My first impression of Ronnie Binkier from RDB Construction was very positive. He repaired drywall damage for me on time and with good quality, he was nice and friendly. He assured me he was a specialist in many areas, and I trusted him and hired him to do 2 jobs for the new house we just bought: to remove asbestos containing popcorn from the ceiling and repaint the house, and to do bathroom remodel. This was a nightmare. With the first job, he removed the asbestos and painted, and asked me to pay as he said it was done and he needed the money urgently. I pointed to problems in the quality of painting, and he promised to fix them simultaneously with working on the bathroom remodel, so I paid. He also took an advance (several hundred dollars) for the bathroom remodel, demolished the bathroom, completely disconnected the house from the hot water and disappeared. For 2 weeks, he promised every day to come next day to do the job and never came, then stopped responding. Our lease in the previous house ended, I extended it by 2 weeks with a penalty, and then had to move in the new house without working bathroom and hot water, with a lot of dust. After couple of days I realized that the asbestos was not removed properly, RDB contaminated the whole house and my kids started having breathing problems. We had to move out again and hire another company to decontaminate the house from asbestos; it cost us more than 2 thousand dollars. I informed Ronnie about it; he promised to reimburse me but never did. He also never returned my money for the work that was never done. He left a lot of garbage, including toxic waste, right in front of my house. We are preparing to sue RDB construction for all the damages.

Nice person but clearly not up for some basic tasks! Shoddy work and the primary task was done so poorly it became much much worse than before he started just 2 days after he finished.

He even had the nerve to say he had never 'done one of these before' even though he said it was an easy no-brainer before he started!

I'm sorry to say my family and I were a bit creeped out by his presence.

Ronnie was prompt to respond to a ceiling/ can light installation quote request. We planed to meet, but something came up on my end and we had to postpone the meeting, as well as the job. Over the phone he was very nice, understanding and professional. When we are ready for the job we'll know who to contact.

I am giving a solid 5-star review for Ronnie Binkier (RDB Construction). I found him to be knowledgeable and skilled, hardworking and dedicated. I think his work is high quality and rates are fair. I first hired Ronnie to do a repair of a deep scratch on my front door left by my moving company. A couple of handymen I contacted didn't think it was repairable, but Ronnie fixed it and had it looking as good as new after repainting. Next, my realtor came up with a seemingly long list of repairs which included electrical work, plumbing, a lot of painting, drywall, fence repair, replacing all the doorknobs, and even reviving an old non-functioning fountain, all of which needed to be done within a week before the place could be put on the market. He was able to complete the job with the help of a painting crew he hired to help out, and the house was ready to be staged, photographed and put on the market on time. I have already recommended Ronnie to a couple of friends and would recommend him highly if you need a good handyman.
