DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! Highly unethical and will illegally store your credit card information on file and try to charge you double for services that were completed and paid for 5 months ago. I used them for work on my rental condo back in April. First of all, they were late for the appointment so by the time they arrived (at 9:30PM) they were unable to obtain roof access. The next day they were supposed to call me to reschedule but didn't and just showed up at the unit. My tenant wasn't there so I had to drive over to meet the repair guy. After 10 minutes he said it was a loose wire or something and the unit worked fine. Advised the $89.95 service fee had already been paid for (they had charged me already for the guy who came late yesterday) and he said that would cover it and we were good to go. 5 months (yes, 5 months later) I receive a charge from them for $108 for an additional service on 4/27 that never happened. My service was completed on 4/9 and was paid in full. I called them and expressed my concern and was promised it would be taken care of and adjusted. Called back two days later and spoke to another person who looked at the account and said no notes or record of my call were on the account at all! She also said they had not deleted my credit card information that they had illegally kept on file without my permission. She promised to delete it and process the credit memo. I called back this morning and the memo has not been approved or posted and they said something about a CFO having to sign off blah blah blah. This company needs some serious work. Please do not use them and watch your credit card statement if you have in the past. Apparently their method of increasing profits is to randomly charge customers who have already paid their bills in hopes you don't notice. I even spoke to a manager who definitely could not have cared less about my negative experience or getting me my money back. Terrible experience and will never use them again.

What a nightmare. While friendly enough the experience with Reliable has been nothing sure of unreliable. Our salesman, Lee, has the southern gentleman act down and will aw shucks you to death but once the deal is done he is a ghost. Promised to set up the """"upgraded"""" smart thermostat. The thermostat was not upgraded and doesn't qualify for the rebates and oh it didn't actually work so we had to have about 2 weeks of fighting with the temp settings to get it done. New thermostat still the same junk one and now the system is dead. Oh and their installation while quick, they took one day for a job they scheduled for two failed the inspection. The tech they sent forgot the checklist of what needed to be done and we had to fight to get them to do all the fixes required so that we didn't have to waste another day after they failed again. Not a company I trust and one you shouldn't either.

Do not use this company. First appointment, was scheduled from 8-10. Tech did not show up until late afternoon. Second visit, for same issue the tech was prompt. Ordered a part that then took a week to get for a hot water heater that was under warranty. I called 3 different times. Each time I was told someone from parts department would call me back. No one ever called me back. I had no hot water for 7 consecutive days..off and on prior to that so really 11 days. No one apologized until I reached out on social media. I ended up paying for a part that was under warranty. Tech made it appear that I was getting a deal by paying for that instead of the 40 min of labor. I have tried to get this resolved in a satisfactory manner, however I received two $50.00 certificates that are Reliable Dollars. Very disappointed in this company that I expected so much better service from Reliable! ****Update Just spoke with a plumbing manager who has made this right ****

Eric Lott, the HVAC Service technician came out today to replace our blower and was knowledgeable, professional and went above and beyond. It's shocking how bad the reviews of Reliable have become. Sadly, our recent experience has been no better. The good news is that the two Trane systems we purchased from Reliable have been reliable and relatively problem-free. The bad news is that expiration of Reliable's annual maintenance contracts seems to vary from year to year, with the cistomer getting squeezed each year. In 2012 through 2016 we had service in November and May, though Reliable's recent letter indicates our contract expired in August. When calling Reliable at 770-554-9969 on a weekday at noon, one gets only an answering service that has no clue about our account and only refers messages. Reliable's own CSRs are also incapable of scheduling callbacks from their own personnel. I rarely give bad feedback on family-owned firms such as Reliable, but the Japes (father and son owners) need to either get control of their terrible customer service processes, or they may eventualy lose their business when customers abandon Reliable in favor of trusted local HVAC firms.

Absolute rip-off. Call other companies for quotes. They charge quadruple the price per lb of refrigerant. While they had quick availability to diagnose my issue, the price they quoted for refrigerant, testing for leaks, and replacing evaporator coils is absurd.

This review is for the Electric Division of Reliable. I called to have a GFI outlet replaced and we purchased the item. The tech replaced the wiring because indoor was installed previously instead of outdoor. He replaced 23 feet and was here 2 hours. We were billed $411. We were in shock at this amount. He relented and gave us a 10% discount for a total of $369. This is still an outrageous amount for an outlet installation. I called and complained to Jim the manager and he explained the pricing was justified. I don't agree and also did not care for his smart-aleck attitude toward me.

I called Reliable and had them come out to replace a Motor Run Capacitor that failed. I had already ordered the replacement part for $10 dollars on Amazon, but I didn't want to go the weekend without A/C so I called Reliable. The technician was friendly and showed up on time (during the 4 hour window). They wanted to charge me $240 for the capacitor plus the $89 service fee - $329 plus tax. I expect there to be a markup on equipment and I expect to pay labor - but a $230 markup? I told Reliable not to complete the work and I still had to pay the $89 dollar service fee. The part came on Monday and it took me 15 minutes to replace the capacitor and get the A/C unit cooling. They wanted to charge me over $329 for 15 minutes of work plus a $10 part. I understand that the common home owner would not replace a capacitor, but to charge $240 for a $10 part is ridiculous.

Buyer beware! Scam operation! We bought an $11,000 Zoned Trane system from them in 2014. We had a service warranty, after a few years they put in a comfort guard monitor system that alerts if any issues arise...it failed after two days. We called and called (as did other people we know to get theirs fixed) and they never came out. Fast forward a year, our AC unit stopped working. After metering the power outside, checking breaker panels, resetting the control board, we had an inkling it was a bad capacitor. The entire system is on a 10 year warranty, we called them for service. Our house was 96 degrees for 2 days at this point. They sent a """"tech"""" out who looked like he had been on a 5 day methamphetamine bender who kept twitching and could barely talk. He immediately diagnosed that the Compressor had failed and it would be over $1500 to fix under warranty and they don't have the part, I guess their tech's make $300/hour. I called the number to speak to a manager, the girl on the phone says that there are none, but someone else would call us back tomorrow...that never happened either. So we called Trane directly to complain, they sent a tech out the next day and told us our Compressor was 100% perfect working order and holding a charge, the problem was a cheap off brand capacitor that had failed when Reliable did the install...the exact same part I had told them about on my first call. Stay away! They take shortcuts, they try to scam you in time of need and hire incompetent kids.
