Reliable Pipes has been a fantastic find for us, they were referred to us by a neighbor and we used them when our boiler decided to quit working on the COLDEST night of the fall so far! Roy was great, even though he had full schedule, he made an appearance at our house to diagnose the problem with the boiler, giving us an on the spot idea of the issue, cost and repair options to get the heat back on. He was informative, friendly and polite. He did an excellent job fixing our boiler issue and giving us back some much needed heat in the house! For small jobs or big jobs, I would highly recommend Roy Oller & Eric Powers at Reliable Pipes for all your plumbing needs!

Eric and Roy live up to their company's name! I would highly recommend them for any job, big or small! They are both perfectionists and excel at what they do! I was introduced to Reliable Pipes in 2009 by a General Contractor who was doing a bathroom remodel for us. Once that job was complete, I have had at least 5 plumbing ""projects"" - everything from clogged bathroom & kitchen drains to replacing toilets & faucets and would not think of using anyone besides Roy & Eric.

They were very knowledgable about fixtures when the project needed that and helped us find components that met our budget. After ordering parts, they showed up promptly to install them (I don't have the time or patience to deal with guys that you need to keep after to finish the job). We have NEVER had to call them back to fix something that they have done.

If you are looking for dependable straight-shooters who show up on time and do a great job at a fair price, Reliable Pipes are for you. When they do it, you know it is done right.

When I came across these negative reviews of Reliable Pipes I didn't think it could be the same company these people were talking about! Roy and Eric have been amazing to work with. They are respectful, reliable and most importantly their work is FLAWLESS. They take pride in their work and it shows.

We began a relationship with Eric and Roy in 2008 when we purchased then did a complete remodel of our home in Newton including a major expansion. I say relationship because they have always been here for us whenever needed. We look at three things in a contractor: 1)quality 2) cost 3) reliability These guys win on all three counts. While I was out of town and needed a second meter installation, I did a search to get their phone number and saw these two negative reviews and was stunned. Could this be the same Reliable Pipes? They did come in, estimated the job, and guess what? IT was half the price of a competitor in town. Reading the reviews again I had to smile. I DO want a plumber to see my home before estimating how else can I be sure they are giving me the right quote? Even the SAME plumbers who originally did the install cannot be expected to guarantee the scale of the job. Also, I think the reviewers are confused between a smirk and a smile. I wish all my contractors were as good, as cost-effective, and as personable as Eric and Roy. It is a shame that only those who have negative things to say write reviews.

Being a landlord is difficult enough, especially when you don't live in the same town as your investment. Fortunately for me, I was still able to get great service during a difficult no heat time in a unit. Are they the least expensive- no. Do they communicate well, get the job done as promised and on time, and do they go the extra mile to make sure all is well after the job- absolutely. Efficient, professional, dependable, all the things anyone looks for in a plumber or home service person. Call around and get someone cheap if you want, but after years in the real estate business, I can attest that the cheap guy never gets the job done correctly, and heartache always follows- if they show up at all, that is. By the way, on my boiler replacement, they were right between my regular plumber and another local plumber for pricing, so was not ripped off at all.

We had the same experience as the person above. They don't estimate how much its going to be. It makes you feel like they just wanted to see how big your house is before dropping the number on you. Once he quoted the job we felt like we just needed to go with it or wait a few more days for another plumber. After speaking with a second plumber afterwards the bill would have been almost half. I asked Eric for an itemized bill but only got what he did with no price associated with it and a smirky comment.

BEWARE! These guys really take advantage of unsuspecting housewives - BEWARE! They charged me twice as much as they should have to do the job in my house! Although they ran the quote by me before they started and I questioned how high it seemed, they knew I was unable to reach my husband to verify the price since he was in an important meeting. When my husband called them later to ask why they charge so much, Roy was simply SMUG. These guys do not charge by the hour, but rather by ""the job"". They over-estimate like crazy - find someone else!
