Too bad I can't give this company zero stars, because it deserves it. A few weeks ago, I had a plumbing issue and shared this info with my sister. Since she's a member of Angie's List, she volunteered to look me up a few reliable plumbers in the area. The first name she gave me was Mr. Jackson from Reliable Home Improvements. I called him on a Monday and spoke to him about possible resolutions to my plumbing issue. We decided that Thursday morning between 9-9:30am would be the perfect time for him to stop by and inspect my issue.

I remember that I specifically asked him if I needed to call him back to confirm my appointment with him later that day. He said, ""no, I have you on my calendar, but if their is a problem, I will call you back."" I thanked him and told him I'll see him Thursday. Well, Thursday rolls around and I didn't hear from, nor did I see Mr. Jackson. Extremely unprofessional! I worked from home that day, so thank God I didn't have to take off, but it was still an inconvenience.

Why on earth is it so hard to find honest, competent and reliable plumbers? This is a give and take situation. I pay for a service, you fix the problem...plain and simple. I wasn't asking to fix the problem for free, I was a paying customer! Moreover, if he wasn't available, a simple call to reschedule would've been the proper thing to do. Two weeks to the day and I still haven't heard back from this company. Horrible customer service!

Take it from me and don't even bother contacting this company. My sister suggested that I call him back, but I refused because it's plenty of plumbers in the area that are willing and able to assist me. I found one too, he fixed my issue lickety split and was very professional! One and DONE!

Excellent work. Installed 2 ceiling fans and New sink faucet. Timely and efficient. Electrician was great. Left house neat. Appointment was on-time. Will definitely use them again.

This review is based solely on customer service. I called to get a quote on a bathroom sink install and was quoted a price that I was told was subject to change. That's fine with me. At this point I offered to send pictures of the job so he would feel more comfortable with the quote being offered. He was friendly on the phone, but when I texted the pictures of the job and asked about using the coupon offered on Yelp, he never responded. That was 2 days ago. Professionalism and customer response goes a long way.

Our garbage disposal of less than one year went on the fritz. I was pleased Reliable replaced it and dealt with the warranty on their own. The manufacturer Badger did not appear to make that process easy. Still had to pay $375 to cover labor and snaking the drain however.

This company started off right the owner appeared to know about home repairs and seem to be honest. His son came to fix items the first time and everything went well. I called the father again and he sent his son out another time and that's when the problem began. The son came to the home and did not clean up after himself and tried to overcharge me for items that I was already given an amount from the owner. I was told that an item in my home needed to be repaired, but after hiring someone else to check out the problem I found out all the item needed was to be plugged in to the outlet. I was given a quote of between $800 and $900 to fix that problem boy am I glad I got a second opinion. I did take the time to send the owner of the company an email pertaining to the matter, but never received a response. What ashame because I thought I had found a reliable and honest company.

We had a pipe burst and needed a plumber right away! Mr. Jackson called us back and we were lucky to get an afternoon appointment. I should mention we had been living on our house 5 days before this happened. Not only did he find the leak, repair the leak, explained what happened and addressed it so it won't happen again. We also figured we'd ask all of our current plumbing questions which he happily answered and had him do work on our sump pump. Going with Reliable Home Improvement worked out well for us and it's good to know we have good, honest and fair plumber we can in the future!

I left a message, he never called me back. I found this odd as waited several days for a call back since I stayed over a friend's house. Who doesn't call back?

Update: Called me back a week later, said he was on vacation. That's cool and all, but could you leave a message on your voice mail stating as much since you also use this phone for business? How am I supposed to know that?

Mike is a very professional, courteous, detailed, and wonderful contractor. His company located and repaired a leak that other folks could not find, repaired drywall, fixed toilet and bathroom issues, and installed pretty handrails. Much like the previous reviewer, we utilized Reliable Home Improvement for our initial home repairs after we moved into our home. His pricing is fair and he is very interested in doing the best job possible. Thanks to Mike for being an awesome person to work with!

After get charged top dollar rates, by a big name plumber outfit, for a partially trained plumber who performed sub-par work very inefficiently (i.e., expensively) I, ""discovered,"" Mike and Ray some years ago.

Now they are our plumbers of choice.

They are honest and competent, turn up on schedule, give a fair estimated price upfront. If complications arise (don't they always?) they provide the necessary additional services at reasonable rates (by plumbing standards!).

We just had new kitchen faucet and sink installed which involved installing new shut-offs, removing the old sink and faucet, and reinstalling new sink and faucet. The new sink would not fit in the old countertop cutout so the job was interrupted for another contractor to perform that work. Then the old garbage disposal leaked and had to be replaced which meant interrupting the work again. Mike came to our house three times -the last two at short notice.

We are very pleased with the finished product.
