr. Bradley Wright early to move four large pieces of furniture from my dining room. From the beginning to the end, these guys were punctual, neat in appearance, and introduced themselves in a respectful manner. I was impressed with how they protected not only my flooring, but they paid special attention to the handling of all my furniture, especially a grandfather clock that my father had given to me years ago.

By early afternoon, Diego and Charles came to my home at the agreed upon time to begin the hardwood restoration. Charles allayed all my fears about the project outcome and proceeded to ask me if I had any additional questions or concerns; I did not.

Diego discussed the restoration process, and he did not seem to mind me asking him questions as he proceeded to sand the dining room floor. I found Diego to be personable, and it was evident that he knew his craft well. He stated that ""The company stood behind their work.""

Every customer wants to feel like their project is special, and the company completing the work will do the best job. Before the day was over, Charles checked in to make sure all was well. The floor was all but dry, but I wanted to make sure, so I decided not to have any furniture moved back into place for at least another full day. Charles supported my thoughts even though he assured me that there was no need to wait. He stated, ""The customer needs to be happy.""  And his agreeing to give me another day provided me with contentment!

I am most satisfied with the outcome of my hardwood flooring restoration. I would recommend this company and the crew that worked at my home without reservation. These guys were neat in appearance, respectful, hardworking, and everyone involved with this project showed up invested to complete an excellent job with professionalism. Those qualities are difficult to find these days. Thank you.

My plans are to use Repairs and Remodels On Demand for another house project.

A+++. Over the last three years we have turned to Charles and Repairs & Remodels on Demand for a multitude of projects on homes in Imperial Beach and Sunset Cliffs. Those have included full & partial bathroom remodeling, reflooring, recarpeting, extensive fence replacement, deck structural-reinforcement, retaining wall construction, rain gutter replacement, and other stuff inside and out. R&R On Demand did a great job resolving some water damage & repairs in a rental unit of mine. They managed all the remediation work & testing done by ServoPro and then repaired the kitchen cabinets and floor quickly when the remediation was complete. Additionally, they worked well with the tenants to make sure they were inconvenienced as little as possible and were satisfied with the repairs. The project turned out to be much bigger than originally expected and R&R On Demand was up to the task.

We had a number of repair and upgrade projects to do in our house and started searching for a contractor in March. We received bids from three different companies, but none of them followed through with a contract. Finally, in July, we received a recommendation for Remodels and Repairs On Demand and they turned out to be outstanding. Charles provided a detailed bid and was very flexible when we requested a couple of changes, even after the work had started. They stayed on schedule and kept us informed with each step of the process.

Our project included knocking out an interior wall in a bedroom to reconfigure the closet and install new mirrored sliding doors. In the bathroom, they resealed the shower pan, replaced some ceramic tiles in the shower, replaced some grouting, installed drywall and a can light, relocated electrical switches, prepped walls for painting and painted the work area. They also repaired some exterior window frames that had extensive damage due to dry rot.

Charles and his workers from Repairs and Remodels On Demand were honest, polite, punctual, very well organized, easy to work with and finished the job on time. We are very pleased with their work and would highly recommend this company to others.

We completed a remodel of (4) bathrooms, flooring and our banister. The contractors did an excellent job. They stayed on schedule with everything they could control. They completed touch ups as needed, and were eager to please our request. We were especially impressed with Charles Gilbert, the contract representative who maintained in constant communication with us including weekends and evenings as needed. He was very involved and did not hesitate to personally ensure work being completed was in line with the company's expectations. His proactive oversight meant we did not have to point out to many things as the work progressed. We never felt like we were getting the run around. Charles made us feel important even though he also had other projects going on at other residents. We never had an email or call go unanswered at any time. I would gladly recommend this Company and Charles Gilbert to any of our friends or family.
