I recently moved to a home that has well water. A few months after moving in, we noticed our water was becoming very hard with majorly unpleasant side effects. Our well water is so hard it leaves your skin with welts, the dishwasher doesn't clean dishes very well, our clothes weren't getting clean in the wash, our water heater started making loud popping sounds due to all the sediment, our shower head was getting clogged etc and this was all in a matter of months! I can't imagine living with water this hard all year round, I'd go nuts! Seriously unbearable.
Luckily our home had a water softener system previously installed by Rayne Water. But unfortunately the previous homeowner didn't leave me any instructions on how to use or maintain the water softener system and I had no clue what to do to get it working (turns out it just needed salt)! So I called Rayne Water Monterey and spoke to Stephanie who was happy to help.
Stephanie arranged to have a technician visit my home (I forgot his name, sorry! But he was very friendly and knowledgeable). He showed me the ins and outs of our water softener system, explained how to add salt crystals or potassium chloride (and he explained the difference between the two). I am now a water softener expert haha ;)
My family is so grateful to have soft water again!! If you need a water softener system, I would recommend Rayne Water. Stephanie, the propieter, was always friendly with me on the phone. It seems she runs the majority of the business herself so it may take her longer to get back to you if you call and leave a message. However she always called me back she and followed through on her promises, and that's what matters.

Absolutely the worst after sale service.
The office manager Stephanie is rude - never return their phone calls - never follow up on when they tell you they will come to service systems they installed.
It is a one man operation.
Sell, collect your money and forget is their approach!!
Avoid them like plague!!!
I had Culligan before and was never disappointed!

Would give this business a negative zero if there was such a thing!!! Their so called reverse osmosis system backfired and destroyed the whole plumbing to my house. I didn't have running water for days until they finally decides to show up! BUT WAIT FOR IT... HERES THE KICKER... 2 weeks later I got a bill in the mail for almost a thousand dollars! UNBELIEVABLE!!!

We had the BEST experience with every single person we dealt with at this company!! Living in carmel (the water is awful here!) so after my husband did his ""research"" we went with rayne.
The response time..the effort..the follow up!...all beyond 5star!! If you need ""softer water"" look no further!!!

Go local whenever you can! I have an innate distrust of companies I need to hire for my home needs. Rayne Water has met and exceeded my needs. I recently had them install a water softening system. The quote I got was nearly 1/2 of what one of the Big Box stores and the product and install was no different. Two days ago I discovered there was a leak in the pipes part of the system. It turned out the problem was with part of the existing plumbing failing. The plumber came out as quickly as possible and repaired for no cost. It was a small fix, fortunately, and did not take long, but when you have a company with that much integrity and excellent customer support, you support them! You have hard water that is ruining your appliances, plumbing and fixtures. Call Rayne Water. You will not regret it.

We first called these guys to help us with our farmhouse sink that we were trying to install in our home last year. Long story short, we couldn't find anyone willing to help us adjust our plumbing before our contractor could install our sink and countertops. I searched on one of those household repair sites and they were the first to get back to me and they were willing to come out right away. My timeline was a little crazy as I was trying to schedule their repairs before the sink and countertop installation AND I was trying to do all this before I had my baby which was due that week, if I remember correctly. They have an awesome lady at their office answering phones, Stephanie, who always answered all my questions and kept me in the loop on arrival times, etc. They did the job I needed done that no one else seemed to be willing to do at the time.
I called again this past October when we were in the middle of selling our house and our water heater decided to poop out on us. They came that day to check it out, and replaced it by the next day. Couldn't have asked for more helpful, personable service. They even remembered me from last time. Guess it's hard to forget the determined, nesting, pregnant lady trying to get last minute repairs done on her house!
Rick was there both times to oversee the work being done. I wish I knew the other guy's name, he was always working hard and kept me informed on what was going on, which I greatly appreciated. Thanks guys! You saved us twice!

Rick is awesome. Came to my mother's house a few weeks back and repaired the water softener within the hour and for a good price. Totally recommend him.

Rick and his team are awesome. Very easy to work with, find address and correct problems very quickly and at a reasonable price. Our home was built in 1953, we've had some issues and Rick has taken care of them all, never rushes and has always stuck around to explain things to my wife and I.

Watch out when wanting to use these guys. I have contacted them at least 4 times. We have bacteria known in our system have asked several times to come out and in the last month never seen them other than to send a plumber who had a lack of communication skills so we have no idea what's going on. There are 3 adults and 2 babies that have all been sick off and on so my next step is calling in a real professional to check out this system and to see if we are affected by the bacteria due to their inability to answer one question "" have you flushed the hot water tank since we discovered ecoli"".... totally unprofessional

Plumbing? I've been trying to a ding-dang plumber, or a handyman, to even call BACK for the past 3 weeks to no avail.
We have multiple properties and need a good plumber, often.
Rayne connected immediately, set up convenient appoint. They were exactly on TIME (I swear this is true) and the reverse osmosis and plumbing job I have been sweating took them 15 minutes. BOOM!
I explained the issue on the phone and the fellow brought all the correct tools, which included a bicycle pump. Yes, the Rayne Man had a bicycle pump with him. No running back to fetch a thing. He knew exactly what he needed.
However, the guy switched ON something that was evidently OFF that had nothing to do with Reverse Osmosis. The house silently flooded. The tenants weren't home for 3 days, $7,000.00 in water damage.
Rayne made it rain, refuses to admit this is their fault AND expects me to pay the visit bill in full.
Is there a plumber in the Monterey Bay?
