Called them Monday first thing after a plumbing issue Sunday night. Plumber came out, didn't even look at the problem and said he needed another tech and would be back that afternoon...he was not. Called them Tuesday morning and they assured me they would be out that day...they were not. Went out of town that night for business with ALL assurances they had me on the schedule for the following Tuesday once I got back. Upon my return the receptionist informed me they could not get to me until Thursday. Almost 2 weeks to address a clogged drain under my house. Called Roto Rooter and they will be here in less than 2 hours. Terrible customer service, do yourself a favor and call someone else, literally anyone else. Wish I could rate below 1 star.

Bob Hamilton came first to try and unclog the drain and somehow made it worse. They claimed there was concrete in the drain and quoted me $15,000 to replace the pipes! I called Razor Rooter and they were out within two days (we're in a polar vortex when this is happening, so understandably they will be busy). Josh was dispatched first thing in the morning to my house and cleared the pipe in just 30 minutes. He also claims that it was just roots, not cement.

Josh was very professional, showed up when he said he would, and is clearly knowledgeable about his trade. He answered all my questions simply enough for me to understand and explained the situation using analogies that helped everything make sense to me.

Overall, I am highly satisfied with the results and services provided. Josh not only cleared the pipes, but cleared the stress that came with it. I would have given 5 stars if they cleaned up the sewage, but Josh told me I can wash it back down the drain. Understandably, cleanup is not their job, but, luckily, there isn't that much to clean up in my case and it will be super easy.

Bob charged me $350, Razor Rooter was less than half that. Bob refused to come back out to finish the job, Razor Rooter warrantied the work for 90 days. Never use Bob Hamilton.

My wife called them to have our tub drain unclogged and was quoted at 130.00 for 100' snake service on drains. And extra fees for beyond that 100'. Which sounded reasonable and we were assured that most homes never really needed any extra snaking last the 100'. The guy gets here. He was a nice guy. Told me he couldn't put a snake down the drain because of the type of drain spout that was installed. (No other plumber has had a problem snaking it). So I show him the basement where everything is. He told me I should put a drain clean out so when/if he comes back, he can get to it easier and have it done in 20 min. He also told me he only had 30' of snake.......(Why tell people they get 100' of snaking but only carry 30'). So he fought eight the pipes to get them open. He gets the drain cleaned... but a ton of water all over the floor. Our basement is unfinished and we are not unfamiliar with a little standing water in the coroner after a rain but to have standing water because of pipe unclogging.

After all that. He fills out the ticket and charges an ""extra"" $100 dollars for extra effort of having to go through the pipes in the basement. Left the garage side door wide open when he left and the gate to our yard as well. Irritating because I had the dogs in the bedroom and they were barking through the door at him as he walked by. He apparently had no regard for other people's home in terms of letting all the bugs, mice and who knows what else in our house. Let alone heating and cooling.

Would not recommend this company.

Update: some of our stuff in the basement has been ruined and is being thrown away. A folding chair and Christmas ornaments primarily. Simple things to most people but when they contain memories it's still significant.

The young lady I talked to was so nice and kind and very professional, even when I called her the second time, because I was freaking out. It was yesterday, Sunday, and others I had called were rude and one even said, ""Do you know it's Sunday"". The website had said 24/7. I called her back and she hung up on me. Anyway, back to Razor Rooter. The young man who came out and very personable, very chatty. He explained what he was doing as he was working, gave my son helpful hints, just very informative. So impressed with this business.

I was so excited to see the 24 hour service on their website. I made 3 phone calls in a 24 hour period to Razor Rooter and never got a call back. A water heater is not fun to be without, so we were able to move on and get it done without them. I understand that with Covid19 things are weird, but to me it is inexcusable to not communicate with your potential customers.

I was referred to Razor Rooter by a good friend who spoke very highly of them when the Gas Company crushed a pipe on the street that caused significant flooding through the floor drain in my basement (didn't know that was cause at time, and had been told I'd have to pay a plumber to do a camera snake to prove it wasn't my fault).

They were very nice to deal with on the phone, and had a plumber available quickly. He came and removed the toilet from the floor to access the main drain to snake, replaced the toilet, then snaked the floor drain (he did not have a camera with him). He could not identify the problem, and told me a supervisor would be out in the morning with a camera unit.

After he left, I noticed the toilet was now flooding through the floor around the pipe in the basement, and adding water to the already serious flooding. I called the company back and explained I was concerned about the new problem, and inquired whether they knew if their guy had replaced the gasket for the toilet. They initially said he may not have had one, then had the guy call me. This guy, Josh. very.clearly. said that of course he had replaced the gasket, and it must be pressure from the line that blew the new one out. He also said there was nothing he could do, it wouldn't cause any more damage than was already there, and the supervisor could look at it in the morning.

HE LIED.

When they came in the morning and removed the toilet, the old gasket was still in place. The guy who came said the first guy probably didn't want to come back, and left it to him to deal with that morning.

When I spoke to the supervisor shortly after that, he was initially appropriate. Then he felt the need to tell me that the first guy had worked there for seven years and never had a complaint, so he was surprised to hear one now. He paused, and then said... Not to say I don't believe what you are saying, but...

To be fair. They decided that they wouldn't charge me for replacing the gasket.

They didn't offer to help with the water damage to the basement ceiling where it pooled and flooded.

The second guy was great, and did fix the problem with a new gasket.

I don't appreciate the implication from the supervisor that I might have been lying. Especially when I still had possession of the old gasket from that morning.

If this company accepts as standard practice that some of their employees lie, that's not okay. I hope they did something to address it, but can't say that for sure.

We would not recommend this company to anyone. They charged us $55 for an unnecessary service and refuse to take the charge off. Mind you, this is during a global pandemic when most don't have an extra $55 to waste. We had a service tech come to our home to unclog our main line. He couldn't find the main line drain, so he charged us to pull the toilet out. We had a real plumber out shortly after Razor Rooter and he immediately found the drain in our garage, which is apparently a pretty common place for one of these. After their ""plumber"" left, none of our issues were resolved. I wish I would've taken the time to read all of their reviews. It seems odd they are either really good or really bad. Our final bill was over $200 and they did NOT come out the same day or provide the prices or service these other reviews mention.

Plumber ran auger and told me that the main sewer line was broken so he couldn't clear it. So, I called a company called The Bearded Plumber to come out and dig up the sewer line to replace. He was nice enough to run the camera down the drain to make sure it was really a broken pipe. It was not a broken pipe and so he ran the auger and cleared it no problem. I asked Razor Rooter if they'd refund my fee since they were wrong and didn't clear my drain and they said ""no."" So I paid them but I won't use them again for my 60+ rental houses.

Razor Rooter also busted out a bathtub drain at another rental house I own. I think they used to be a good company but as of recently, I have not been happy.

Our kitchen sink quit draining on a Sunday morning. Beginning Monday I began looking for a plumber after all my attempts to fix it failed. After calling two other companies and having them call and want to reschedule for the next day at the time they were supposed to be at my house, I called Razor Rooter. They showed up on time, were quick, clean, courteous, helped me understand what happened, why it happened, and how to prevent it from happening again. From now on, they will be the only ones I call!

Justin was awesome. I called mid afternoon today...he came about 6:30, no extra fee for after hours since I called during day. $126 dollars to snake my kitchen sink that was backing up into bathroom sink. Plus he found a ring I needed under bathroom sink and added that for free...and wondered why my toilet was running, so he opens tank and bent the metal arm in place. $10 bucks off for having the magnet. He explained everything he was doing and was nice and neat. Thanks!
