Rathmann Plumbing
Company Overview
The origins of Rathmann Septic Systems date back to 1945 when Richard W. Kosmatine founded Kosmatine Plumbing.
Robert Rathmann, the stepson of Richard, joined the family enterprise in 1962.
Bob's involvement led to significant growth, allowing the business to take on many substantial residential and commercial septic system projects.
Bob launched Rathmann Septic Systems in 1976, focusing on new residential construction, septic systems, commercial builds, and industrial process piping. Soon after, the company added system design and permitting to its offerings. The business grew to include excavating equipment, hired more staff, and tackled increasingly complex projects.
In 1982, Steve Rathmann, one of Bob's three sons, joined the family business, working alongside Bob and Richard Kosmatine.
After 30 years of ongoing expansion, Rathmann Septic Systems integrated with its parent company, Rathmann Plumbing & Heating, Inc., and was officially incorporated in 2006.

Do not even bother calling them. The secretary is awful. She does not return phone calls and when you finally talk to her she is very rude. She gave the option of replacing the whole unit because it was old and they could not get parts. Spoke with repair man he had no idea what she was talking about. Called the furnace manufacturer and they stated parts where available for that model. Apparently her and the owner only want to install brand new units for large amount of money.
Ronnie M.Spent over $18,000 on a new septic system with these clowns. Took over 1.5 years to complete and what a mess they left me. The pump alarm went off after 48 hours of completion, the leach field has a pipe shooting water up into the air like a fire hose, and they completely destroyed my yard. Claim to have done a machine finish, as in put back remaining dirt they dug up and drive away. Excavator tracks everywhere, huge rocks and clumps of dirt the size of bowling balls laying everywhere, and giant standing puddles of water in my yard where they didn't level it down. They just wanted to get to there next job asap and left my property looking like Fido's A**. When spending that kind of $$$ on someone you would expect quality work, what a joke.
