Reliable Sewer & Drain owned by Nicholas Roland Villar, 949-315-5987, see my first ever Facebook post, and yes this is my first yelp. In two days I've watched and read every "how to" on Pex. I was given a 10 yr warranty on my $5600 repair to re-route my cold water to my bathrooms because I burst pipe under my slab. Pex by all intents and purposes isn't the problem, It was their failure to install correctly. Pex instructions clearly state that all pipe in an unconditioned environment that can freeze (32F) such as a crawl space, basement, or attic, should be insulated. Well I'm on my fourth day of frozen pipes since 1/13/24. No water, no shower, no flushing, a 4 and 7 yr old girls, 3 adults. When I called Monday, did not yell, did not curse, did not threaten. Ryan and Curtis performed my repair last May. Was told only the outside needed to be insulated. After struggling to use a blow dryer to warm the copper manifold, openly exposed, In the attic, I noticed they routed the main line over my ducting pulling it down on my blower unit. Pinching the duct In 2 places. When it's warm enough to thaw tomorrow, Nick Villar had every opportunity to mitigate what is to come. Either way, I will be following up with all my post. I hope I do not have a leak, but it seems I'll have degraded pipes for the next freeze. Apparently with no insulation either. I'll be hiring a better company, sending Un-Reliable Sewer the bill, then filing suit for the return of my cost and the paper warranty. Robert

I had a leak in my upstairs tub drain and was told that it would be a $129 to rip open the ceiling drywall to inspect. They mentioned that it would mostly be a loose threading or dried plumber's putty and wouldn't charge extra for such a small fix. I was then told that the P-trap is damaged at the cost of fixing it would be additional $480 (after adjusting the $129). They mentioned that it would take a 2+ hour labor and the parts were expensive (something called a P-Trap needs to be replaced). I believed them and went ahead. All they did was replace a PVC pipe piece and the drain plug and the job was done in less than 30 mins. They came back a couple of times to flip the drain plug as they messed up on the right color (was supposed to be oil rubbed bronze and they got chrome).

I don't like people who manipulate you this way and would advise to stay away.

I was quoted $99 for their special drain cleaning, however was charged $129. When I inquired on the difference, I was told they'd get back to me. Two weeks later when I hadn't heard back, I asked again and was told $99 was for an accessible drain, but since the tech had to remove two screws for the shower drain it was $30 extra. $30 to remove two screws.... I would have gladly removed them myself. Bottom line don't trust what you are quoted.

I hired Reliable Sewer and Drain to install a new tankless hot water heater in my attic and to remove the 2 existing HW heaters from 2 separate closets. In the process of doing this, they damaged three areas of my ceiling as you can see in the pictures below when moving the hot water line part of the line was not fully drained so they caused a leak in one of my small hallways. They also either stepped through the beams or knocked it with a 2 x 4 perhaps in the attic area next to the hot water heater that they were installing. This caused the two cracks thar you see in the pictures below: one in my master bedroom and one in the hall bathroom. I am immediately noticed the water leak and I cleaned that up and let them know. It wasn't until a little later when it dried that I noticed the staining in the ceiling. I reported these issues to reliable sewer and draining and they came out to attempt to paint the ceiling. However, they did not do it correctly and the result is the picture shown below, where there is now a white halo around the staining from where they tried to paint the patch. For the other items, they asked me to get a handyman to repair it because they didn't want to pay a lot of money for a painter. However, my concern is that simply patching the small area will allow you to still see it since even though it's white paint, it will not match exactly; these are high visible areas. I asked them for their insurance information so that I could file a claim in lieu of them paying out-of-pocket. After they provided me the information I filed a claim, but it took months before I could get any results from the insurance company. They ended up denying the claim stating that the contractor has denied responsibility! I quickly followed up with reliable sewer, but I have not heard back from them. My thought was that they were perhaps going to try to settle outside of insurance because of their deductible. Since I have not heard from them yet and it's been almost 3 months since the damage occurred, I'm going to have to take them to court to settle the damages. Very frustrating over something that they could have simply taken care of.

We used Reliable for two different jobs at our home recently. They were excellent. To begin with they came out immediately and gave me a quote on both jobs that was reasonable They were honest. We had a couple of quotes.
On the first job we had a leak behind our washer and they said they would need to cut the drywall and replace the box. On the day of the repair, the technician said he was going to see if he could fix it without cutting my drywall. He worked on it for what seemed about an hour before he finally came and said he was sorry but would have to replace the box anyway.
The second job was replacing a bathtub faucet that the lines underneath had become corroded. The cold water only trickled. They did an excellent job all around. We had one technician. He was very respectful. Arrived when he said, and did the jobs in a timely manner.

Unbelievable that this company didn't get a city permit, didn't install pipe's correctly, didn't have a company to repair the damage to my stucco, installed a dryer in my garage under circuit breaker boxes with no vent .. and

We asked Reliable Sewer to come out to clean out a kitchen drain and 2 bathtub drains. They said they cleaned the drains and I paid them $300. The next day 2 of the drains were clogged again. When I called them they tried to upsell me for another $600 special clean out. I finally got them to come out again, but it was a week later. During this time the kitchen sink and the upstairs bathroom remained clogged. They said they had cleaned the wrong bathtub upstairs and it would be another $100 to clean out the bathtub. Another $100 and they could clean the sink again. They apparently have No Guarantee on their work, not even for a day! I have dealt with others but they guarantee their work for 6 months. Never us this company, they will charge you a low rate to come out, but that is just the beginning. If you want it done right you will need to pay more.

We had an issue with our toilet and shower draining properly. I had Reliable come to give me an estimate. They said for $99 they would clear my line and run a camera to show the blockage.

They had to remove the toilet ($200) to run the snake. They did NOT do what they said. They did not run the camera to find the blockage. They said they had to hydro flush ($600) the line.

They said I had additional repairs. I paid $1300 for the work that was supposed to be $99. My toilet leaks now. My line is not clear. The blockage is still there. It works for now but is not fixed.

Oh, my wife's wedding ring was stolen by one of the techs. BEWARE of the company.

The owner said my wife probably just lost it and told me I needed Jesus to help with my trust issues.

I asked for a refund or a large discount because they lied to me and misled me. My toilet is not fixed and my line is still blocked by whatever was blocking it before they came.

They are terrible. Do not use them. Ever.

I had requested the plumber while doing a service call to ck a drain in another bathroom and provide an estimate. I had to call 3 more times to follow up, then I had to call an unbelievable 4 th time...I would NOT recommend this company at ALL unless you enjoy overpromises and literally NO follow thru. I'd give them a -10 rating. I noticed Jane D. Gave them a poor rating too.

I reached out to this business for one of my rental properties snake washer line simple job. The person that answered the company's inquiries and messages was on the rude and unreasonable side. I advised them I didn't live on the property so wanted to pay via (modern mode of payment such as Zelle, Cash App, Paypal, Credit Card over the phone type of method). They only accept cash on site or checks (talk about stone ages) (who does that these days with COVID and all). The only other option offered to me was for me to PRE-PAY for the service before they get there. Why would someone pre-pay before service is rendered? That doesn't make business sense. I didn't mind paying via credit card once the technician is complete with the job and I could verify the problem is fixed, but they wanted funds before that step. This seems like a huge RED flag, run don't walk find another business that is ethical, these business practices seems like a rip-off waiting to happen.
