They will charge you $150 just to tell you what's wrong with your system but not actually fix or replace it. Insane. Most places will put the service charge toward any work that needs to be done, but not this place.
Recently switched our R.O. System from Culligan to Rayne Water and we are so very happy we did!
The technician was right on time for the appointment. He thoroughly explained everything about the system and the work he did.
The water actually tastes even better than our previous system. It almost has a slight ""sweet"" taste to it.
There used to be a water store years ago (remember when we all had to take empty bottles of water to stores to be filled up?) called Sweet Water and the water from our new Rayne system reminds me of that. Love it!
Steve S.Wowzers...........What a difference. I have been with a National competitor of Rayne's (who will remain unnamed) for about 5 years. I purchased their unit outright & it worked as advertised for the first year or two. After that, I had nothing but problems and when I'd ask for help - they'd send a technician out & NEVER fixed the problem. We have had hard water for pretty close to 3 years even though we had a ""solution"" in the garage. I recently complained to a regional manager who also could not solve my problem. ****Rayne to the rescue.........I should have known. My father had a Rayne unit in my childhood home in Cupertino. Pops is long gone but as the saying goes ""Father knows best"". I only wish I'd have switched sooner. Angie was attentive, and understanding during this once in a lifetime ""Shelter in Place"" event. The Rayne tech followed all of the social distancing rules. He had a minor problem during install but called another nearby tech for assistance & Voila!! We have a brand new softener that actually works!! Our fine crystal wine glasses and shower doors may never recover - though my wife is using her internet skills to try and come up with a solution. Rayne, I'll never look elsewhere again! Thank you!
Sarah M.Rayne was recommended for our water softener repair. The technician and three office people I spoke with ended up being unreliable. The staff was confused as to who was to order parts, didn't call when they said they would to update me on the status of things, did not order parts needed and did not show up for the repair on the day promised.
This review is based on the customer service or lack of and not the actually equipment. We have been RAYNE customers for many years. We rent a water softener for a fee of $42 a month. This price has gone up every year but the equipment has stayed the same. There has been no service/maintenance/upgrade of equipment. Not sure if they offer salt delivery but we take care of it on our own. I hear from RAYNE every 2-4 months when they call to say we are ""behind"" on our payments. On 3 occasions now, my husband and I have been told we owe for back rent. For each of these instances I have had to either fax my bank statements or email them the payment confirmation emails they sent me to show we were current. It's not just that it was a hassle, it seemed as if they were quite unorganized and unprofessional.
About two months ago when this happened again, I sent them an email voicing my concerns. I never received a reply! But boy are they quick to call or email (or both) when they are trying to tell you that you're behind on payments! I emailed again today but I am not very optimistic I will hear back. It's probably way overdue that we leave RAYNE and move onto a different company. There are many options out there that offer upgraded equipment and other bonuses for less than we pay. I guess we are the suckers in this situation! I would not recommend RAYNE to anyone looking for rental services as that is all I have experience with.
High deliveryman turnover causes inconsistency of service which is an issue if you need to know when they arrivThe tanks and infrastructure have worked for many years without any problems.
A year and a half later and the delivery service remains sub par. Missed scheduled dates is the main issue.
Tom M.Very strange thing happened today. Called Rayne for service on my water softener. Tech came out and tried to start a regeneration by pressing the ""program"" button when a ""cycle"" button was right next to it. Told me since my softener was not starting a regeneration, it was broken and could not be fixed - I'd need a whole new system. I paid him what he asked for nothing and after he left, started a regeneration cycle. It's running now. Also checked the manual to see if you could start a regen the way he suggested. You cannot.
Not sure if he was instructed to sell a new system since mine is sort of old, or if he just didn't know how this ""Rayne"" water softener worked, but in any event, I was shocked.
Needless to say, I'm having another company out. That's all I have to say.
Anthony came and promptly installed a new water softener and hauled the old one away
He was punctual and efficient
I highly recommend this company for all things related to water purification
I do not get on the social media much at all. But I felt this had to be said. I have been a client of Rayne for over 10 years. I have a water softener system from them and they have done a great job whenever they have come out to service it.
I just called to get info on a reverse osmosis system and David Silver took care of me. He was very professional and knowledgeable. I was impressed by how quick I was scheduled to install the system. I will and do refer them to my friends and family. Even strangers if it comes up.
Thank you Rayne Water especially David.

I never do reviews because I simply don't have the time, but this company is so ricidulous I felt compelled to take the time. Foolishly I have been a Rayne Water customer for over 15 years, never really paying attention to what I was getting for the money I was paying. The fact is they charge $30/mo. to ""service"" the system. What this means is they do absolutely nothing, they do stop by once a month to simply add salt which they charge you for at about triple the rate you can buy it for at Home Depot. The unit itself had never been touched in the 15 years is was installed. When I had a third party plumber take a look at it was filthy and clogged and barely worked.
The $30/mo. is also consider rental for the unit. This is also ludicrous, because the equipment is a cheap version of what you can purchase for between $600 - $800 for a brand new system and own it outright. Thus, over the 15 years I have spent $5400 on a system I could have bought for $600 and I have spent triple on the cost of salt.
The most irritating thing about this company, and what caused me to look into what I was getting for what I was paying, is the fact that had not added salt or serviced the unit for over 18 months because the new renter of my house had never left the side door unlocked. Instead of notifying me of the situation, they simply continued to stop by each month and turn away when the door was locked, and also continued to bill for a system that was not being ""serviced"" for the entire time.
For what they charge you in just 1 year you can own an entire system.
