On March 1st, Ray's Complete Plumbing marked its 61st anniversary of delivering prompt and affordable plumbing services to Charlotte and nearby counties. Founded in 1957 by Raymond A. Webb in Coral Gables, Florida, the business relocated to Charlotte County to partner with the Mackle Bros. for new construction and service in Port Charlotte. Dave Burnett purchased the company in 1991 after working there for eleven years. In 2005, the company faced substantial damage from Hurricane Charlie and moved to a new 3000 square foot office and warehouse in Punta Gorda. Ted Steele purchased the company in 2013, establishing a new location in Englewood, FL, and expanding Ray's Plumbing's reach to Sarasota County. Ray's Complete Plumbing, as it is now called, also delivers air conditioning services through its sister company, Kobie Complete Heating & Cooling, Inc..

Since 2002, Ted Steele has owned Kobie Complete Heating & Cooling, Inc. and expanded into plumbing by purchasing Ray's Complete Plumbing in 2013. He continues to uphold the company's strong reputation and has broadened Ray's service area to encompass all of Sarasota County.
