The first week of October I called Reasonable Handymen to get an estimate for a roofing job. I called the number shown on their Yelp page, 693-7024, and spoke with a fellow who made an appointment for several days later. He didn't show up. The next day I called the same number and spoke with a fellow who said that that number should not be on the Yelp page and that I should call 925-206-7364. I left a message on their voice mail and a woman called back. It sounded as if our name was in their system but she had us confused with a person in Pacheco (we're in Walnut Creek) who needed a garage door replaced. She took our correct info and said somebody would call us. After several days with no call I called 206-7364 again. The fellow who answered seemed confused that I had called and said that number was his personal phone, not a business number, and that I should call 428-3501. He assured me that someone was there to answer but, of course, there wasn't. I left a fresh message requesting an estimate for a small roofing job. It has now been 51 days without a reply. I'm mystified by the positive Yelp reviews. How can anyone who conducts their business in such a slipshod manner be trusted to do a satisfactory job?

I contacted them late Sunday afternoon 10/29 (during the busy season). John and Kelly were quick to respond and had someone out for an estimate the next day for my tricky metal roof. Philip did a great job and was super friendly! Everything was done in a little less than three days from my job posting, despite Halloween falling in the middle of all this. Real easy group of guys to work with!

I can't say enough about Reasonable Handymen! Our rental flooded and needed major repairs and updating.. Reasonable Handymen not only gave a reasonable price but they did an outstanding job! They are professional and efficient! HIGHLY recommend! The pictures I attached speak for themselves!

What a find! I had a cracked shower pan and I could find no one..literally no one who could do the entire job of getting the pan out, installing a new one, re-tiling , and putting the shower enclosure back up. The best I could get were estimates for part of the job. Ugh. Then I reached out to the Reasonable Handymen, John and Kelly. They came over, gave me an estimate and assured me that they could do the job. Part of me was skeptical but what choice did i have? Their work blew me away. They did an excellent job . In a day the pan was replaced and the shower functioning. In the future when the occasion arises, they are getting my business.

I was in a pinch and needed last minute work done at my house - not only were they able to make an expedited request (at no added cost I might add) but we're so thorough in their effort! I had a leak in my roof I had John and his team come out and let me tell you they are awesome very responsive and professional. They got my roof fixed and did all the repairs inside also !!!! It is really great having a company that can do everything!!!!!!! They even offer a senior discount. GREAT JOB GUYS!!!!!!!!!!!!

Great guys and very responsive but very rushed work. Installed an exterior door and 2 interior doors. One of the doors would pop back out and needed to be pushed in a few times to close. Called for someone to take a look at the door and someone came out and reinstalled the door however, he rushed through it. Had to cut the door down but left the hinge side of the door unpainted so we have a door with an unfinished side. Said he'd stop by if he's in the area to paint it but never did. I also mentioned to him that the lock was now stuck (new door knobs) and he quickly jimmy rigged it and left. Our locking mechanism still gets stuck and we need to poke at it to release. They tried to paint over a mistake on the second interior door and you can tell because the area is textured and rough. Sounds like this is a side gig for them so just be careful.

Edit: I apologize, I don't recall that being a recommendation. If that was the case I think it would've been best to turn down the job. It would've been so much nicer to write what you wrote me in your PM here. I think at this point I'm taking it as a lesson learned. Best of luck with everything.
