Writing my experience with this business so everyone can learn from my mistake.

I called Hoang to come and take a look at my fridge since it hasn't been cold for 2 days and he came within the same day. Typically his price is fairly decent, not the cheapest but not the priciest, and his estimates (diagnose time) is free so it's not a tough choice to pick him. His diagnose with the fridge is that the main board needs to be replace and it's going to cost me $340 (parts and labor). I agreed. So, he went to pick up the parts and came back and replaced it within 10 minutes and showed me that cool air is coming out but said that the whole fridge won't completely cold until 2-3 hours later. I paid him $340 and off he went.

3 hours later, fridge is still not cold. I called him and told him about it and he said to give it more time. 4PM, texted him saying that the fridge is still not cold. He responded that he'll come out tomorrow at 2PM. Tomorrow came, he called and said that he's busy with something else so he'll come out Monday. Monday morning I texted him asking when is he going to come and he responded saying that the parts take 2-5 business days. I called and ask why did he schedule for Friday and reschedule for Monday if he knew the parts was going to take that long and what did he replaced my fridge with when he initially came out? I said that if he can't do the repair then let me know and refund me the money so I can get someone who can do the job. He said that he will mail me the check.

So, it's been 5 days and not refund. I sent him a Paypal invoice that he can refund me but nothing. No responses to any of my texts and not picking up my calls which I think he blocked me. So, I decided to call him with my work phone and he picked up! when he realize who I am and what I was asking for, he hung up.

From my experience, I would stay away from this business and never give this cheater your time and money. My next action item is submitting a small claim court case against him.
