My navien heater stopped working and threw an error code 38. I found a nearby tankless heater guy with good yelp ratings, turns out the guy that came didn't seem to have service this brand of tankless heater before, and told me ""not sure what's wrong we'll flush the system and if it still didn't work we'll have to replace the whole heater"", like what?!. After flushing it worked for day and half before failed again. This time I'm determined not to find a noob and went to navien site to find a service specialist nearby... two of the closest ones have some spotty yelp reviews so I went with rc plumbing even though the number of reviews seem few here. Anyway I got Richard on the phone, told him the err code and he said ""yeah it's prob the flow sensor the old ones are not that good they've made some improvments"". Guy came ontime, got on navien tech support like they're BFFs and have navien register product for me in 10s and said it's still under warranty for parts and install the new sensor just with very reasonable labor cost. Unbelieveable. Now I know who to call next time my navien has problems. Trust me this guy knows navien heater.
