I hired them to inspect an oil heating system before closing on a home. I told the tech (Cory) I wasn't familiar with radiators or oil heat and needed a full inspection prior to closing on the home . He said everything looked fine, the oil tanks were old but in good shape, noted some obvious corrosion on the boiler and barely glanced at the radiators. The very next day after closing, a radiator started leaking. He came back, said he fixed it , that it wasn't pitched correctly but the leak continued.

After spending over $800, I had a local oil company do a FREE inspection and they immediately flagged the oil tanks as unsafe and said the boiler needs replacing. The radiator leak was from a bad valve, something RCL completely missed.

Save yourself the money and frustration and hire someone who actually knows what they're doing and won't take advantage of you.

I called RCL on Thanksgiving week as the weather was turning and my Mini-split system was not heating properly. They told me they would send a tech, but then had to cancel the day before my appointment because they had to honor their contract customers' requests first before a non- member call. They recommended GEM. This is the only reason they don't get 5 stars, because GEM Plumbing and Heating price gouged me, filled the system, which eventually failed again.
I called RCL back, signed on as a member, and had techs come out to diagnose and repair my system. So far, the system is holding strong.
The Techs were knowledgeable, professional, and courteous. I would highly recommend them!!!
Again, I would have given RCL 5 stars, but they recommended GEM, which resulted in a very expensive and ineffective service call.
To the RCL Management: Please take GEM off of your referral list!!!

We had RCL do some work for us a few days ago. I don't know what the usual charge is for what they did, so I can't comment on that. They show up when they said they would, and let's face it, these days that alone practically makes it a pleasure.

And patiently answered all of my stupid questions.

For what it's worth, RCL gets my recommendation.

The sales guy and the install people did a professional job. Their office staff, GM and owner make excuses for very poor customer service.

Oh, and they didn't pull a permit for my job. Then charged my account for the balance without permission.

They suck!

They charged $500 to walk in the door, which I paid, and then did nothing to repair the problem with my boiler. Left me without heat for several days. Had to turn off the water to keep pipes from bursting. They put an exhaust pipe on the boiler and did not even cement it into the wall. left without the boiler working. Wanted to sell me a new boiler. I called another company that came right away, cemented the pipe, repaired the boiler - it was a simple fix, removing an obstruction - charged $125.00 and had heat and working boiler that did not need to be replaced. Then RCL charged $900 to my credit card without my knowledge or permission and with no explanation for the charges.

I called RCL Mechanical after seeing a special on furnace tune-ups on Instagram, as our furnaces hadn't been serviced since they were installed with the construction of the house (13 years ago). I called and they were very helpful - the appointment was scheduled and the service technician came right on time a couple of weeks later. What I really liked about our technician (I wish his name was on the invoice!) was that he explained everything he *was* going to do and then explained what he *did* afterwards. The furnace in the basement was making a gurgling sound that I told him about, so he replaced the water pump for what I thought was a fair price. I now feel confident that our furnaces are ready for the winter.

What I also appreciated is that at no time did I feel pressured to do any extra work. For the water pump he explained what was going on, showed me the price, and it was up to me whether I wanted to go through with it or wait. I really appreciated that and I'll definitely use them again!
