We remodeled our bathroom 4 years ago and RDN did the resetting and installation of our toilet and vanity. They were wonderful to work with. We have had them do other work for us since. Changing water valves, snaking drains etc. I call them first. I would have given them 5 stars but they are a bit pricey. I don't think they are any pricey than other plumbers, but it is a part of a review.

Leaking hot water tank. We have a home warranty and have been burned a few times with the contractors they send and determining what's approved...so my expectations were low and reading the reviews they went even lower.
I'm happy to report, they arrived earlier than expected, diagnosed the problem, had a hot water tank with them, and were able to remove the old one & install the new one within 2 hours tops. Pleasantly surprised

We have a toliet in our basement that hadn't been flushing correctly, so we finally decided to use our home warranty and have a professional see what the issue was. After deciding it was a large job that would involve jack-hammering out our floor (apparently the toliet was double vented) and the floor had a p-trap installed they gave us a very rough estimate on cost. When talking to the office they said they could come out and use a camera and be able to give us an exact cost. Using the camera would be $175, but they would take it out of the final price if we had them do the work. Well, they came back out, we paid the $175...and then never heard from them again! That was months ago now.

WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!

I've written a lot of positive reviews about companies. This is my first negative review.

RDN Plumbing is expensive and incompetent. One of their plumbers came out and said he couldn't install an under-sink water filter because it wouldn't fit in the space below my sink. He said he would have to charge me $90 for the visit, but that if I got the right kind of filter, they would come back out and perhaps credit my account the $90. I asked him to please let me know what model water filter I should order.

After three days of trying to get this information from RDN, I talked to a manger who said that because they came out, the $90 charge would have to stay.

I then called another plumber who came out and installed the water filter, with no problem. He charged me $160.

I called back to RDN and spoke to the manager who said that when the plumber came out here, he unclogged the disposal. I agreed but pointed out he didn't do the work I had requested. He said that if they had installed the water filter, I would have been charged over $300. He said there was no way they would refund the $90.

So, there you have it. Incompetent + Expensive + Poor customer service = I'll never use them again, and I recommend you avoid them at all (literal) costs. There are plenty of good plumbers out there. RDN isn't one of them.

Cannot recommend these guys now, unfortunately. We had a decent experience at first, but then on a recent valve replacement job that took no more than an hour (but cost us a whopping $600!), the diverter piece was faulty and did not work. We had to wait a week with a non-working shower for the replacement part to be fixed. I complained (very kindly!) to the company, saying that I understood it was a faulty piece and not the plumber's fault but that he should have tested it before leaving and I requested a partial refund. I normally test things before a contractor leaves, but I had my newborn baby with me and could not. For NINE WEEKS they kept promising to get back to me about a partial refund--which isn't a lot to ask given the circumstances--but will not call back or follow up. Guess they don't mind losing a lifetime customer over a couple hundred bucks. This shows the integrity of the company. So, you might have an OK experience once, but if anything goes wrong they will ignore you. Go elsewhere!

Don't use them. I had a leak in the faucet. They fixed it temporarily. The leak got worse and they would not come back to fix it. No guarantee for work done.

Tried to get these people to come out and look at a sump pump problem. An hour after appointment time no one showed. Called them and was told someone was on the way. Two hours later still no one showed. Called back and the person was argumentative and displayed a rotten attitude. Said he would call me back. Never received a call back and no one ever showed up. I don't think i want these people in my house.

If there was a choice to do negative stars that's what I would choose. Came to my house 3 times and only fixed one of the three issues. On 3 trip left and caused a major leak and dida lot of damage to my dining room. Left multiple messages and after 2 weeks did not get a response. So our own insurance will go after them for the damages and also filed a disputed with local magistrate. Must unprofessional company I have ever dealt with

They came to my house the same day that I called for service. They were professional and quick. I had many questions and they answered them all! I believe I got a fair price and I highly recommend them. I wanted to put this review out there to let others now that sometimes yelp is used so many times for the less satisfactory experiences-- which unfortunately do happen when working with the public ! I'm satisfied with the work, the customer service and the price .
