Recommended Customer Reviews

I used rapid plumbing company on December 24th and for the most part they were accommodating and punctual. However, after reviewing the issue they came back with an estimate of $575.00 and about an hour of time. All they had to do was replace both shut off valves under the kitchen sink. Parts that maybe cost $7.00 each at home depot. When I asked ""why so much"" they said because it's Christmas eve. Really, the last time I checked Christmas eve is not a sanctioned holiday, and it was not a weekend. When I asked can you do any better, they said I will check with my boss. We settled on a military discount. That came out to 15% discount. So instead of paying $575.00, I paid $488.75. Still way too much. I would never recommend their services to anyone. And I would hope corporate would discipline Manuel Luna and Rapid Plumbing for price gouging. Shameful.

This is a review for repairs done June 2017.
If I could rate them a ""0"" , I would. Ralph F came to replace our power flush toilet and in order to do so, has to shut off the main water valve. He broke the lever of our main water valve that now needs complete replacement because the next plumber who came cannot turn it to shut it off. So on top of our other expenses now, we will be charge an additional $350 for Ralph's clumsy job. We tried to reach out to them before and explain the issue at that time, ralph never showed his face again , they sent another person and that person who promised to come back, never did!

My Moms house backed up and we called Rapid plumbing. Oscar came out on a Saturday, after 3 snakes finally had to jet out pipes. He gave us options and we decided to replace all the drain pipes under the house. And we decided to reline the drain pipe going out to the street. Yes, we spent a lot of money, but are confident we will never have plumbing problems for many years to come. Oscar and Julio are very professional, hard working guys. They spent 6 days working at our house. And the pipe reline guys were very professional also. And that was fascinating to watch the process. I would HIGHLY recommend this company and I will always call them in the future.
Thanks guys!!!! and thanks for all your hard work!

If I could go with less than one star I would. This company does not deserve stars at all. What started as what I thought was my main sewer line needing cleaning, which is bad enough, having nasty water coming up in my bathroom shower. I had used Rapid a year before, with no issues. However I didn't know about all the buying, selling, and ""new management"" that had taken place in the time since. Turns out, it's not the main sewer line. The tech tells me that he can do one option for around $500, may or may not work. Of course it doesn't. Next option, requires making a hole in the concrete in my entryway to access the pipes. I've kind of blocked out some details, so forgive my poor memory. Cost, in addition to the $500. another approx. $2,500. Once they get in there, they find damaged pipes, around 25 feet, so they will have to go underground to access the pipes to reline them. Of course they showed me on the camera, but neglected a few tiny details. They show me all the damage on one side, but did not show me that the other side was pristine. One was that they were going INTO my house, but had led me to believe they were going in the opposite direction, down my driveway. Also they didn't explain the how, so my understanding was that they were going to jack hammer up my floor as they has done to the outside to access the pipes. Also, again they said 25 feet. At a cost of an additional $6,700!!! I sent them away telling them I needed to think about this and to figure out the finances. In comes company #2, turns out the 25 feet was Rapid's minimum and not the measurement that I actually needed. They never explained that there is a 'new state of the art' machine that goes underground and relines the pipes, and the cost was over $1,000 less, plus I would never have had the original 2 charges from Rapid had I called someone reputable from the start. New management maybe, but the owners are the same. Oh and Rapid, while refusing to do away with their 2 excessive and crazy first bills, did negotiate with me, and settled for a substantially reduced amount. And they (the Rapid guys) kept showing up at my door unannounced, which is totally unacceptable. AND I don't get the multiple locations because I believe they are all the same company/owner.

After comparing prices with other legit companies their price was extremely extremely high and the job was not even done properly

I previously posted an excellent review of Rapid Plumbing. Unfortunately, (like many companies), their business has changed for the worse, forcing me to delete it in the interests of honesty.
I have had Rapid Plumbing at my house previously to repair a leaking gas line behind my stove a couple of years ago. On that visit, the job was completed on the same day and the cost was reasonable - around $275.00.
On 10-14-17, the handle on my shower faucet wouldn't turn the water on. Then, when I kept turning it, the water came on but wouldn't turn off. I phoned Rapid Plumbing for the repair. Their technician looked at the job & said, ""It will cost you $185.00 for me to take off the handle & look at it. Then, if the cartridge is bad, it will cost $395.00."" I found that outrageous, because I had already removed the handle - which involves turning one screw...but I didn't want to shop around while the water was flowing out of the faucet full blast. The cartridge is a very inexpensive part. In fact, I phoned the cartridge's manufacturer--Moen-- & asked about the part's price. It is so inexpensive, they sent me another cartridge at NO charge.
The technician left to get the cartridge & returned & replaced it in less than five minutes. The same job costs between $175.00 - $285.00 maximum with any other plumber (I checked nine plumbing companies).
I also had the technician check my bathtub drain to see why it was slow. He suggested replacing the 65-year-old drain pipes for the tub & gave me an estimate - for $1,900.00. Yesterday, I had another plumber do it for $1,050.00 with a written lifetime warranty.
It is interesting that I received an e-mail from Rapid Plumbing, thanking me for my business & also complaining that customers will post bad reviews without first contacting the company with their concerns & they don't think that is fair. I replied to them, hoping to discuss their outrageous pricing, but they don't care enough to respond. Apparently, they don't realize that they'll only rip off a customer once because he will never call them again & word will get around.
Note the many low-rated reviews for Rapid Plumbing. They are well deserved.

If I could give lower than one star I would. My mother (who is 90) had a magnet advertising and called Rapid Plumbing. They took advantage of her and broke the main bathtub and shower control, plus the line going up to the shower head and broke a copper water line under the house. For this work they charged her $490.
They wanted to repair everything they broke in the shower and to re-pipe the sewer from the house to the front yard, that didn't need to be repaired for the small amount of $6,000. They used scare tactics telling her she couldn't flush the toilet until the sewer was fixed, and they could start right away.
She called me and I had our plumber go over and repair everything that was broken, it cost $900. Again, there was nothing wrong with the sewer.
My recommendation: If you have older parents living alone, check their magnet advertising and through them away, or you could end up cleaning up a bigger mess.

Disappointing service - the manager Alvin is just as uncaring and unresponsive as the staff.

This company gets one star only because I can't give them less. I called them yesterday to come out and fix my tankless water heater, was told they'd be out shortly. Hours later in the evening they called and said they didn't have a serviceman after all and rescheduled for the next day. Delay after delay, calls and promises that the guy was on his way, this evening they finally said they still didn't have anyone available for the job. So here we are now, day 2 without hot water and with house guests visiting nonetheless. This company is the epitome of crappy ""service"", call at your own risk.

Company gave quote between 6600 and 7400 for main line repair. After quote my wife presented 10% off coupon. They said they would honor. The final bill was 7400, spoke with Alvin who stated that it was taken off price. I'm not convinced.
In the company defense they did what they said they would do. Ralph is fantastic. The crew was great, cleaned up area no complaints. I'm sure they are premium priced but worked looked great. Just issue with quote and discount, felt oily.
