Horrible system & customer service. Although I had been looking into purchasing our water filtration system from another supplier, Donnie talked my husband into Rayne. He was car salesman slick and had us both convinced this was the better system. That our hard water problems would be solved. We would just have to wipe the fine white away, that nothing would corrode or stay. FALSE!

We recently had done extensive remodeling on our home, even adding new appliances and fixtures. Everything is covered with serious white hard water spots and corrosion. Our dishwasher, which is only a year old, has to be serviced to get the build-up removed. Even my countertops, although we wipe them down continually, have to be scrubbed with Pink and that doesn't even solve the build-up hard water problem. It's almost worse with the filtration that before.
We've called multiple times, emailed, left messages, etc...The most we've been told is that someone will get back to us. We've even asked if there was an additional system to add that would help. We have yet to have anyone reach back out to us. Now, all we want is our money back and for them to remove the system so we can go with LifeSource. Whose ratings and referrals are better.

Buyer beware. The follow through and promises from this company are false.

We had a Rayne reverse osmosis system under the kitchen sink for a couple of decades. When we replaced the kitchen counters and sink, we decided to try a different type of water filter which was top-rated by Wirecutter and Amazon. While it was inexpensive and easy to self install, the water tasted awful and it left mineral deposits in our countertop hot water pot. So we bit the bullet and went back to Rayne.
Don Echols, the consultant, was easy to talk with and very helpful. Once we made the decision, the installation went quickly and smoothly. The newer RO system doesn't take up quite as much space under the sink as the old one. The water tastes great. No deposits in our hot water heater. All in all, it was worth it to get a great system, pay someone to do the installation, and enjoy the peace of mind of a very long warranty.

Purchased a water conditioning unit a several years ago -- it was installed outdoors per recommendation of the technician. fast forward 5 years and i can't read the display anymore -- it has clouded due to exposure to the elements.

i was recently sent a ""blue card"" to get a discount on a service maintenance for my unit. i called and made an appointment. on the day of this first appointment date, the technician never showed up. when i called, they said they didn't have my appointment in their system, so i made another appointment at that time.

on the second appointment date, again, the technician never showed up. i called again and they said they didn't see my appointment in their system, so i made a third appointment. they assured me i would be the first one that day. They again never showed up. I called them several times, both the day prior (to confirm that i was still on their schedule) and after they didn't show up on the day of -- no one ever answered or returned my voice mail :(

Rayne of San Jose supplied me a Pentair water softener rebranded as a Rayne. This is not unusual in the business. However they will not honor the Pentair OEM warranty. Pentair warranties their control valves for 5 years but Rayne limits their warranty on the same parts to 1 year.

After my initial installation failed due to a broken control valve, the replaced parts lasted 2 years and failed again. If I had purchased from a plumber, they would have honored the OEM warranty. But Rayne charged parts and labor for replacing the failed control valve.

Parts were not too expensive, but buyer beware - Raynes labor charge is $195/hour minimum which is also not covered by warranty. And good luck with transparency. The Rayne installer provided no receipt or invoice, no warranty, and no owners manual. It took extended personal research to get any of this information on my own.

Boy, did Rayne send me a fantastic serviceman. Arthur showed up on time, clean, friendly, and he knew his job. Got right to it, and I believe he went the extra mile. Arthur ran into a small glitch, probably did not have to correct, I would not of known, but he said shorting the customer was not his work ethic. I like that in a serviceman. Thank you Rayne for hiring quality people. That is why you have been in business for so many decades. Thank you Arthur.
