The year 1973 marked the beginning, Roy started his plumbing and heating business by employing a lone truck. Roy operated from his house alongside his eldest son Ed. The following year, 1974, his son Tom finished high school and took up the plumbing trade with his father and brother.
As the business grew, Roy acquired a property located in North York, which was once a cigar factory from the early 1900s, and with dedicated effort, it transformed into the headquarters of R.E. Sanders Inc, offering Plumbing, HVAC, and Electrical services.
Roy actively worked to the company for over four decades. His commitment and effort shaped his loved ones comprising one daughter, six sons, eighteen grandkids, and sixteen great-grandkids. It is with his cherished spouse Dolores that they created their wonderful family in partnership.
Tom is co-owner in R.E. Sanders, Inc. together with his dad Roy. A York native, Tom grew up here and now resides with his wife Kathi, daughter Kasey and son Daniel. He graduated from York Catholic High School and possesses a Master Plumbing license. Tom has dedicated his career to the family business for over 40 years. In his free time, Tom enjoys coaching soccer, riding horses along with motorcycling.

Christopher M.Incredible service with our biggest plumbing job to date. The job became way more involved than than they bargained for but they stuck with me and were very fair with their billing. Super appreciative!
I have had Sanders service my heat pump multiple times and they have always been great to deal with. Most recently, they were called for a second opinion when another company suggested that I replace my unit that was frozen over. Sanders quickly diagnosed and corrected the issue for a fraction for the price. They earned my trust and future business.
Janice K.I have had Sanders do several jobs on our property throughout the years. I have Never had a problem with this company. In fact when they installed my sensor lighting they saw how horrible the filter set up was on our in line water filter set up for the house. They ask me if I would like it to be put in with more stability. I was thankful they ask and immediately said yes. They secured the filter so it no longer took two people and still had a chance to break the line if we did not counter the other persons strength properly. I was very pleased with the timely appointments and desire to do a job properly.
This was a terrible experience. I called them to replace the pump in my old well - they collapsed the well doing that, and used some sort of tamper to tamp it back down (which added about $1000+ to the cost they quoted me) AND my water was never drinkable after that (it stayed muddy). I called at least 4 times - my calls were never returned. 7 months later my well died again.
Today, in the course of having a new well drilled, I learned that Sanders had installed a sensor that shut off the pump when the pressure became low, BUT had to be turned back on MANUALLY (down in the well pit, underground) - which they never bothered to tell me. So I was without water for almost 6 weeks while I waited for the new well-drilling company to get to my drilling job.
If I had known about that manual switch I could have had water while I waited
I did not give them a bad review initially, trying to be fair. I also didn't think it was possible to be LESS satisfied with their work -- today I learned that it was very possible
