3 years ago I hired Ready Rooter to run gas lines at my home. I assumed they did a good job, but they never called for the final inspections, so I can't be sure it was done properly. A year ago I got nasty letters from the city about the expired permit and significant penalty fees. I was told that Ready Rooter was responsible for getting the final inspections. I called and they assured me they would take care of it. Just recently I got another round of threatening letters from the city. Ready Rooter had done nothing. I called again and was assured again that it would be resolved. I checked back and was told they had scheduled the inspections. Today I got a call back from the city letting me know that Ready Rooter had lied about scheduling the inspections. The city finally told me that I could call myself. They gave me the number and I took care of it in minutes. When I called Ready Rooter to let them know, they were rude and hung up on me. The city and inspection support team were very helpful. They both told me that Ready Rooter is known for dropping the ball and that they currently have 18 expired permits that they have neglected. Three years!!! So Frustrating.

Chapman plumbing was recommended to my by a trusted contact, a professional I do business with.

I phoned to make an appointment, and was surprised to quickly get through to a scheduler, who was pleasant, knowledgable, and efficient.

After consulting both our calendars, we landed on a mutual convenient day and time. We then confirmed the date and time, and before hanging up I said, ""I will look forward to seeing the plumber on the ____ at ____""

Fast forward to the scheduled date: no one shows up or calls.

I phone Chapman plumbing, and again quickly get through to a person. I explain the situation, but I'm informed that ""we don't have you on our calendar."" With further checking it is apparent there is no record of our conversation.

The person I spoke with was pleasant, but seemed to doubt whether I had in fact scheduled. We discussed the possibility of a ""different"" Chapman plumbing, but I confirmed this phone number in the email from my contact.

I invited the person to check out further what might have happened and call me back. (she said they have a number of answering service staff who may have taken the call--though my original call was during normal business hours, and the person I spoke with today did not even ask me that question!). To her credit, she called shortly after, and offered to get a plumber to my house ""after he finishes"" a current job. However, this isn't the same as asking me ""would it be convenient for you if--"".

However, there's a basic problem here: a lack of courtesy. First: no apology. Secondly: an appreciated effort to ""make up"" the error (not admitted of course), but without consideration to what might work for me. I explained I had another appointment today an hour from when we spoke, and asked the plumber's ETA. The person I was speaking said, ""I couldn't really tell you.""

In the end, I rescheduled, but my confidence is low--and only my contact's recommendation is leading me to giving them another chance.

Very pleasant, accommodating reception forgot to send a message to the plumbers at Ready Rooter, but not their fault! Two gentlemen arrived about 15 mins early for our 2nd appt. & were waiting for me to arrive. They worked for a solid hour to clear my drains. I was worried I'd have to wait 3 more more days for some kind of hydro treatment they provide & was nervous about the cost. They persisted & found the problem.

I've always used another, more well known company for my tree root growth problems in the past, but they weren't available for 24 hours. The other company charged $144 more for approx. 15 mins worth of work last year. Ready-Rooter only charged me $206 for the whole hour of being on my roof trying different augers, clearing the sink w/their shop vac & working inside under the sink, as well. They were tidy & as quick as possible. I'm so grateful to them & will be calling them each & every year when the winter rains back everything up.

Chapman Plumbing replaced our old washer hook-ups that had 40 year build-up inside of them. They were able to give us a next-day appointment, which was great since we had just moved in and were expecting a new washer dryer a few days later. Mike and Kristen were our techs and they were knowledgeable and friendly. Since the new units are stacked in front of the faucets, we wanted to be sure the new installation was right and we feel assured that it is. Thank you!

Excellent service and knowledgeable plumbers. We had a sewer scope inspection of our 60 year-old cement main line done and then a clean-out. They did a great job and saved us money with their advice. Respectful, prompt, and they cleaned up afterwards!

If I could give negative stars, I would. A week ago, we had trickles coming from the valves under the kitchen sink. We tried to get someone local and, when no one responded, we called Chapman. The guy came out and decided nothing was wrong with the valves because he couldn't get them to leak. Two days later we came home to a ruined kitchen floor and subfloor, and the flood drove mice into our kitchen. Chapman sent another guy out who found corroded parts inside the valves and fixed it.
This week, I took time off from work to meet them so they could test the waterline. They called at the last minute and said they could not come until next week. And the repaired valves? They aren't fixed at all and leak a lot when the dishwasher runs. Now we have to submit to our insurer for the floor damage and endure a torn up kitchen when it can be repaired.

Excellent service! Gave me a window of time of arrival and a courtesy call prior to potentially come earlier which was great.

Took care of my kitchen sink back-up problem quickly, cleanly and very personable/professional. I absolutely will go with this company in the future.

This also comes after our normal company didnt have time for us and our situation, nor care if we didnt schedule with them- so to find a company that did care and treated us so great really turned my morning and day around. The service guy that showed (Scotty) was really great-

These guys are the best. Used 3 times for emergency service at odd hours. Every time they responded quickly, arrived amazingly fast and did the job quickly with a reasonable price. I can't believe I'm saying that about a plumber!! Great job Chapman Ready Rooter. We are your customer.

Had a clogged sink. Called in the issues and the same day they were able to come out and fix it. Staff is wonderful to work with and I would definitely recommend them to anyone!

We had a mainline plumbing clog emergency. They scheduled us for first thing in the morning, showed up having already researched our property, and resolved the issue quickly! All for a very reasonable price. I highly recommend this very nice to work with, professional company.
