For years, we at Plumbing Solutions offered a enhanced plumbing expertise we called Red Cap service. This innovative approach to plumbing was embraced so much that we became Red Cap Plumbing, and we later added HVAC and Electrical services. Our company is fully licensed and insured. Our company is listed on Angi's list and has provided services to the Tampa Airport Marriott Hotel. Each of our technicians wears a red cap. Before 2007, John was an independent contractor and assisted a friend in managing a refrigeration company. Throughout this time, he held various roles including installer, installation expert, and sales representative. In 2007, he joined Metro Mechanical, which marked the start of an inspiring journey.

Between 2007 and 2015, he occupied a variety of roles at Metro Mechanical, such as Sales Manager, and was later promoted to General Manager. During that time, the company changed ownership by Coolray Heating & Air Conditioning, which operated 36 HD stores in Georgia and about $15 million in revenue. Subsequently, he assumed roles such as VP of HD Operations and in 2018 was advanced to Chief Operating Officer of Ragsdale Heating, Air, Plumbing & Electrical, managing significant growth and organizational improvements.

In June 2024, he was appointed President of Red Cap Plumbing, Air & Electric, with a focus on improving the experience for our customers. We aim to make every experience effortless, ensuring our customers feel confident and pleased.

This is one of the worst companies I have ever had to deal with. The plumbing side of it seems very ethical and very professional. The AC side of it.....um, NO!!! We had to have a new hot water heater installed and they came out and did a great job. So we thought we would use them when our AC froze up a week later. BIG MISTAKE!! I called and they sent a guy named Brandon out that day, but he couldn't do anything since it was froze up. He was in a hurry and even yelled at the dispatch that he wasn't taking another call. A technician came out the next day named Michael. He worked and worked to try and find the issue, but couldn't find a leak. He gave us some refrigerant which was WAY OVERPRICED and went about his day. 1 WEEK later it froze up again!!!! They sent another technician out named Olsi. He was there for an hour and couldn't find the leak. He just looked at us and said sorry basically. So when I called the company to see what our next option was and to try and find out what the heck was going on, I got to speak to Duane. He was rude, unprofessional, and kept saying denying nothing sounded like his technicians as in the fact Brandon was in a hurry and that he yelled at the dispatch about not taking another call. He defended them the whole time and barely let me get a word in to say what I needed to say. WE NEVER ARGUED THAT IT WASN'T A LEAK, WE WERE JUST UPSET BECAUSE THEIR TECHS COULDN'T FIND IT!!!!! After speaking with Duane and finding out that he was protecting his technicians because one was his son, he told me he was going to send someone out to do a dye black light test for free. I said fine, send someone out. Later that night I received a call from the Vice President of the company saying that he was going to send his installation manager out with the tech to do the Dye Black light test the next day. Fast forward to the next day. The Installation Manager came out BY HIMSELF, ran a test outside and came in saying you definitely have a leak. Once again, we aren't arguing that there is a leak, but then why can't your techs find it?!?!? He went upstairs and found the leak within 5 mins. When 2 other technicians had been out and couldn't find it for hours!! He said we needed to replace our coils. He went to his van for all of 5 mins and came back in with a quote, however the quote was for a BRAND NEW AC UNIT not coils!!!!!!! At that bottom of the page he decides to write that if we just want to change out the coils it will be $3200, not even checking to see if our coils were still under warranty which they were!!!! He quotes us $10,640 for a brand new unit saying they don't recommend putting money into a unit that is 7 years or older!!!!!! He never checked if our coils were under warranty, he couldn't show us were the exact leak was, and he was there for all of 45 mins!!!!! AND THEY NEVER DID THE DYE BLACK LIGHT TEST BECAUSE THE INSTALLATION MANAGER, MANNY, CANCELLED IT BECAUSE HE JUST KNEW HE COULD FIND THE LEAK!!!! SO ONCE AGAIN NOT DOING WHAT THEY SAY THEY ARE GOING TO DO OR PROMISE TO DO!!!!! I called another company out to get a second opinion and he can't find a leak either and says that if we ever did want new system it would be about $5k cheaper than what this company quoted us. Absolutely......the worst company EVER!!!! This company is unethical, unprofessional, and absolutely unacceptable. The statement from the owner above is completely incorrect so I wonder if he even knows what is going on with his company. I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone EVER!!!! I haven't had a follow up call, or anything from this company to see how we would like to move forward but that is ok because we aren't and will never do business with this company again!!!! We spent $3000 with them in 3 weeks and all we got were HEADACHES!!! BUYERS BEWARE!!!!!

My dear neighbors. Buyers Beware!!!! Red Cap will install your new air conditioning units incorrectly. They will charge you a fortune in labor to come out countless times to fix their mistakes. It will surprise everyone to know that labor is not covered even though parts are covered under warranty. I have spent a fortune having them come out to fix their """"issues"""" with my unit and it still doesn't work correctly. They lie and deceive. They cannot be trusted. Save your money and take your business elsewhere. Lennox will not help either. They don't care that they have partnered with a company that does not care about their customer or throw mud on the Lennox name.""""

Bad experience going to go with a different company, I would not recommend this company, left us without ac for the weekend because they could not clear a drain line, I had to fix the drain line myself in order for my family to have air for the weekend!!! they don't care

Jessica came over to give us a quote for a new AC unit. She said we had tears and holes in our ductwork so it needed to be changed. She also said our copper lines needed to be replaced. When it came time to quote us, we respectfully told her we would be getting other quotes. She tried to make us feel like it was an emergency. Okay, no... We've known we needed to change the unit for a year at that point. She asked for my credit card number so that when I let her know she can charge us the deposit. Okay, no... Then it became a haggling war with Jessica as the only participant. She originally quoted us at around $15k for the work but went down to about $9k when she saw we weren't going to """"sign on the dotted line."""" They obviously are not interested in giving you an upfront fair price. A different company came over to give us a quote and the items Jessica said were damaged were indeed not damaged. I would not recommend this company.

I'm very disappointed in the service. We've used Red Cap for many years and when this problem cam up I told my wife just call Red Cap and get it fixed, because I was to busy and I knew it was a fairly simple fix. Your tech couldn't turn off of the water main knowing we had a leak on the main line coming in. She had to call the county to do it adding an extra charge. Because he freaked out about all the water coming out of the leak. Then he told my wife she would need to pull up the pavers herself, because he needed her to work next to him... Said he would give a discount if she smiled at him... Told her she needed to provide the shop vac, or there would be extra fee's. I'm so upset that my wife had to deal with this guy and have such a bad experience. I should have taken care of this simple fix myself, it was probably only 2-3 hours of work, the guy spent more time at the home depot getting parts then he did fixing the problem. I guarantee you have lost a customer over this experience. Oh also he entered the house without a mask on even though my wife and daughter were wearing them when around him.

This is a warning to everyone do not use Redcap plumbing ever! They were trying to fix my Jacuzzi jetted tub for two months now and it is still not fixed. I have paid $500 and had at least five technicians at my house and a manager. The First Time Eddie replaced one jet, Then I went to use it again and everything was still leaking. Second time Eddie came out replaced another jet and then broke something else called an actuator. Third time Eddie came out to replace that and it still wasn't fixed! He had to come back because there was air in the line. He came back to fix that and pulled the hot cold water handle off and did not have the right screw To repair and had to go to home depot to get a new one. They finally sent a new technician Kyle out to replace all the jets and it's still leaking!! I spoke to the manager Jason today and he refused doing work for me anymore he told me my tub was too old and he does not want to be held liable! He is the absolute rudest person I ever spoke to! They make you feel like it's your fault that they can't fix your issue! The Company May look good from the outside as far as their nice TV advertisements and their company vehicles. But it's obvious to me The only reason they can afford that is by ripping people off!
