With 25 years in the construction field, I found my passion for plumbing engineering early on. I was captivated by the plumbing science and the diverse methods people used to achieve the same results, which sparked my creativity. I dedicated four years to night school in my early 20s to deepen my understanding of plumbing installation's complexities and engineering. For the next 15 years, I delved into all areas of plumbing, including building 6-7 bathroom mansions, 3-story, 24-unit apartment complexes, quadplexes, duplexes, condos, restaurants, converting coal-fired boilers to gas, on-demand heaters, and radiant heating in single-family homes. Whatever it is, I’ve handled it. In all these years, I have been involved in the development and expansion of many businesses. When I found my niche, I embraced it fully, and I enjoy every part of it.

I had my hot water heater fail on 7/21. I called Redwood and they were able to send someone out the next day, who quoted me $2600 for a full replacement (40gal gas heater, supply lines, pan). I agreed, and they came out to do the job 7/23.
The employee who did the replacement spent about an hour working, said he was done, and then came back shortly after saying he forgot to test something and was there for about another hour. He also failed to replace the pan, leaving a corroded, 10 year old pan under a brand new tank.
I called Redwood the next day to clarify why the pan wasn't replaced, and was told they would look into it. I also asked what the employee forgot to test, and was told he forgot a tool, but no clarity on why getting a tool required him to come back to my house for an additional hour.
A few days after, they called back and said that the employee had offered to quote a pan replacement and I declined, and that it would cost $500 to have them come back out. I clarified I did not deny getting the pan replaced (it's a $25 part...), and they said they'd call back. Shortly later they did, and said they'd make it right.
The original employee came back a few days later to finish the job. In the process, he must've cut his hand and left blood smeared inside the utility closet and my hallway wall. I hope he's ok, but leaving that kind of mess is unacceptable. They also scratched my front door getting items in and out of the house.
I discussed all this with the owner via email. He apologized, said he'd look into it, and also (quoted from the email) ""but sometimes these guys are like holes in a china shop. So I'm not surprised when I hear something like this. Even hopefully I can't be still confidence in her work"". That was the last communication I had from them.
I would not recommend Redwood.

I would definitely use them again. There was an overcharge on the bill but they quickly corrected that.
The problem they solved was a backed up sewer.
The people were personable and appeared totally competent.

Mike and his team repiped our house quickly and professionally. Highly recommend!! Their referrals were equally as responsive and helped complete the job to our satisfaction.

Very happy with Mike & the RP&D team. Highly focused on doing the right thing, absolutely impressed with the dedication to going above and beyond -- Mike's team installed a new high-pressure gas (propane) line from my tank to my outdoor kitchen, and are also scheduled to do a complete house water re-pipe this week along with an upgraded tankless water heater. Highly recommend, these guys are on top of it and have absolutely earned their star ratings.

Trust Mike! Not only did he solve our plumbing issues, but our house running better than ever before! The pricing is great w/ quality to match! We needed a new hot water heater, but we had low water pressure, & we had hard water destroying fixtures. The water heater, pump, & softener systems Mike & his crew put in our home (w/ all new PEX pipes) is amazing & affordable!! We're extremely satisfied & lucky we got to work with Redwood Pipe & Drain! They're our plumbers forever! (I had many others come out to bid & kept being disappointed...if that's you...call Redwood )

This company's service was prompt and really came through for my mom in an emergency. Brittni in the office spent a lot of time on the phone searching for the necessary parts needed for her repair and very friendly and Brett, who performed the repair, was kind, efficient and professional. My mom isn't super saavy computer-wise but wants you to know that she recommends Redwood Pipe and Drain 100%!

Customer service, at the moment Brittni answered my call, was outstanding. I had need, not Brittni, to call back several times. Always friendly when answering....knowing it was me. This all took place within an hour and service man was at my home in Santa Cruz by 2:30 that same day and replaced my water heater. It does not get better than this.

Mike and his team were total pros. They were always responsive, very prompt, and really took the time to walk us through everything they were planning. I couldn't tell you how their rates compare to others, but their customer service was unparalleled. Will absolutely use them again (though I hope it's not for a while!).

Michael was super quick to come out for an issue I had with the hot water not working at my place. I wasn't there but Michael was still able to coordinate with me and fix the issue really quickly and update me over the phone. Incredibly helpful and responsive - if I ever have an issue again, I know who to call/hire!

Well my old water heater decided to take a poop on me in the middle of a shower so I called around a few places and everyone either didn't answer or was booked out a week. When I called Redwood Pipe Britney answered the phone (super nice!) she said that Mike the owner could come out that day and see what needed to be done. Mike arrived 2 hours later and waisted no time looking over the old water heater. As I expected it was installed by the previous home owner incorrectly and that was part to blame of why it failed. Mike gave me a few options on what i could do and ultimately I went with his recommendation on getting an on demand heater. They scheduled me for the next day and I had hot water by that evening!! It's been 3 months now and I've noticed a reduction in my electric bill and the heater works like a champ. Thanks Mike and team for doing such a solid job! Come back for coffee anytime :)
