In November 2024, we had Reliant Plumbing do some work on our oven. That went well. At that time we decided to replace our hot water heater. Along with that, the service person said we have a new pump that goes on the water heater where you will always have continuous hot water. What a great thing to have we thought. By the way after we paid for it we were disappointed because the water still has to run a while before you get hot water! We were doing that before! Well it cost 1700.00 to buy it and put it in. We said yes and they installed it November 2024. February 2025 it stopped working! We called them. The service man came out and said it was broken! Okay, it should be under warranty. They said it has no warranty! We asked to have it replaced or taken off and money back. So the young repair man called Evan his manager and he came back into the house and said "Evan said we could only give you 250.00 back and we take the part back! We couldn't believe it. We know he wants the part back so they can get their money from the manufacturer and we are left out of 1700.00 We asked to speak to him but he never called. So we called the company and were told they will call us back today. Every day I called and was told the same thing and no one ever called. We will never use Reliant again and hopefully if you do you will have better luck than we did.

I had a clogged toilet and reached out this morning. Less than an hour later I got a phone call to schedule for this afternoon. Daniel Gonzales came early, gave me a quote that was very reasonable, fixed the issue quickly and even gave my water heater a look over free of charge. I would definitely use them again!

This company blatantly tries to overcharge. Yesterday a plumber from their company wanted to charge me $3550 plus tax for a job to replace an easily accessible water pressure tank and then tried to upsell me a new type of system for $4,200 before tax that didn't interest me at all. (That's a whole other story) When I looked up the price of the part it was around $400. I thought his price was ridiculous and told him so and then he tried to tell me the going rate for plumbers was around $1,000/hour, which also seemed ridiculous. Today I had the job completed in about a half hour with a tank about 150% larger for a price of $1,600.

I wish I could leave 0 stars. The past 6 months have been a complete disaster as I've dealt with a leak Reliant has NOT solved and continued to send different people with zero context every time, checking for the same things, asking the same questions, and coming unprepared for how to solve for problem at hand. I'm ashamed there is an Austin business this terrible with equally bad customer service. I have to say a couple of the guys that came did try their best with the information they had. This message is for the owner/ manager who by now should've reached out given my constant complaints. They cut through the drywall behind my oven and left a mess, never clean up after they leave, and there is little to no communication on when they're showing up. They even had one person show up for a two man job so I volunteered to step in and take video while he tested the neighbors faucet. We then had to wait an hour and a half for someone else to come to climb the ladder and take more video of the ceiling. James who was just here has been one of the most helpful.

Unfortunately I'm stuck with them as my leak is being handled by my HOA, otherwise I would've gone with Radiant as they seem way more prepared to handle something like this.

Reliant Plumbing= SCAM. If I could give negative stars I would. We have been trying to get a call back for over a week now. Here is what happened: We had a gurgling toilet downstairs so we called them and they said we had tree roots that had broken a pipe (this is the second time they have told us this by the way- to the tune of thousands of dollars last time, ~2 years ago). I'm not saying we didn't - but I will say both times it's been a catastrophic diagnosis. Coincidental? Not sure. In any case, we starting talking price. This is when it turned into a used car negotiation. They quoted us $10.2K - we said we would get a second opinion and suddenly, the price dropped to $9K IF we didn't get a second opinion and if we agreed to it right then. They also tried to find out who we were calling -- the supervisor told us he had worked at Abacus and Radiant... classic used car tactics - talk smack about competition. We asked for a couple of hours to discuss it and the "supervisor" had to go outside and call the owner who ultimately told us no, the deal was now or never. So, with Christmas 5 days away, we agreed, as they said their contractors could work over the weekend. Once we signed, suddenly they could not get the same workers because we had negotiated a lower price so they would not start until Monday Dec 23. Now, this is what we have been looking at since then. They said they ran into a lot of rock and suddenly it would be $15K. We said that is not what we agreed to and we needed to talk to the supervisor. We have tried to call 5+ times over the past 1.5 weeks and NO phone call back, radio silence. The receptionist even said, "yes we have logged several calls from you, I will make sure you get a call back"- and still so far, we are stonewalled. So now we have a gaping hole 3' deep under our foundation on the coldest day of the year with exposed pipe and a dead yard. Reliant Plumbing is closer to a used car scam than a legitimate plumber. I can tell you what, we will NEVER use them again and I encourage every neighbor in Steiner Ranch and Austin to reconsider giving them your business. We filed a complaint with the state board and with BBB.

The entire crew of Reliant were incredible to work with. Roman was the best plumber I have ever had to deal with. Exceptional work, very professional, very knowledgeable, hard working, cordial, I could go on and on but bottom line is I highly recommend him. His partner Mitchell was also awesome. Thank you Roman and Mitchell.
Oh yeah, and they worked all day on Xmas Eve!

Out of the blue my kitchen sinks stopped draining. Of course I wanted perfect repairs/installtion, etc. here comes Jose (excellence is in his blood) with RELIANT Plumbing. I have always called Reliant when I have plumbing issues. They never, ever disappoint. Jose's face needs to be on every poster, billboard and TV ad!
He had to rework the entire system as well as install a new garbage disposal. This sink set up has given me nothing but headaches for 16+ years.
That Jose was perfection through and through. In a pretty short time he had the entire kitchen put back together. Thanks, Jose!!!

Thieves!!! They will rob you blind. They quoted $6000 for a PVR!!!! Insanity. They take advantage of their customers and exploit people. They will not provide a breakdown of costs for the job.

I've got six holes in my walls from your expert plumbing and latest industry leak detection techniques.

And if consumers have an issue with your experts, reaching a manager is impossible. Last week I waited three days for a return call and had to say I'd come to their location to get a call.

There is no communication, not honestly at least. A consumer shouldn't have to verify weeks after a job is done that an inspection has just been paid for through the city after you've made a follow up call that same day.

And real experts would know this a French drain is not meant to be buried when the plumbing trench is approved to be covered. But guess what, we again can't reach a manager.

So 7k job, six unnecessary "exploratory" holes in my wall that a manager acknowledges was too much and requires almost 2k to make right again, and a buried French drain and no manager can be reached.

And did I mention I work from home and they cut my internet wire.

Not convinced. I should've done my research better. They have great reviews but that must've been a different plumbing team.

Currently waiting on someone to return our call about unburying our French drain. This week we've been waiting two days.

If you are looking for a plumber, that will do a terrible job, price gouge you, talk you into products that you don't need or want...then this is the company for you!

The handheld in my master shower was not working. Ray came to my house from Reliant Plumbing and told me that he needed to cut a hole in the drywall or in the tile of the shower in order to fix my problem. Ray did zero troubleshooting to find the cause of my plumbing problem. All he wanted to do was cut a hole in my wall. Then Ray proceeded to tell me that I needed a water softener system on my entire house. He also told me that I needed two of those systems and gave me a price of $21,000.

After this terrible experience, I called a smaller plumbing company. The plumber came out, looked at my handheld in my primary bathroom shower. He realized that the hose going to the handheld was clogged. He unclogged the hose and solved my problem and charged me $75 .
