I just had a new HVAC system installed by Red Bear Mechanical in CC. Could not have been nicer people to work with! The owner, who quoted, the office staff and terrific installers too. VERY impressed with their integrity! Great pricing too. I HIGHLY recommend them!! Thank you Red Bear. We are enjoying the nice cool air and looking forward to more comfortable heating and lower bills in the winter too! You rock!!

I usually wait at least a year before writing a review for major home upgrades. I purchased a replacement Bryant furnace along with upgrading to an A/C for the summer so I did not have to rely on swamp coolers any more. all the work was done in December 2020. My neighbor used this company across the street and she usually chooses the best of the best in carson city, so I called them for a quote.

Upon further research, i found this is a family owned, local carson city Hvac and plumbing company. Apparently the dual professions fall into the ""mechanical"" category and have a wealth of knowledge in Heating, ventilation, air conditioning and plumbing.

Anyway, I obtained a quote for a Bryant furnace and A/C and a whole house air filter and electrical air purifier (you know, the smoke from the california fires isn't gonna get any better each year). The installation took about 3 days. The furnace was the first priority since it was winter, and that was running from day 1.

Anyway, stuff happens, and there was some problems that became apparent with the install. Their installers (also their technicians), handled it with grace and expertise. It was all resolved to my satisfaction.

We also had some issues that couldn't be troubleshooted until the summer that was resolved to my satisfaction when the A/C was fired up.

Now this is a company that does not advertise on TV, does not have 100 plus employees, does not have a separate installation team as compared to those on television.

I think this is important as some large companies have a separate installation team, that does not troubleshoot, and that can cause problems. This company has its technicians do the install which was important to me because I see the same people over and over again for maintenance and stuff. I am not a big fan of having different people coming into my house.

The Bryant equipment is great, and the people are great.

I think its important to support the small local business. If you live in Carson and Northern Nevada, and nearby (lake tahoe etc), feel free to give them a call. There prices are fair and reasonable and I felt that received an honest and fair opinion on all the issues that I faced.

We have a high output gas water heater that heats our floors as well. I didn't understand the system very well. I called a good friend of mine that is an extremely popular plumber in Carson City. He referred me to Red Bear Mechanical. I had Michael come out to explain how the system works. Boy, I'm glad I did. The water heater started having issues a few months later. Michael diagnosed the intermittent problem and swapped the likely components. Problem solved... for a while. Michael returned several times to fix the problem. When summer arrived, it wasn't working very consistently. Michael decided to disassemble the PVC plumbing for the air intake and exhaust. He found a hidden air filter in the corner behind the water heater that was very plugged up. It was not visible the way the system was installed and it was never mentioned when on the phone with tech support. Had he not taken it apart, problems would have continued. Now I know the filter needs to be cleaned or replaced every couple years.
Throughout this process, Michael was friendly and the costs were very fair. I will recommend Red Bear Mechanical without any hesitation.

Debbie and her team are amazing. I had an emergency fireplace situation and Debbie did a wonderful job of communicating with me and her technician Cody jumped on the task and provided me with a solution immediately. Definitely a five-star experience which I highly recommend.

It's so amazing to work with professionals! We had a gas wall heater that was quite vintage, made grinding noises and lost it's pilot light frequently. Reached out to Red Bear and made an appointment. They called before arrival to let us know they were on the way, took the time on premises to explain some options, provided written quote in a timely manner and without pressure. The workmanship is awesome, the new heater has no running pilot and they installed a Nest Thermostat we left for them.

I would call these guys back for anything heat or gas related in a heartbeat; they were truly excellent.

Bought a place in Lake Tahoe, Nv. and was referred to Red Bear Mechanical for some work from running a gas line to replace an original furnace and water heater.

I really like this company and how they handle their business, from the back office (Jessica and Debbie) to the tech guys (Cody & Orlando) who come out and replace and fix and replace the furnace and water heater. Jennifer and Debbie who work in the office are quick to return your calls or emails. Jessica & Debbie listen to your issues and quick to answer your questions or help you out in any situation you find yourself in. From emergencies to general questions! I never felt like I was bothering them, I never felt rushed while talking to them on the phone.

Unfortunately I have dealt with some flakey companies up here in the area, and this is not one of them! Like I said, they listen to your concerns and issues and they'll give you a honest professional opinion, and not a sales pitch, or try to sell you something you do not need. ( I've had several companies in Los Angeles try to pad some extra work when it is not necessary).

I had the pleasure to meet Mike the owner who is a very knowledge guy in his business. Friendly, professional, and honest. A company reflects on the owner, or the people who run the company. Mike runs a great business and it reflects in all of his employees. I will recommend this company all day long. There are some business up here and including in Los Angeles who could learn something from how Mike runs his company, and how they handle their business. Thank you Mike, you run and manage a great company! Its refreshing to do business with such a professional and truly honest company!

We had our air conditioner serviced today. Cody was our technician and he was very efficient and knowledgeable. He had our air conditioner running in no time! Reasonably priced also! We will definitely use them again in the future!

What a great experience! From start to finish Michael and his team were so professional, neat and organized. I had a large job in our new home in Incline Village, it included new air conditioner, furnace and tankless water heater, not only did they complete the job quickly it was done right! I would highly recommend Red Bear Mechanical, they are top notch!
