AHS policy holder assigned for service call on Wednesday afternoon. Called on Thursday afternoon Monday was as soon as possible. Appointment around 9 but out of Lakeland long drive. Arrived after 11 but did call to acknowledge running late. Plumber was polite, friendly and professional. Explained delay and went to work. Quickly diagnosed problem replaced garbage disposal unit and was done in less than half an hour. Tested repair a couple of times to insure no leak. We were very pleased with service and will request them If we have another AHS plumbing issue.

Reel Plumbers just installed a outdoor Water Softener in my home and for a great price! The work looks great and my water is better than ever. I am definitely referring Reel Plumbers to anyone who needs a Water Softener or has a plumbing problem.

I called and scheduled service through American Home Shield on 1/30/15. They confirmed me for an appointment on 2/2. Later that day, I contacted them to cancel the appointment because we figured out where the problem was and it wasn't as bad as we though (something we can handle). The person who answered the phone sounded as if they had just rolled out bed and that I was an inconvenience to them. He told me he would handle it. On 2/2, we were surprised to get a call from the plumber to let us know that he was on the way. We told him we had cancelled our appointment, and he told us """"this happens all the time."""" He did let us know that he was in the area already and it wasn't a problem. On 2/17, we received a bill from AHS for the service charge. When I called into AHS, I found out that Reel Plumbers submitted the visit to be billed! I'll let you decide what that says about the company.

DO NOT USE AHS or Reel Plumbers!!! I have an AHS warranty as well and I wish I could give them 0 stars. It takes 2 hours to get someone on the phone who is looking for reasons to deny your claim. I paid 400 for the warranty, spent a couple of thousand on the house I bought 8 months ago and they've paid $75. Reel Plumbers came out to verify the denial of the claim and were polite and helpful so I hired them to do a few jobs. The work they did isn't functioning properly because of regular issues that occur (they said) but the problem is its taken them 3 times to even get to """"not working due to normal occurrences"""" Issues such as stuff clogging the lines because they turned the water off? They billed me as they were walking out the door and I guess I have to reschedule them to get the other work done. I don't think I will. Currently, the guy is 44 mins passed the hour time slot he had to arrive to fix the work they've already charged me for and I guess they're not planning on fixing the hole in my ceiling where their guy stepped through.

Easily the best plumbing service around. Mike is great-knows his stuff better than any other plumber I've used and willing to go the extra mile to make sure the job is done right. He's done multiple jobs for me and lives locally in Polk county so cares about his customer. Can't recommend enough- you will be happy you made this call

I purchased a dishwasher from Lowe's and the installation was through Reel Plumbers. The plumber showed up on time. Unfortunately my floor needed repairs before the dishwasher could be installed but the plumber gave me specific instructions as to how to make the correction and it was easy to do. Once corrected, the plumber installed the dishwasher, but unfortunately the unit I bought was bad and needed to be replaced. The plumber was excellent in making time to return the unit and come back up to my house the same day to finish the installation of the new unit. I don't know of any other plumber that would work as hard as he did to make sure that the unit was running properly and that my needs were addressed in the same day. I would definitely call these plumbers again for other needs in the future. I was extremely impressed!

I'm an AHS (American Home Shield) customer and glad I got online to read reviews, as it just so happens all the reviewers are also AHS customers. I scheduled service June 5th this is the only provider for plumbing in my area. The tech who came out was very nice, I've come to see that AHS is the problem. The hot water heater will be installed tomorrow. Hopefully all goes smoothly as its taken AHS over a week and a half to order the replacement. I will update then.

Came via a """"Home Warranty"""" provider. Horrible contractor. No name on the trucks. We had a simple leak from the toilet but WERE USING IT. We had called the HW company 3 weeks prior and they send these guys out on a Thursday. They take everything apart and said they needed a part and wouldn't be back out till monday. Leaving us to travel across the house at night to go to the bathroom. Not a bad thing, but my wife had just had bladder surgery and needed that thing to be CLOSE......but no, telling me it was too much of a hassle to put it back....jackass..... then comes back out on Monday and tells us the HW wont pay for it and we have to pay his service call rate or call another contractor. As a contractor myself, I would never do work for a HW company. There are better contractors out there. There were no complaints listed on the Myfloridalicense.com website, but i'm sure if they are HW providers, well that should speak for itself. The reason for 2 stars instead of 1 is that they did do a good job. Just the business/service side of it SUCKED.

Was assigned this company by American Home Shield to replace a water heater. They came to look at the heater and I paid the $75 service fee. AHS called and said the heater would be covered, but the plumber said a thermal expansion valve was required by code and was charging an extra $230 . I talked with 6 other residents of the condo complex who recently had heaters installed and none have a thermal expansion valve. I talked with two of the plumbers that installed these heaters and they said it wasn't code and I didn't needed it. I called the county and talked with the plumbing inspector and she told me it wasn't required by code. I called Reel Plumbers back and they refuse to install the heater with the additional charge for a thermal expansion valve. Dishonest company.

Purchased a gas water heater through Lowes. Though Lowes dropped the ball filing my paperwork with the contractor for a few weeks, once I spoke with a Manager at Lowes directly, they filed the paperwork with Reel Plumbers. Reel Plumbers called me less than 24-hours later to schedule an assessment of the water heater replacement. Once the assessment was done, Lowes dropped the ball again for another week. After chasing down the Manager at Lowes (again), they sent my water heater parts and labor order to Reel Plumbers and I was contacted within 48-hours to schedule the work. They had the job done the very next day. Their guy, Rich, was friendly, professional, and very thorough with his work. He let me watch his work and kept me informed of what he was doing every step of the way...even taking time to answer my ridiculous questions about plumbing in general. I would highly recommend Reel Plumbers and plan to call them back to fix a wobbly toilet (which also likes to triple flush) as well as help me diagnose a loose shower fixture. Their entire team, from beginning to end, was a pleasure to work with (unlike Lowes).
