Recommended Customer Reviews

I called RC Pros plumbing on a Sunday afternoon and was very pleased at their promised response. I knew it would be expensive, being after hours and a weekend, and I agreed to their $249 fee. However, when Jason called me from the property, my experience went downhill quickly. He was condescending, told me I didn't know what I was talking about (even after I told him I owned and managed 33 properties), told me the tenants had been having problems since they moved in (though this was the first I'd heard about it in two years), and told me there were no clean-outs for the property, even though I had paid to have them put in a couple of years ago. He quoted me a price of over $1400 to hydro jet the line via the roof. I asked him repeatedly to just clear the line as I was not prepared to pay that much on a Sunday night emergency call. Plus, enough of what he said didn't ring true, that I doubted his evaluation. He finally agreed to just "snake the line," but told me it would cost me $250, even though their website at the time advertised the "$89 drain clean." I told him forget it. The next day I called another contractor who cleared the line in just 10 minutes using a plumbing snake through the clean out under the kitchen window. When I called the company and asked the manager to return my call, the receptionist told me it wouldn't do me any good to ask for a refund because that is what they charge. And the manager never called me back. I will not ever call them again. I wish I had read the other reviews first!

The owner of this business refused to give his name when a problem arose with installation of toilet and his installer didn't even ask us to check to see if it was good. He just left. Overcharged tremendously for product and installation. No wonder this business has an F rating with the Better Business Bureau. We'll be filing a complaint with the state plumbing board. We found his name on the BBB website.

Recently had a plumbing issue at we one of my rentals. They determined after running a camera down the waste line that the leak was in the main water line to the house. They then quoted me $5700 to rip out and repair both the main line AND the waste line ((which they just determined was fine).
Anyway, I used a competitor and it ended up costing substantially less when they hand dug down and replaced the water pressure reducer that was leaking.
Further, I have still not received a invoice for the work they did conduct.
I would not recommend this company for plumbing work.

Scheduling and arriving great.
Was using Valpak coupon for $69 drain clean out.
Tech came out. Before trying to do ANYTHING, he was selling an $1,100 hydro clean out.
what?
Total bait & switch
Threw Tech out asap.
I called the office to complain, poor lady answering the phone couldn't even speak. Asked to have manager/owner to call me.
He did, very quickly.
(Me, not happy with the tech not even trying to do anything before up selling.... so my voice was raised with my frustration)
Owner/manager said he apologized for the tech not explaining the process well enough. I said he didn't even know if snaking it would work before he jumped to the $1,100.
I told owner/ manager that it was a bait and switch, tech didn't even try to clear first. He (owner/ manager) responded, well your not even my customer so I don't care and hung up on me.

Had a bathroom leak going on, probably something easy to fix but I'm pretty stupid when it comes to this nonsense so I did the obvious thing to find someone who could help out, I googled it.... RC Pros came up and I figured why not? I can't remember who I talked to on the phone initially, but I met Mario a short while later. Nice guy, did the work as discussed and had no issues considering the short notice. I'd have no hesitation using them again if it happens. Thanks.

I used RC Pros's services during the winter storm earlier this year. First off, this review is mostly directed towards the management of RC Plumbing, not the plumbers and technicians who came and did the work.
The workers were professional and courteous. The work they did was decent, but they were obviously stressed for time and overworked. They did not completely patch one of the pipe leaks during their first attempt, but did come back quickly the next day to finish the job. I just hoped they could wear the plastic booties more often, because a few of them tracked mud all over the house.
Now regarding the management, they were very unprofessional, dishonest, and uncommunicative. The biggest issues we had with them were with (1) what services they could provide, (2) billing, and (3) communications/scheduling.
1. I had two pipes that burst because of the winter storm: a regular pipe and a fire sprinkler pipe. I found out that not all plumbers are licensed to repair fire sprinkler pipes and we would need to hire somebody who could do that. When I called and asked RC Pros if they were licensed, they assured us that they were licensed to do these repairs and they even provided email confirmation from their management regarding their licenses. However, I still had to wait before they were ready to start on the fire sprinkler repair - over the next couple months, the receptionists over the phone justified the long wait with different reasons, alternating between that they had the license, but needed a Texas state fire marshal to authorize the repair, and that they were still trying to be licensed for the fire sprinkler repair.
In the end, after waiting for months, we were told that they did not have the license and could only offer a refund. By then other licensed local plumbers had extensive waiting lists on fire sprinkler repair, ranging from 3 to 10 months.
2. Billing seemed business as usual until my husband had to submit the invoices/receipts to my insurance agents for claims. The management initially refused to send the itemized receipts, claiming that they can simply forward it to the insurance agents directly. This was all sorts of shady, and they only relented when my husband pulled out an earlier copy of itemized invoice that they had emailed us. It was only then that we found out they've double billed us for the initial estimate on the fire sprinkler repair - over $1k charged twice, which they offered to take off one entry as refund. Had we not insisted to at least view an itemized receipt, we'd be charged an extra $1,150, which was horrendously overpriced, because the subsequent licensed plumber was able to do the repair for $260.
3. The management was responsive initially - when I or my husband called, they called back within a day or two, and scheduled workers who arrived on time. But once they completed repairs to the regular pipe leak and had no progress on the license for the fire sprinkler repair, it took multiple calls in a week with emails to get an update.
At one point we started getting residual leaks from the broken fire sprinkler head - water dripped throughout the night sporadically, when we called to scheduled for them to send someone to take a look, the management first refused, and then upon scheduling for someone to check the residual leak, the person never showed up. We called the next week and was assured that it was just a scheduling error, and the person will make another attempt to visit. It was another no show.
The sad part was that when I called their office, the receptionist was so surprised that she asked, over the phone, that if we were -sure- it was their company who missed two appointments in a row. And since my husband was calling them initially, they've stopped responding to his cell number - he'd call, got into voice mail, then I'd call, and it was picked up right away. This was a regular occurrence for the last month and half before them giving up and offered a refund.
So to sum it up - honest, hard working plumbers and workers who did their best with the time and resources they had, but the management was rife with errors and obvious miscommunication, if not outright intentional neglect.

We were quoted roughly $16000 for a reroute of our plumbing after they told us our pipes were cracked as seen on their camera. This number was absolutely earth shattering. We decided to get another opinion, and this new plumber said they had no idea how a crack could even be identified on a camera. He suggested a jetting of the pipes, and sure enough, the 42 years of gunk was the issue. We ended up paying a whopping $350 and now have good as new pipes. I am horrified to think we almost completely depleted our savings account to be completely scammed by RC Pros.

Mario was very patient, respectful and explained in detail what the issue was. Him and his crew showed up on time and did an amazing job, i Highly recommend! Thanks again!

I have used this company two times this year. Their standard Mo is to come out and diagnose the issue. Once you have agreed and they have started the repair, they "discover" additional issues and you then have to agree to pay double, or triple the original quote. On the second repair, the plumber came out and quoted the repair. He told me that they would have to demo part of the wall and floor, but not to worry "we will clean that up and fix it". Well after the repairs )which took weeks, not days as quoted, the plumber disappeared. I called Irene, the office manager numerous times. Irene continually lied, stating "we do not do repairs to the walls damaged, that is your responsibility". She refused to stand behind the words and promises of their employee, after I have spent more than $20000 with them in the last year (all a rip-off, in my opinion). The owner, Dan Jordan, refuses to return my calls even though we had numerous conversations when the initial repair was being made. Highly unprofessional and bordering on the edge of a criminal organization. VERY DISHONEST and WILL NOT FOLLOW THROUGH!! RUN FROM THIS COMPANY!

Only because you can't give zero stars! I wish I'd read the reviews before calling this company in response to their coupon in the AdPack. Thought I was getting a drain cleaning for $69 and a free camera check of the line. No, to pull a toilet and do a camera check - since this wasn't the MAIN line - cost $447.00. They also missed their first two appointment and were late for the 3rd - which I only kept because my wife had already paid them for work they hadn't yet done. Run away from this company as fast as you can.
