Refused to go up in attic and complained it was too hot, 75 degrees outside. I know it would be lots hotter up there but a diagnostic would not take long. I scheduled the next day~no show. I called and they said I had not scheduled.repair. they wasted my time. Find someone who is honest and who is not afraid to work.

Our furnace wasn't working properly so we scheduled a service call. The technician was pleasant, but needed to order a part before fixing the problem. He never returned, so I ordered the part from Amazon (after waiting for 3 weeks) and replaced it myself. It didn't solve the problem. And they still charged me $120 - for nothing. Not a bad business plan - come out and talk for about an hour, fix nothing and charge $120. You could make a decent living doing that...
I finally called a competitor two days ago. They immediately came out and fixed the problem for $69.
Don't bother with Rentmeister!

Kevin and Sam were excellent! I had multiple repairs that needed to be made. Leaky sinks, broken faucet, and toilet that was not functioning properly. They completed all seamlessly in a prompt courteous fashion. Everything is working excellent. I highly recommend their services.

We built our home, which was completed in December 2019. By the winter of 2020 we were having HVAC issues, and had at least 6 visits from techs, all of which were nice and helpful. We had drain pipes reworked, the circuit board replaced, a new blower installed, among other things, and when we continued to have problems late into 2020, the techs continued to tell us to change the filters often and use the thicker filters that our unit was designed for, all of which we did. However, as you might assume, the issues persisted. The unit would end up blowing all day, but not produce hot air and our thermostat app would show 21 hours of furnace running, as opposed to the 3-4 hours we would typically see when the furnace was operating well. The most recent time this happened we called, as we had in the past, and the technician that showed up was obviously not happy to be here, wasn't interested in hearing anything from us related to what had been happened or what the previous techs had said, and immediately came up from our utility room to tell me the problem was that our filter was dirty. I knew this to be false because this was a month-old filter that had been recommended by the previous tech and were graded for 4-6 months of use. This tech didn't want to listen to me about that, and after again trying to explain that to him only to have him disregard my point and talk to me like I was an idiot, I lost my cool and told the tech that this was bull$#!% and to call his manager now. He began to pout and told us he was leaving, which was fine, but we immediately called and I asked to be forwarded directly to the Manager/owner, which I was, and then went through the same conversation with, but at a much more heated level than previously. The owner assured me he'd log whatever ticket was necessary and get back to us. The next day Rentmeister called my wife and told us they'd be sending out a tech to replace our furnace, which happened, and we appreciate that, but likely should have been done long before it happened. I again called the owner to tell him thank you, and also apologize for being so upset, but that he could hopefully understand, but rather than accept or even feign at understanding he complained that he had to eat the cost of the replacement because the manufacturer wouldn't cover it due to ""improper maintenance"" (again, we were thankful just to have it finally be addressed) and also wanted to instruct me on how to be respectful, essentially asserting that this was our fault and that we were lucky to have it resolved by him. I can assure you that the only improper maintenance would have been done by the Rentmeister team, as I have replaced the filter, even changed the ones I used based on their recommendation, regularly, and have replaced them even more frequently since these issues began. Had this last conversation with the owner not taken place, or if the owner would have shown any semblance of understanding, I would not likely be submitting this review, but once I had a minute to think about the entirety of this ordeal, and especially this final chapter, I think it should be shared with any that are considering this company, or worse, those who unfortunately happen to be stuck with them based on their builder's subcontractor relationships, like we were.

Pretty horrible service. This was the company assigned by the home warranty company. Got a text a week ago saying they would text when on their way in the 5 hour service window. Took the day off to wait for them. Text never came, neither did any technician. Tried to call the office and of course they were closed without a non emergency option.

Seriously lacking in customer service skills. They assume they know a solution to a problem without listening to the customer. Wasted time and energy which wouldn't be necessary if they took the time to listen to what the customer has to say first. They also left a mess in the home for me to clean up.

I had these guys replace my furnace. However, it's now been 3 days and I'm still without heat and hot water. Did not show up on time, on any of the 3 days then had all kinds of excuses why the work wasn't finished (training a technician, faulty work done the first day, etc.) We have tried to be understanding, but, now that it's over 3 days and still not finished, I'm more than frustrated. Terrible, terrible, terrible!!

Kevin Thompson and another plumber, and I'm sorry i did not get his name from Rentmeister Total Home Service just installed a water softener in our home. I would recommend this company for any services they provide. Great customer service very knowledgable and they did great work. Very pleased with the service that we received. I will use them again for sure.
