With 25 years in the construction field, I found my passion for plumbing engineering early on. I have always been intrigued by the plumbing science and the different ways to tackle projects while achieving the same results, which inspired my creativity. To better comprehend the complexities of plumbing installation, I attended night school for four years in my early 20s. Over the next 15 years, I explored every aspect of plumbing, from constructing 6-7 bathroom mansions to 3-story, 24-unit apartment buildings, quadplexes, duplexes, condos, restaurants, coal-fired to gas-converted boilers, on-demand heaters, and single-family homes with radiant heat. Whatever it is, I’ve handled it. Throughout this journey, I have contributed to the growth and establishment of various businesses. When I found my niche, I embraced it fully, and I enjoy every part of it.

I chose RP&D to replace my plumbing and sewer lines based on the good reviews here, on Google, and a friend's recommendation even though they were more expensive because I expected a high quality result. I would have given more stars but there were so many problems that RP&D had to fix I just can't recommend them. I don't know if I got the B-team or what happened but I wouldn't even have known that they did such a poor job insulating the hot water lines and also leaving behind the old sewer line pipes if I didn't crawl under the house after they finished to see what they had done. There also were many other issues too numerous to mention here. They did fix all of the problems I found but I paid more for a quality job that Mike promised but that sure isn't what I received.

Mike and his team at Redwood Pipe and Drain just completed a full repipe of my new mountain home. I highly recommend their work. Here's some additional context: I bought the new home without realizing that the pipes were old most likely original, threaded galvanized pipe. We came home one night to a leak sprung at the intersection of the house piping and the water main. After calling the guy from the city to see about where the Water main was and how to shut it off, he advised that we were likely going to need some new piping on the Water main due to its proximity to our redwood trees. I got several quotes to do the work, and we were consistently advised that it made sense to re-pipe the whole house because of the old galvanized piping. Mike came by to do the quote himself and educated me thoroughly about everything I needed to know about this type of work.
As he promised, they were not the least expensive nor the most expensive option. However it was clear that he really knew what he was doing, Many years of experience and plumbing, and their work would be high-quality. I also liked the personal view of meeting the business owner. On the day of installation, Mike was not able to be on site himself for a personal reason. I was hesitant about this at first, but his team did an excellent job, both with the work and also communication. They were considerate and kind and enthusiastic about the job. One of them even came back afterward to fix a small leak that occurred on the sink drain that was not part of their original scope, But may have been unintentionally impacted by their work.
Addition to the pipes, we ended up installing a new hot water heater, installing an under-sink water filter, and changing the sink fixtures in the house as well. I ended up investing a lot more on this project than just a quick fix on a pipe, but I'm very glad I did. And I feel confident that everything under the house is done correctly and will have the kind of longevity I would like it to have as new homeowners.
If you are considering working with Mike and his team, I recommend taking the next step.
Two small things to be conscious of, clean up was not their strongest suit. I had to make a number of requests about re attention to detail on clean up, and there are a few choices made when draining the old water heater that left a bit of a mess near the end. And we could've done a better job of covering floors and services to prevent extra cleanup. Just make sure your expectations in this domain are clear and you talk them through, rather than assume.
Lastly a small found object went missing from the basement during the time of the work. It's not clear if it was thrown away or otherwise removed. We have not located it yet but are still working on tracking it down. This does not at all deter me from recommending the team, but again make sure your expectations are super clear.

I would highly recommend this company. We are in the middle of a total remodel and could not count on the previous plumber to show up. These guys stepped in, were totally professional and did what we needed, basically re-ran everything and hooked up our tankless water heater and scaler, in the time frame they had quoted.
Very impressed. They came highly recommended from a General Contractor friend who lived near by....

We requested bids through Yelp for replacing the water main pipe from the street to our house. They provided a reasonable quote after visiting the site. Then did the work quickly and as stated in the scope of work. They removed plants and replace them very carefully. They did a good job and had nice and efficient workers.

We had a pipe crack in the front of our house. I really appreciate the prompt reply from Redwood Pipe and Drain. Mike was on site that same morning! Mike was professional and personable, he gave us honest and thorough information and didn't try to push for unnecessary services.
Our plumber Trevor was great! Super friendly and provided us with quality work!
I will be sure to call Redwood Pipe and Drain for all our plumbing needs!

I used Redwood Pipe and Drain for the first time recently. The owner of the company, Mike came out to re-run lines to a new water heater, after my old heater died. Mike was very friendly, professional, and ended up being around half the price of another plumbing quote I received. Also worth noting, I called him up late one day, and he fit him into his schedule the very next morning. Very pleased with my experience. Would recommend to others.

Mike and his team are awesome! Thankfully
I was referred to them by our GC and I could not be happier with their service. They're reliable and they do quality work.

Mike and his crew are incredible. After moving in, I was in search for a reliable plumber to help tackle a number of projects in our new home. His team has installed a water softener, filtration, worked on a bathroom remodel in our primary bathroom (shower, sinks, and new toilet)...but the biggest and most impressive work was the pipe and drain work in my home bar, The Lost Grotto.
The goal was to have a fully working sink, ice machine with drainage, and a bar rail drain with glass rinsing station. Mike's team worked with my desired layout, and the result is beautiful copper pipe and drain work under the bar.
The Redwood Pipe and Drain team is fast, efficient, and delivers high quality work at a reasonable price. They are experts, and the work reflects it! Definitely my go-to, and highly recommended for your pipe and drain needs.

Had a couple of issues that popped up over the last couple years (water heater died, leaking shower valve), and the team here was incredibly responsive and flexible with me. I really appreciated their efforts, and the work was done efficiently and with a high degree of professionalism. I recommend them to everyone.

Over the years in our new home we've run into multiple ""water suddenly shooting out of places it shouldn't"" Redwood Pipe and Drain have been there for us every time. They're our first call every time due to the outstanding quality of work and the exceptional quality of customer service.
