Kristin S.UPDATE: They called right away and my husband said they seemed genuinely sorry and that it was a misunderstanding. I still think it's BS that they would do any work without giving an estimate first but at least the customer service was decent. They offered to refund but since they did the work we don't feel right taking the refund. We just would have appreciated being asked for approval to do the work in the first place.
We asked Rays and Sons to come out for an estimate. They came out. Said they'd be back in a week. In that time we NEVER got an estimate so we thought they were coming back to look into it further/troubleshoot a problem and then give an estimate. Nope. They came back out (again, never gave an estimate), did some minor work that looked more like troubleshooting to find out what the work was going to be and then give an estimate. Instead we were hit with a $400 bill for barely any work! Absolutely ridiculous. No way in hell we will ever use them again. This is the second time we've called them for something. The first time seemed pricey but it was work we needed done immediately and didn't have time to look around for a better option. Listen to me when I say take the time and find someone else!
Slemmin S.Bought a wifi thermostat and couldn't get it powered up due to furnace wiring. Called Rays and they offered to get it done next day at very reasonable price.
Dwayne was punctual, cordial, and precise. Rewired furnace and had it running in fifteen minutes.

Erik F.Needed an electrician to fix a problem with the circuit breaker for the water heater in one of my rental properties. I called Ray's and was pleased to get an appointment the next morning between 8:00 and 8:15. The electricians showed up right on time and acted professional. They located the problem quickly and made the repair. Seems to have fixed the problem. The price was reasonable, on par with what other electricians and plumbers charge in the area. I will call Ray's & Sons again when I need an electrician or a plumber. I've also used Ray's & Sons previously and I've always been satisfied with the service.
