Our water heater gave up after 12 years, needing immediate replacement. We decided to buy a new heater (50 gal. Rheem) ourselves, recruiting Red Tulip for installation.

As a family for four, we needed the job done ONCE, and done RIGHT.

Red Tulip patiently explained the rationale for doing what they did (routing hoses, installing new plumbing, choosing materials, etc.).

They improved the setup by including a new gas valve trap, upgrading the valve itself, replacing the old water inlet gate valve with a brass half-turn, modified the emergency venting plumbing, added new color-matched inlet and outlet hoses, electrical grounding, re-leveled and readjusted the safety straps, redid the duct work (complete with tape seal and rivets to prevent exhaust leakage), replaced the heater's stock drain valve with a half-turn (blue handle in image below), and installed a drain pan.

Every fitting used was of the highest quality with long-term reliability in mind. Importantly, they have all the equipment they need on-site, which made for a fast and clean installation.

They even left the job site in better shape than before, taking the trouble to clean the area behind the heater which is typically out of sight.

All said and done, Red Tulip provided excellent value - the most competitive quote for the stellar work done. We're impressed; a stark departure from the old setup!

It was a simple job unclogging a garbage disposal in a kitchen sink. Reasonable rate as well. Ray was punctual, professional, and solved the problem within the hour. He did a few other checks to diagnose the problem and left, leaving no mess behind. He was extremely courteous and friendly. What a great customer experience!

The second time was today: Last night I texted Ray and asked if he was available today and he remembered who I was from (over) a year ago and came by today at 3:00 and just left. He is kind. He is prompt. He is clear with what the situation is and incredibly professional. The good people of Red Tulip are the only people I go to after a slew of other plumbers over the years. My parents needed to replace multiple old valves in an old condo building. Ray responded promptly and was very flexible with scheduling to come by for a quote and then for the job. He and his team showed up on time, communicated well, carefully replaced all of the valves, and checked their work very thoroughly. Ray knows what he's doing and how to do it best. I have no complaints and will be calling Red Tulip Plumbing for all the future plumbing needs.

We are so glad our neighbor referred us to Red Tulip. Ray has helped them with all their plumbing needs since 20+ years ago so we know they are good. Our recent firsthand experience has proven this is totally true!

We discovered leakage in the kitchen sink drain a few weeks ago. It was a difficult fix because the piping in question is inside the wall. Ray and his associate did an excellent job in locating the problem area right away. They made an opening in the wall behind the dishwasher almost exactly where the leaky pipe joint was. Successfully accessing the pipes from inside the house is huge, much better than cutting a big hole on the exterior wall that is exposed to the elements. They were very attentive in the repair work while keeping the space quite neat. They spent time to pressure test the system a few times to make sure the leak was fixed. After that, they cleaned & put everything back nicely. Even garbage was bagged.

They also helped us replace the shower mixer cartridge. The work was done quite efficiently. Now we can enjoy good hot shower finally! It was a day of hard work for them and we are very pleased with the results.

On top of that, Ray called a few days later to follow up to make sure everything is working. We are impressed at their skills & professionalism. They also charge reasonably. And, they are very nice friendly guys, too. We would definitely recommend them.

Ray is my go-to guy for any plumbing issues. Extremely professional, knowledgeable and fair. So far I have done faucet replacement, drain cleaning, and Just did a water heater replacement with him. It is good to have a reliable plumber you can count on if needed.

We had a toilet issue several weeks ago, called Red Tulip, and Ray came by later the same day. He was polite and knowledgeable, and was able to find and fix the issue within a short period of time. The cost was also reasonable.

The has been no issue with the toilet over the last few weeks, so we are good to declare success here. I would definitely want to work with Red Tulip again in the future.

Our garbage disposal fell apart one evening and made half of our kitchen sink unusable. We reached out to a few plumbers the next morning.

Red Tulip Plumbing responded quickly and scheduled an appointment for the very next day. They came by, explained the situation, recommended a quality replacement part, and quoted a very reasonable price. They were able to return within a couple days with the agreed-upon part and installed it quickly.

It's working fine, with no complaints. Five stars!

They tried to scam me today. I have a dual sink with the side connected to a garbage disposal clogged. One of Ray's associates came out for an estimate and told me right away that the garbage disposal is old and needs to be replaced, he could do it right now because he has a new one in his van and the cost would be $500. I asked him if he first checked to see if the pipes were clogged, he got annoyed and said that's impossible because they are not metal pipes. Something seemed odd about that answer so I told him I'd call them after I thought about it. I decided to take the pipe off myself (something I've never done but it took 1 min) and found that it was very clogged. I think this guy lied and tried to take advantage of me. Anyway, the silver lining is I learned how to do this myself - the sink is now fixed for $0.

I have recently used Ray and his partner(Ahmad) services in installing a new Sink. They have done very good job end to end starting with providing me an estimate, explaining to me details involved. They were very professional in completing the job. I would highly recommend them and would personally use their services again.
