Webb in Coral Gables, Florida, the company moved to Charlotte County to collaborate with the Mackle Bros. on residential and commercial projects in Port Charlotte. In 1991, after eleven years of service, Dave Burnett took ownership of the company. In 2005, after Hurricane Charlie caused major damage, the company moved to a new 3000 square foot facility in Punta Gorda. Ted Steele purchased the company in 2013, opening a new location in Englewood, FL, and broadening Ray's Plumbing's service area to cover Sarasota County. Ray's Plumbing, now known as Ray's Complete Plumbing, also provides air conditioning services through its sister company, Kobie Complete Heating & Cooling, Inc..

Their 24 hour availability is great. Out water heater was replaced quickly and expertly when it decided to blow on a weekend evening. The PRICE was worth the rapid response. Great job Kyle

My water heater crapped out late on a Saturday night (9/30/23). I waited until Monday morning and called Ray's around 8:15am & by 11:30am we had a new water heater installed and plenty of hot water. Mike came out and he was great. Friendly, personable, and explained everything he needed to do and got to work. I highly recommend Ray's Plumbing!

Bob quoted $400 -$500 to replace 2 3/4"""" Ball Valves on a Water Heater. The first appointment he called the morning of and cancelled, he made an appointment three days later and cancelled that morning as well, he then made another appointment for the following Friday, no one called or showed up. I called Bob back he rescheduled for Tuesday morning, the plumber finally showed up and replaced the 2 Ball Valves. Around $50 in materials and 2 1/2 hours of labor. Suddenly they charge my 88 year old Mother $610.00. I called Bob to discuss the new charge after having been quoted the figure of $400 - $500 which I agreed to. Bob told me that hourly rate was $150. He couldn't explain the charges and became somewhat caustic on the phone. I have a real estate portfolio in Michigan and deal with Plumbing Companies weekly. The Plumber told my Mother that they use to have 7 Plumbers and now only have 2. Bob must be consistent on how he treats employees as well as customers.

I had seen Rays Plumbing trucks around Port Charlotte. Needed a wax ring replaced. 4 year old toilet and tile floor. Called Rays. A plumber came out, nice enough guy. Arrived at 10:40 and left at 11:00. 20 minutes. $254.75. That works out to $764.50 AN HOUR. He pulled the old ring and put down the new one. No clean up. New ring over old gunk. Set toilet back down, slightly off center, on old caulking. Took me a few hours to clean the floor around the toilet base. I took pictures. This is a situation of never again.

Needed to replace my garbage disposal. Ray's came right over the next morning I called, and install went well: However, I think they were way over priced for the job. Big mark-up on the badger disposal.

I bought a house in Port Charlotte that had, had a water leak in the under the slab plumbing. The previous home owner said he had called Ray's Plumbing to find the leak and later to re plumb the water supply lines to a over head system. After I purchased the house, upon closer inspection and while replacing some water faucets. I noticed just what a trouble job Ray's had done. Nearly everyone one of the replaced PVC water supply lines ended up coming out of the walls crooked or off to one side or the other. Looked like a drunk had plumbed the house! I never did hear anything good about Ray's Plumbing. Just over priced and shoddy work. I would past on Ray's for your plumbing jobs.

Called Ray's Plumbing at 9a.m. Sat morning for an emergency leak in the ceiling, spoke with a less than friendly female who told me to take her off speaker phone - I did not have her on speaker phone so I started speaking louder, slowe r and enunciated each word, she impatiently told me she would take a msg and have someone call me back - nothing - no one from Ray's Plumbing ever gave the courtesy of a call back - Called another local plumber after waiting for 1 hour for Ray's to call back to no avail, the other company was very friendly, they came right out and fixed our problem - Ray's obviously does not need anyones business or maybe they might consider getting another answering service.

Someone keeps voting this company #1 and I suspect it's the staff at Ray's. I've used their service on three occasions for plumbing work at my rental properties. One tech was extremely elderly and had a tough time bending and working on a faucet replacement but, not a big deal. The next two, well someone needs to tell them to stop talking. Especially when it's on your dime. A plumber's trick seems to be to perform a simple cleanout and then talk your ear off - not good if it's an hourly rate. My last experience was the worst. Tired of the high prices, I used a handyman to clear a severe clog caused by a tenant witnessed by the amount of paper towels, hair, etc that was dragged out of the drain pipes. But the handyman did not have the proper equipment to reach far enough to complete the job. Called Ray's and the responding tech had to run the line twice to get through the plug which reached to the street. Then of course he began his long-winded explanation, history of plumbing and blah blah blah. Having heard enough, I asked him to stop talking and listen to the customer. I, as always, had left explicit instructions with their dispatcher who assured me the instructions were relayed to the staff, not to discuss any of the details with the tenant. Evidently, Carl's feelings were hurt because on his way out he said to my tenant """"by the way, none of this is your fault"""". The tenant of course promptly relayed this to me and has refused to pay any of the exorbitant $400 bill from Ray's. The information he relayed was incorrect, and a devious attempt to sabotage me. That is the quality of the staff at Ray's. Oh the boss said Carl denied saying that. Did you expect him to be honest? Send that bag of hot air packin'! So property managers, if you're looking for a professional company, skip this one. I will most assuredly use another service.
