We have used Ray's Plumbing several times in our home. Each time was a great experience. They were timely, courteous, efficient and their work was spot on! We recently lost water due to a failed well pump (it was 36 years old), they came out right away and had us restored within hours. We greatly appreciate their service.
We've had a slow leak in the shower for a while and called Ray's - which we've been using for decades. The problem was more severe than a leak, the entire valve assembly behind the wall needed replacing. The job was done quickly and we are ecstatic about the results. I highly recommend Ray's Plumbing.
Sometimes cheaper doesn't necessary mean better quality. We've had Rays come out a few times. They're cheaper than their competitors, however they use cheaper parts. We've had multiple issues with Rays since we've had them come out and install a new garbage disposal despite a 10 year warranty, you still have to spend money for the service call. We had them come service us out in Adamstown. We had another issue that needed fixing with something else in the house and they said they had the wrong part and be back another day. They came the following day and said, oops have the wrong part again, sorry can't help anymore. I recommend you find a more well known and slight more expensive plumbing service or you could end up like us.
We have used their services multiple times and are very satisfied customers. We recently called them to fix a ""botched"" plumbing service from another company. The repairman from Ray's was perplexed by the poor job, but never once criticized their workmanship. I think this says a lot about their business etiquette.
Danielle Dwayne F.I will never have Rays at my home again. They came out to fix a broken pipe in my yard. The owner Mr Mel Zimmerman and his son came to do the work, we told them it was up to them what they did outside but to enter our house to do work they would need to wear a mask for safety with covid going around we were doing everything we could to protect our family because we have someone immune compromised in our home, he said nothing about this being a issue for him he even went as far as saying he understood as one of his sons had been tested positive a few weeks before. When he went into the house he entered with out a mask and when told again to put one on he stood there arguing about it refusing to put one on. Only after i had the police show up did he comply with wearing a mask. Please keep your family safe and pick another plumber who has respect for other peoples health.
I dealt with Ray's Plumbing a couple of times and have had poor customer service with one of the receptionists multiple times.
The plumbers are good people and do a good job, but can't deal with the receptionist.
2-13-18 Working on a child size toilet installed in 1975 at our church this non standard piece of work posed parts problems that my local hardware store could not handle. Ray's had what I needed. Service was phenomenal. The owner searched the back room and got the parts I needed and for $10 I was on my way. It's a little bit out of the way but I always enjoy going there for the service and parts. Great people.
