From the moment I spoke to Diane I knew everything would be okay! I love when older trades embrace modern technology to make communicating with them seamless. When I hung up I got a text confirming the appointment. Then I received another text when Eddie was en route. And get this... He was EARLY! We all know what normally happens with a time window. They say 4-6pm and sure enough they show up at 5:58. Well Eddie showed up at 3:45pm and I knew about it because I got a text telling me so.

We had a blocked sink due to injudicious use of the garbage disposal and though he could have made the job bigger (and therefore more expensive) he showed us how to power flush the system instead! (Sorry, but I won't reveal his secrets. You'll have to pay for that ) Both Diane and Eddie were personable and easy to work with. Thank you for being forward thinking business owner. We appreciate it!

Edward and his son came to help with my clogged mainline. I've had multiple issues with it and after dealing with many different plumbers.. Edward found the problem in less than 10 min! I've paid hundreds of dollars in the past to have plumbers scratch their heads.
Edward was very knowledgeable, explained everything while showing me my issues. He shared his recommendations, and concerns. He was polite and very professional. He worked just butt off in the hott sun, making sure he inspected everything. He also called and asked if he could come early.. a huge bonus in my book because this was an emergency situation. I would recommend them, and plan on using them in the future if i ever need a plumber again. God bless you Edward

Our water main pipe into the house cracked and was causing water to leak into the soil and saturate the side of the house near the front entrance. Edward, owner, came out on a Saturday and assessed the problem with an explanation of what needed to be done. He went right to work and was able to repair the leak by replacing the cracked pipe with a new one. I highly recommend him to any homeowner/business having plumbing problems. Thank you so much Edward!!!

We were very pleased with the service from Edward and his son, Jonathan. My bathroom flooded due to a clogged main line underneath the house. Because of the blockage, there were multiple drainage problems throughout the house, including the washing machine and every other bathroom. Edward initially informed me that he could not access the problem due to our single direction clean out pipe, located outside the house. Because of his expertise, though, he was willing to risk his equipment by accessing it through another shower in our house. Unbelievably, this solution worked, saving us time and the huge expense of fixing the single direction pipe. We were very grateful and impressed with Edward and his son. We will definitely call them again!

These guys were sent through my home warranty service. I had a clogged sink in the master bedroom, most likely hair. Before calling the Warranty company I removed the P-Trap to see if the clog was at the elbow. This is very simple process, maybe slightly more complicated than using a plunger. Well the clog wasn't at the P-Trap, it was inside the wall so I called the Warranty company to set up a visit.

Rapid Rooter was dispatched and when I showed him the sink, the technician's eagle eye spied my channel locks still laying under the sink. I explained what I had done to clear the clog, plunger and clearing the P-Trap, no biggie right? Well, evidently the technician didn't want to earn his money this day so, before even turning on the water to evaluate the clog or bending over to look under the sink, he made some kind of excuse and left.

I waiting a couple hours and called the Warranty company for a status. Well, turns out this eagle eyed plumber told the Warranty company that I, the customer, had attempted to fix the problem and therefore Rapid Rooter refused to complete the job. Yep, he saw my channel locks under the sink, figured he had himself a quick $65 without having to do any work so he fled. Basically, Rapid Rooter quit the job after 1 minute.

Now, my Warranty company expects me to pay Rapid Rooter $65 for a 1 minute visit. Fat chance. I'm fighting this rip off and if my Warranty company doesn't relent I will not renew with them and they will lose $600 and Rapid Rooter won't get their $65 anyway.

I called another plumber and he had the clog cleared and sink back together in 30 minutes.

Dishonesty is why this company gets my vote of 1 star. Very dishonest.

REBUTTAL TO OWNER'S COMMENTS.
This isn't the first time I've used this service or tried a little troubleshooting before calling for service. I know how the game is played, it's up to the technician if he wants to do the job or not. If he doesn't, he runs out the door and claims the customer did something to impede repairs, like your guy evidently did.
During the visit, I was 100% honest with your technician. I told him there was a back up, I told him I tried the plunger, and I told him I checked the P-Trap. He took my statements and ran with it, right out the door. He had his out and he took it.
I suppose I could have lied and never mentioned the plunger or about checking the P-Trap, neither of which takes much skill or would impact how repairs would be made. In fact, the plumber who actually did the job listened to what I told him and immediately removed the P-Trap so he could access the wall and get the job done. I saved him troubleshooting time.

There was no need for your tech to quit the job. It is all in how he phrased my statements to the company. As I said, honesty is not evident and earned your company a 1 star. I stand by that.

Edward and his son showed up on time and got straight to work. He explained every step of the process and showed me the issues along the way. Very well priced was not pushy in the sense of things that needed fixing. Highly recommend contacting them for any plumbing issues.

Thank you Edward.

Eddie fixed my problem over the phone. I called 4 other plumbers before Eddie, and the started with how much it will cost. Eddie suggested a quick fix that worked.
Peanut butter pie is all it will cost me.

I work with a ton of vendors. I am responsible for 5 restaurants and two properties. Needless to say I have plenty of experience with plumbers. I have used Rapid Rooter as my Plumber many many times on a variety of small and hint jobs. Everyone I have dealt with all along the way have always been very professional and they are fairly priced. They are quick to respond in an emergency and always complete jobs to the point of 100% resolution.

I read the 1 star review and was baffled. I would have to wonder what would prompt someone to think $175 is unreasonable for a service call. MOST service companies won't even show up for less than that, let alone resolve anything. A few things to remember when you are nickel and diming local businesses.......He has the cost of his time, wages of an employee, the equipment necessary (not just the washer), insurance, licenses, work comp, fuel, vehicle costs, plus the ridiculous costs associated with owning a business in CA and much much more. How sad that one person wrote such a negative review over $175.

The point of my rant.... they are a reputable and fair company who excel in fairness, integrity, and customer service. Don't let one persons opinion sway you from using them.

I should not even write a review when I am this angry...

I have had Rapid Rooter come out on several occasions to do work on my rentals. I have been happy up until today.

Today, they went out to inspect a laundry room water faucet that was dripping. The plumber called me and said he needed to change the washer, and that would fix the problem.

I immediately felt relief.. I mean.. who wouldn't... a little washer. easy enough right?

It was easy alright, all said he was there less than 15 minutes in total. But the price they wanted me to pay for 15 minutes... $175.00. I wish I was lying. I can't make this stuff up. After reading through the reviews, this is their MO.. when they figure out they can take advantage of a situation.

I called and spoke with Diane in the office to express my shock, disbelief, which finally turned to the feeling of being taken advantage of and anger. They ended up charging my card for $150.00.

They have lost my business FOREVER.. and anyone I speak to. In fact, I am so angry, I will make sure everyone on Craigslist.. where they advertise knows about this too!

I do believe in karma.

I chose to move forward with the telephone quote, because I was already on the line for the charge to come out. No matter what response Rapid Rooter makes to my review.. it will never make it ok to charge $175 to change out a washer.. never. That is important to keep focused on.

This is hilarious.. they keep updating their response to continue to be defensive. How about an acknowledgement.. and keep trucking? My opinion counts as well as everyone elses, and my experience really did happen. I won't be bullied. Nothing you say will ever support you charging a client $175 to change a washer. Nothing. Keep on ranting...

I was in the garage last night while my daughter was bathing upstairs when I felt water dripping on me. Long story-short; I looked for the source of the water and could not determine positively. I read their reviews this morning and called. Eddie and another young man came out in about two hours (I live in Kerman) and found that the overflow cover was loose and then inspected for damage. Yeah, I could've done it myself, but now I know what the cause was and now everybody can use the bathroom again. Cool guys.
