I am a member of a local volunteer group that helps to feed people in need. A local emergency shelter for women and children allows our group to provide a dinner once a month for the women and kids that are living there. A sink needed repair so I contacted Rayne Plumbing and left a message with the owner.
He got back to me as soon as it was possible and offered his companies time and expense immediately. He was in fact better at returning phone calls than either myself or the shelter. Rayne Plumbing and Sewer Service, Inc. is a fine asset to the community and cares about the welfare of people. Rayne Plumbing does excellent work and it is not possible to find a better Plumbing company anywhere.

I originally contacted Rayne plumbing when my toilet started backing up into the shower. Ryane wasn't actually able to come out and do any work for me since I am a renter and it required the owner to be present/approve the work (company policy). I explained to the tech what the situation was: raw sewage was spewing out and I have a newborn and it wasn't a healthy environment for anyone involved. Although he wasn't able to perform the work he was so bothered by it, he called me back several times to give me referrals to different companies and he talked to the owner to see if they can change their policy. In an age when customer service is mostly dead, Rayne Plumbing delivered and they will be one of the first people I call when I have plumbing problems in the future.

My tenant informed me in the late in after noon of 4/16/14 that the home basement water heater spring leaks and sprayed water under the house and basement floor and he immediately shut the main water supply to stop the water leak. I called Rayne Plumbing and they said they could be out between 1 and 5pm on 4/17/14. Bill arrived the next day at 2pm and did a great job in repair the leaks in 2 hrs. He was pleasant well mannered and cleaned up after his repairs. I called two other plumbing services and Rayne was the only one how could come out the soonest. I wanted to make sure my tenants had hot water as soon as possible.

Bill from Rayne Plumbing did a fantastic job on two faucet problems. He fixed the faucets, fixed the blockages quickly so the price would not go up. He trouble shot one faucet which really was not designed to fit the area so that it functioned much better. I highly recommend this service--and ask for Bill; He's a class act.

I had Rayne install a new gas line in December. Their quote was inline with the other two quotes I received. It was very, very detailed--something I really appreciate. When I called them up to ask about a line item, they were very good in explaining what it was.

Two men showed up within the allotted time and got the job done in one day (as they said they would). I found them to be professional and courteous.

I will use them again.

My apartment management called them out to my apartment to fix a leaky shower faucet. They were great about scheduling the appointment and called me a couple times to check when they could come by. When the time was scheduled, they showed up right on time and did an excellent job. Keven was completely professional and really knew what he was doing. The faucet has no leaks whatsoever and the new one look great too! Thanks!

I have used Rayne Plumbing for a lot of emergency jobs. They are very responsive and do great work. I would highly recommened Rayne for any plumbing work. We have a lot of units and tenants that need help and they has been very great to work with.

I hired this company recently to come out and give me an estimate to replace a back flow valve that went faulty. James came out to give us the estimate. He was professional, friendly and explained everything thoroughly. He stated that it would take him about 45 minutes to complete the repair. We were charged $100.00 for the estimate (we were not told about this charge when we called and every other plumber I have spoke to said the estimate should be free and that Rayne should refund us because we were not told that they operate outside of the standard of business).

Later that day, we received the estimate for the service. The estimate stated that it would take 3-4 hours for the repair. This is a huge difference from what the actual plumber told us. Additionally, the part that needed to be replaced was priced at twice the price (not the wholesale price Rayne would pay) we were able to find it for at a local plumbing supply store and online stores.

In the end, I hired another plumber. The repair took 45 minutes to complete.

The ONLY reason this place gets the second star is because James was so professional, friendly and knowledgeable.

If you want to be over-charged for parts and labor, as well as have to pay the outrageous price for an estimate, this is your company.

As for me, I have no intention of ever calling them again. I would rather pay a fair price for good service.

UPDATE.

Regarding the response I received over two years later..... I understand that there is a mark up for parts. However, to charge hundreds over RETAIL, not WHOLESALE is not the norm. Additionally, to quote 3-4 hours for a small job that actually took 45 minutes is ridiculous.

Regarding the charging for the estimate, review your files before stating you didn't. I have the cancelled check to prove it. Other companies stated this should have been refunded since I was not told in advance about the charge. I was never refunded. Your books should show this if you review them.

And James DID do our estimate. It is not my job to know whether or not he is qualified and allowed to do the estimates. He was disbatched by your company to do the estimate and did do the estimate. Again, you should be able to look back in your files and confirm that.

Rayne has been servicing our aging home plumbing system for 3 years now. We called them out yesterday for a clogged kitchen sink. The tech showed my wife a trick on how to clear the drain. She is real picky - and she was real happy with them again. Well worth the $ 100.

In our line of work we need to refer plumbers often. Rayne is our #1 plumber because they are punctual, have great pricing and provide great customer service. they are'nt diamond certified for nothing. Dont know what happened with the gentlemen below with the outrageous quote deal but that employee was porbably weeded out quickly as we haven't had any problems like that.
