Okay, I'll try to make a long story short.

Several years ago we had a really bad drain block on a cold and rainy holiday weekend night. Lee came out and, with wind whipping and rain hammering, got on our roof and snaked the main drain of our house and solved our problem... and didn't rip us off.

Flash forward to today. Because Lee had done some other stuff for us, we actually forgot that rooting was one of his businesses. so, when our tub was barely draining, we called a company that had an ""All drains, one price"" deal in one of the coupon mailers that come to the house. The guy from the other company ""tried"" to open our drain, then explained that to do it he would have to... blah, blah, blah; $1761.00!!! But he also wanted to charge us $300 just to remove the little drain cover in tub so we could change it, which is when my rip off alarms went off.

This SOB stood in my house and lied to my face (look for my review on that company's page - I don't want to mention names on Lee's). As you've probably surmised, Lee and Marco (I hope I have that right; he's great, too), came out moments after I called and fixed the problem for the price of his standard home visit.

I also have a story about him standing by his installation of my water heater when I thought I had a problem (I didn't).

My wife and I ran a business honestly for two decades and during that time we rarely saw businesses that shared our ethics. But Lee is something that has become all too rare in the world today; an honest man. He's also a really good plumber!

Lee and his crew did a great job (they used thick copper pipes, had 3 jack-hammers going to save time, and the new asphalt looked great too).

Lee is very knowledgable. I explained the issue we were having with an upstairs toilet. He was kind enough to suggest what it could be and that I could fix it myself but since there we a few other toilets in the house one with valve issue and a seal problem in another I decided to have them come out anyway and fix them. He sent his guy Marlo. He was on time, knew what he needed to do to fix everything and their prices are reasonable for the job. I will definitely use them again next time I need plumbing fixed.

Well here is an update: six months after Lee and Marlin snaked my sewer line and cut out the tree roots they grew back. Lee had told me this was likely given the age of the pipes (25 years), but I had hoped to avoid the cost of trenching and replacing the pipe. But we had another sewer back-up so I called Reliable Rooter again.

Lee and Marlin arrived within 2 hours of my 7am call on Tuesday and ran a camera down the line. It showed the roots were back at the same spot - about 35ft in. They used their sensor to locate the blockage from above ground and this time Lee suggested I have the affected area trenched and replaced. He quoted me a very good price for the job and said they could do it Thursday or Friday.

The next morning I get a call from Lee with a question about the job and says he'll be there in an hour! Sure enough, next thing I know Lee and Marlin and ""El Topo"" (the mole) show up and start digging. By 2pm they were done, having dug about 8 feet down and three feet under my driveway (not breaking the pavement) and replacing three feet of pipe and the flex joint, and also replacing the clean-out access.

The pipe had been completely filled by the tree roots growing back and I'm amazed we didn't have a huge flood in my house from this. But the crew from Reliable Rooter got the job done fast, cleaned everything up after and just performed as true professionals. These are my go-to guys for all my plumbing needs now, they provide great service, fast appointments and many, many years of experience with these problems. The price was absolutely reasonable and I couldn't be more pleased with the entire experience. Lee took my Visa credit card which made it easy to pay (he doesn't take American Express) and now the pipe should be good for another 20-25 years. I like these guys and they do a great job.
