In a world where finding reliable ""fix it"" people can feel like searching for hidden treasure, I am grateful to have stumbled upon the incredible services of Red Wrench Plumbing. Upon first encounter, it was clear that Sean was a straight shooter, honest, personable, and skilled.

We had a interimittent leak under the sink. I was sure it was due to shotty work from a previous plumber. Sean assured me that the previous person did the best they could do with our weird situation, and that to truly fix it would be too big of a project. He was confident he could stop the leak for good though, and promised to come back later in the day. Sean returned when he said would, made quick work of the fix, and charged a fair price. He even let me awkwardly linger so that I could learn some tricks of the trade.

I have used Red Wrench Plumbing several times over the past year or so for both plumbing and gas/heating issues. They are always fast to respond, they turn up on time and they do a great job at at great price. I would definitely recommend them.

Probably should drive better and with more kindness and courtesy if you're going to be in a company vehicle.

I was at a 3-way intersection with a massive blind spot because of a moving truck that was blocking my view. I got there first but the driver of this company van not only decides to NOT let me go, but mean mugs me with entitlement as he passes by.

Hmmmmm. Two stars instead of one because maybe he's having a bad day and I want to extend the benefit of the doubt.

Not letting me go, fine. But staring me down. That was unnecessary and unprofessional.

EDIT: Sean reached out to me right after this negative review and asked for me to make it more positive since he'd been out of town. I'd expect to have gotten a text or email in response to one of mine to that effect. Something like ""still working on your quote, I'll respond when I'm back from vacation"" would have been all I wanted. I was looking for proactive, clear communication from someone installing my new wall toilet, and I got none of that from Sean. Can't comment on his work itself, just on his communication.

It's been a week and a half and not a peep from Sean on a quote for a wall toilet install after he came and visited to see the place. I've tried texting, calling, and texting without any answer. Guess I'll go with someone more professional!

Update: Great news from the owner! He indeed does diagnosis and repairs. That's great because I've seen so many positive recommendations on neighborhood listservs for Red Wrench!

Just FYI. when I called the other day for help with a drain and a separate leak, the person answering said the the plumber does ONLY installations and NO REPAIRS, no diagnosis of problems, no snaking.

Fantastic local plumber with clear communication and reasonable prices.

Sean installed our new faucet and proactively identified and solved problems with a rusty pipe that nobody else had found, saving us from a serious potential leak in the future. Highly recommended, and a reminder of why actual plumbers (instead of random taskrabbit fix-it folks) are awesome.
