Save a call to above. They sent a boy who was totally incompetent. Charged $400+ to not find out the problem.

Victoria was VERY helpful on the phone and got Daniel, a plumber over to us within two hours. We had a drain clog that he cleared out and checked at the clean out outside. Very knowledgeable. We caught a good break with a promotion that they are running $69 which includes once a year drain clog clean out and two toilet assembly replacements. Thank you Victoria for turning us on to your promotion!!

Formally Ray Duncan plumbing and now Ray Duncan Plumbing Today. If I could give them a zero I would. We used them in the past and are being billed for work done in 2016. We have proof we paid and are now, after two years, receiving a final notice we didn't pay. They can't do plumbing and keep their bookkeeping straight. My guess is they are totally disorganized and feel as though they are trying to see if we will pay again and make some extra money. The first call I received asked if I would like to put the payment of over $2000 on my credit card. I have proof I paid in 2016 and have emailed to them. Problem finally resolved. Do not recommend.

Ray Duncan has sold his business and the new owners have a new business model...rip off the customer by paying their technicians a commission! I used Ray Duncan for 20 years but I will never call this company again! I needed a 5 year old water heater under warranty to be replace. When the technician came out he quoted me $400 more on his estimate than I wound up paying another company to do the same job! Really? Then he tried to talk me into replumbing the entire house for $6000 just because """"it is 40 years old and pipes might start leaking""""! Ridiculous! If you have """"fool"""" written on your face and like being ripped off call them or do your research and find another company to get the job done!

I recently contracted with Ray Duncan Plumbing to replace the stopper in my bathroom sink. The first plumber they sent out did not complete the job (although he said he did) and they were paid. They sent 2 other plumbers the next day to complete the job. The first plumber quit the day after he was at my home. A few days later when I realized that $900 had been stolen from the closet across from the sink I called Ray Duncan. The """"investigator"""" who called told me that he was experienced and would pursue it. After a week of me having to call him for updates he told me that Ray Duncan had implicit trust in the two plumbers who showed up on the second day. The first worker (who had quit) was not answering the telephone or returning the investigator's calls. As a result of this investigation, it was suggested that I report it to the police because their investigation was complete. Unbelievable! If you hire these people either lock up any valuables or keep your eye on them at all times. I thought I hired an honest legitimate company and although I was in the apartment the whole time I did not sit in the room to watch him. There are too many plumbers available for me to ever consider using these people again. Rich N.

I had a leak under my mobile home and called Ray Duncan Plumbing. They sent a tech who took over three hours to tell me he could not repair the problem. The end result was an invoice of over $300 and I still had a leak under my mobile home. I was upset and called the company, who told me that to properly repair the leak, they would have to completely re-plumb the entire mobile home at a cost of $2500. I then called a different company. They sent a tech who had the leak properly repaired in just over an hour at a cost of $150.

Terrible service and incompetent staff. I had a representative come out to my one bathroom house for a bathtub drain issue. I was given a $4000 quote and told it would take about 2 days starting the next day. Being it was going to start the next day I agreed, I was later called and told it would have to go to their projects department so would not start till Monday morning. They came out Monday worked for a couple hours then had to come out Tuesday to put the actual piping in. At that time he said he needs to have the inspection done. Come to find out that the first guy did not complete the proper paperwork so the permit was not pulled until that day, now a week after I agreed to have it done. They finally get an inspection scheduled for Friday and told me I would get a call from inspector 30 minutes before he got there so I could let him in. I never heard from the inspector and after calling the City of Tampa permitting office found out that you have to call the inspector in the morning of inspection and that the plumbing companies know this. I had to ask for another inspection for the following day. I finally spoke to another person in their office in the late afternoon after multiple calls as you cannot speak to a manager because they have no direct line, and at that point she asked if anyone called the city for a reinspection. I had but once again they failed at there job. At this point I have not been able to stay in my home for at least 7 additional days because of there employees incompetence. They also pulled the wrong permit and the inspector was good enough to change it as to not have to pull another one. Their way to compensate is to give a 5% discount a whopping $200. They do not respond. I've asked to speak yo a manger at least 5 times but none has called. The first two days of work could have been in one. Their trucks say Plumbing Today but 2 weeks later.

Had them out to install a new Hot Water Heater. When they came I asked for an itemized list of what they were doing for $1200. They were confused. I said-like how did they come to that amount-how much is the Hot water Tank, the new Pan, the Alarm, - you said I needed a new shut-off - what is the cost of these? He said they """"don't do written"""". I asked how did you come to that amount for mine? He says that's """"what they always come to"""". I want to know prices. He told me MY tank came right from the SHOP-better than Loew's! Also $100 more than Loew's for same tank! The Alarm runs from $18-$24, he told me $48. So they were upset and called their Boss. I heard them say that """"the lady wants something in writing"""". He came in and scratched ..hotwater tank..alarm..few other things.. 2 works...permit...$1200. I said fine. I was OVERCHARGED! When they were finished they took off the $50 coupon they had on-line and told me I had a 6 year warranty.I paid on his phone or Tablet-signed my name. Asked my email address saying he would send receipt of payment to email address. He handed me a folder which I thought had all paperwork from today's work in it. I have Lupus and it was a LONG day. After they left I looked in Folder. There was NOTHING from today's work or about the warranty for Water heater. It was about something for an A/C contract maintenance program! So I waited a few days-nothing in my email. I hadn't heard from inspector either. I called Town of Dunedin to see if they even pulled a Permit. NOPE. The man at the Town Building Dept told me that """"they know better than this-they know they have to have the PERMIT BEFORE than can do the work"""". I called Ray Duncan Plumbing. I asked for a Receipt - a REAL receipt with their letter head, with the date, telling what was done, parts numbers, telling I have a Warranty on Water heater and I told her I spoke with Town of Dunedin and NO Permit was Pulled but I was charged for one. A Man from Ray Duncan (was told there is no longer a Ray Duncan that they just use the name??) called me. He said guess I wouldn't leave my email so they couldn't email receipt. NO..I gave my email. I want a paper with letter head showing everything done with serial numbers and prices with final cost, saying there is a 6 yr Warranty-not just that I paid. Then he said his man """"Forgot"""" the paperwork for Permit. How can that be? They do this for a living! I'm sorry I find this NOT HONEST. I won't be using them again.

I have two sinks in my master bath, with each having a hot water handle and cold water handle. One sink developed a drip from the center faucet, and the other developed a leak at the base of the cold water handle. I attempted to fix them myself and was not successful. I called Ray Duncan Plumbing based completely on their recent television ads, which commit to complete satisfaction. A plumber came to my house, about 45 minutes past the two-hour window I was given. I had some parts, but apparently not all he needed. He came with no parts, although I told the scheduler I did not know if I had all of the parts - he came totally unprepared to repair my sinks. I had to make a trip to Home Depot to buy a part, only to get home and be told it wasn't needed. After completing repairs, my bill came to $362.64. The next day a new leak had developed at the base of cold water handle that had not leaked before. And, a leak developed at the base of the hot water handle of the other sink - that had never leaked before. When I called Ray Duncan Plumbing about one of the new leaks and to schedule another appointment, I told them I did not want to have to pay another penny and wanted the repairs made. A note was made of this demand, but when I got a second call I was told I could not be guaranteed there would be no additional charges. $362.64 should be more than enough to pay for minor repairs on two sinks. I cancelled the return service call. I will never use Ray Duncan Plumbing again. I will either fix them with a friend's help or call a better plumber.
