I gave 1 star because I could give zero. Red Stag is by far the worst contractor I have ever used. If you use these guys, you're going to have problems. Their work is sloppy, cut corners, use cheap materials and never meets code. when the job goes bad, and it will, they will ignore you, refuse to answer your calls, texts and email. They represent themselves as a GC but don't have a license. In most states including Maryland, this is a misdemeanor criminal violation punishable by fines, jail time and revoking of any other licenses. I have reported them to MD state Dept of labor, MD Home improvement Commision and Montgomery County Office of Consumer Protection. Stay away from this business. They will screw up your job and won't stand behind their work. Horrible owner and employees.

Had a plumbing clog that impacted our entire house. I called Red Stag and they were here within the hour. They did a fantastic job at a very reasonable price!

My experience was absolutely TERRIBLE!!!!. Here's a sad truth to make light of a serious matter - What's red, white, and black all over, quotes a job to be done a specific way that is better than what someone else offered, performs much less to completely negate that differance in reality, behaves inappropriately while on your property, has time for mud fights while they are digging, uses their thumbs on the screens of their cell phones much if not most of the day while they are supposed to be working, and charges more for less than they promised? You guessed it, it's Red Stag Plumbing.

It felt like some horror movie, like working with the Mafia! I had to pay half up front so I was tied to their finishing the job, and the price kept increasing throughout with less work attached each day as the job slowly progressed. They also asked for all their money before all their work was done and way before I was satisfied (don't be a gracious person and just pay it as I did, or you will be sorry). Promises on how the work would be done (and how the job was awarded) were not kept (size of pipe, pitch of run, straightness of run, type of pipe used, use of surrounding rock for drainage). These were all empty promises from what they quoted as they were not delivered (get it in writing, or better yet, avoid them completely).

They promised to fix things for free if I did a big job for them, and fixed none of it after the big job was done and they asked for payment for it. They lie and when things start to go bad, and the owner is protected from it all and not accessible without pulling major fire alarms, Oh, and they swear, fire people while on your job site, leave garbage and tools around, and fail to show or show late on various days without any notification or communication. If these things make you nervous, don't hire them.

They also may dig without calling utilities to mark lines, dig in areas that had not been discussed without permission (even common property), and they broke every low-power electrical or cable running to my house, without repairing them or calling to repair them. They said they did not know how and these things happen when you dig - really? Thanks to Red Stag, I lost my landscape lighting, cable service wite, telephone wires, and fiber and internet, and they did nothing to initiate repair of any of these costly and careless errors. I don't have the budget to fix what they ruined!

They also ignored all my continual requests to preserve the grass, even if I had to put it back myself. Worse yet, they dug up large rocks and boulders all around where they dug, and just left them there on top of the dirt and grass. They affected an area ten feet wide like this (some places wider) for the length of the trench, ruining the grass in just digging a narrow trench - how careless can you be! They created a big mess that will cost as much as the job just to make everything right again. You can't say I didn't warn you about Red Stag Plumbing. These guys are really bad news for your property, your electric services if you want to work from home or enjoy various providers and amenities, and any hope of fixing things at a reasonable cost after they wash their hands of the job.!

I am warning you what might well happen, as it did to me, I would advise don't do it!
